I never thought that Dr. Hornby was all that great big of a marketing thing or anything, but I didn't think that it was bad, either...
...until I saw this new "Buddy" bottle. Your statement does not do it justice.
(I remember Googling Dr. Hornby and being at least somewhat relatively impressed.)

I never said that "everyone" sells old grow nutes. I'm simply saying that it does happen. People from eBay, Amazon, etc buy huge orders from Advnaced, Botanicare, etc, never sell it. Then dump it for 1/4 price three years later when they can't sell it.
Then you buy it
Don't sit here, being dumb deer in headlights and not realizing whats going on around you. It happens, and I know two or three people who have been effected by buying old nutrients. Even multiple people on this forum. Saying that "it doesn't happen" it pea brained, and ignorant.
So on Advanced site (https://www.advancednutrients.com/advancepedia/product.php?productID=1&catID=33) it says 0-2-4 on the bottle, and 0-1-3 in the description... so who knows whats going on.

Dude, the bottle my hydro store had was the brand new Big Bud.
The one with Hornby is the oldest. Then just plain Big Bud and now the new one with Buddy.
Looks like you've been buying the old nutes.

i recently order a new container of the powder as my big ol hornby bucket ran out, stuff looks like a white powder ,not brown like the old one ~still smells the same like ramen powder, Wondering if they took hornby off the label because they decided to fuck with it and its not his recipe any more ?

the old formula smelled like dirty gym socks! looked like china white, with some coffee grinds in it. the formula has changed. how do you improve a great product? it is obviously more than a label change. sounds like big bud reduced or removed its aminos and Mg.

Do you guys think Iguana Juice Grow would go bad after eight months if stored indoors? I was offered some free bottles by a friend but I know they are old. I would never support advanced otherwise.
koolbloom does the job no doubt. I like L-aminos, and a boatload of Mg in my bloom ferts. i used to use the stuff when I had pallets of it. I been using hydroplex and finishing off w koolbloom powder. hydroplex has Aminos & fulvics. I like that!
