i'm with you on that. Always support local. its tough when you live in a big city. Because everything is greed. What has our world come to. every year it makes me sad to see how far we came and how fast we are failing to provide for our fellow American, with the American's dream. IE: owning ur own home etc.

I shop walmart... Don't particularly like walmart, but im in a small town and walmart is the best or often times only place to get some stuff.

dude i hate walmart....but where else can i get catfood, vac seal bags, lifintg weights, fishing and camping stuff, and all sorts of other random crap i need..i would have to drive around from store to store.
they also just got a huge shipment of canning jars at my local walmart too....i dont know where else i would shop really. what "local" shop carries vac sealers?
agreed..wallyworld has us by the balls, particulary us folks in the country where there is no one else to give them competition..
Three years ago I was working on a consulting gig with Walmart in Bentonville. I worked with their middle and upper management on a few supply chain projects. They are a conservative southern company with conservative southern values. It is not a fun place for a pot head.
Their decision making is centralized at their corporate Bentonville office, as is their supply chain system, distribution, and basically everything else. This decision was made by corporate, make no mistake. This was some old southern executive fucking over the hippy pot head in Michigan.

i hate shopping there...but im left with no choice.....everything is so much cheaper....a gallon of milk can be anywhere from 50cents to almost a dollar cheaper..
My local grocery store doesnt have a choice but to jack prices to stay in business...at the end of the day, i have to take care of my family before i support someone elses...
