Artic
I dont know where to start in response to all things you have written about auto's, breeding, growing, orgin, religion, life. Im 10 yrs older then you have the wife and a child(which has changed my life for the better) My daughter was born with a genetic disorder making me appreciate every moment of every day. She's awsome and healthy just Unique. But caring for her made me realize my passion for legal gardening(which you posted about) I luv growing anything, caring for, respecting, and trying to understand it. It's what i do it's what made me real and more honest and happy then I ever could imagine. Which when I got the mortgage haha. I was able to grow for the first time never realizing growing up in Boston I could of been doing all along especialy with the autos. Been smoking for over 25 yrs and now my passion has turned towards watching it grow and smoking of course what I grew it is very powerful.

Your passion is clear.

It's very inspiring.

it's amazing how much you can think, do and feel without all the distractions, but I must say sometimes when you start thinking about mortg. volvo wife kids whatever don't it will all happen the way its suppose to. lifes Journey.

By the way you might get lucky like me and find a wife that doesn't mind your Garden even tho she dont smoke.

Ahh welcome newcomer  Great post my friend, there is a lot of soul and heart in your words, very inspirational  I good to hear about liberated souls, I really like the dedication and love you express for your family. We dont do that enough these days imho, express our love and express what we think is beautiful. Love manifests in reality, speaking and feeling it is to create it and spread it. Its spring, lets talk about love :D Love big L :D

I was a lost soul for many years my friend, Ive tried a lot of things. Ive traveled and lived in other places in this world, at one point I went to live and study abroad. Ive served in the army and got great recommendations from my officers, ive passed all kinds of physical and mental tests and ive got medals and diplomas to prove it. I had jobs with huge responsibility and employees under me and more money at a young age then I knew what to do with.
But it hasnt given me the pleasure I thought it would tbh.

Im not worried about tomorrow tho, Ill worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. ;) Wife, volvo, well all in good time.. the goal cannot be wife volvo and kids, the goal must be love imo :D Then maybe the volvo ... not that its not a good car hehehe So I protest alittle against that while im still young. I also think there must be a reason why I am here in the ice deserts. There is always a reason for everything, I am here ultimately because of some event that caused me to be here. Right now ive got a cause, I dont feel lost like I did all those years working my ass off.
I feel ive reached some strange threshold in life. Not really sure what its about yet, ill reflect on that when i get old, maybe im clinging on to the last bit of teenager in me or whatever.

Im not bothered, nor ashamed to live my life like I want to. I dont want to conform to the masses under any circumstance. When and if I choose to buy the volvo, ill do it because its a good car and because I want one :D Meanwhile a sporty rental is nice to have since the old one isnt cooperating atm ;)

I am like science, I try to make sense, but Im always wrong in the end..

only breed lr2's for seed and find all your efforts very interesting. currently growing 2 lr2's and 4 Sativas the experience I really enjoy. 2 Thaixskunk and 1 g13xhaze and my fav. because of the mystery of it is a bag seed from the island of Antigua.

Sweet, I will encourage you to try and make some crosses with the lowryder to some other strains, its great fun to play around with ive found. Very educational aswell.

well again thanks you educate, inform, inspire, and upset some I'm sure.

:thank you: We learn together my friend, and inspire eachother. There are so many extremely intelligent people in this world, many of them right here in this thread, some very very intelligent people. We must keep faith in each other, and not be afraid to admire each other. We must hold the next man higher in regards then ourselves.

Thank you for your kind words, they are very humbling and I appreciate them. I am a peasant and im your apprentice :tiphat:. Massive respect my friend, all good wishes and blessings to you and your family.

I just love waking up and reading this thread.

Bombadil.360
: Andes seem great and I have always wanted to go there myself. I will in some years, if life lets me. The first picture you posted is awesome. looks like a beautiful beatuiful place.

Growing up I always thought that I lived in a place with big mountains. The tallest mountain in Norway is Galdhøpiggen(2469 m.). I guess Snøhetta is a little bigger when there's a lot of snow on it lol. Then I went to the alps, then I went to the Rocky mountains, then I went to the Himalayas......
Andes is deffinatly a place I want to, and need to get to at some point.
When at a mountain, I usually feel more happy and at peace When I amnot at a mountain. So. I always try to get to the mountain......

It has gotten colder here after the volcanic erruption, but I do not know if it's a direct effect. The scientist say that the summer can get a little bit colder, but they also say that they really don't know shit. We will just have to wait and see. I was hoping for some free fertilizer, but thats's a longshot. No ash on the ground here.

So much I want to comment and write about in this thread, but I don't get around to it.I'm blaming my busy life I guess. southernlivin and I have some things in common, and I can hear in the background that my day is definatly starting.

Have nice day ev. It's sunny here today:dance013:

Well Artic I could sit and talk about how we all became the people we are all day long. One thing about running with the masses here in the states is if your like me and have no worries except for the1's we love. You can kinda sit back and appreciate what you have and what they all don't understand. For years my dad was trying to tell me it's not what you can have it's what you need. It took awhile for me to define need always chasing something women, a high, but I must say I had to do my way if i didn't I wouldn't be the person i am. School of hard knocks is a saying they use here. I needed a few shots to the head with the sledgehammer.

Breeding autos correct me if I'm wrong has to be auto male to female whatever?

Any basics on pollenating indoors? I have read a few ways people collect and distribute pollen without pollenating the whole plant or do you not care. From your stash of seeds it sounds as if you let your males spread all their luv to the whole lady

How long before the auto gene is passsed and stable 1 2 3 generations?

Thanks for insight.

have a good evening and I'll have a great day ohh my girl(daughter) has risen later

Artic You mentioned the music festivals in an early post. Do you have some names and places of some of those hippie type festivals. I dont really have time for such a trip aat this point in my journey, but my sis and brother in law are music junkies/hippies and travel all over u.s. new orleans especially for jazz fest. I think they would be very interested. thanks.

Nuts question. It's interesting to me that you spend the kind of money on ANdvanced nuts. I beleive when personnally do to my legal gardening and understanding plant/ human nutrient requirments that all that special cannabis nuts. is really just a repackaging of things that are available for so much less. They are smart business people behind all cannibis nuts. Not people like your self that don't see things for profit as much as for whats rights. So my question is what is your typical AF nut schedule? Have you found anything that you feel makes a difference during flowering to increase yield, taste, potency, finish time ect.....?

Thanks for help

hehehe.. your father is a brilliant mind. Ive always said that wealth and riches has nothing to do with what you have. Haveing is nothing, most lottery winners die poor, creating or the ability to make something is everything. If you have a skill, then one can give away everything one makes. It doesnt matter.

With plants as with humans, one just needs a male and a female, that is correct :D

i usually pollinate a branch or two maybe, that usually gives me enough beans. One can quite simply just use a paintbrush and gently brush some pollen one has collected on to any of the buds on the female. It takes about a month for the beans to mature, so this should be done some time between week 3 and 5 i reccon.

:D if you think of the auto gene in terms of blue eyes and the non auto gene as if it was brown eyes.

We know that the brown eye gene is dominant, as is it with the non auto gene. Its dominant to the auto gene. So a brown eyed parent and a blue eyed parent should produce brown eyed offspring.

So is it with the autos also, if one crosses an auto to a non auto, the first generation offspring is non auto from the dominant genes in the non auto parent. Ok that phenotype will have brown eyes, but they will also have the recessive blue eye genes from the other parent.

Ok so if you are with me then, the first generation offspring between a non auto and an auto will be non auto with recessive auto genes.

If one crosses two such phenotypes to eachother, the recessive auto gene will be expressed in some of the offspring. since the auto gene is non dominant, two first generation offspring from auto/nonauto parents will produce approximately 25% fully automatic offspring in the F2 generation. If one crosses two of these fully automatic phenotypes from the F2 generation to eachother, the offspring in the F3 generation will be fully automatic. Two fully af plants produces fully af offspring.

Hope this makes sense to you, if you want to read in debt on the subject I suggest you googlesearch "mendels law"..

Usually the festivals around here are smaller then the ones you are used to from the states, they are less organized and more open. Often they are fully run on volunteer help. The mood is generally laid back in these types of festivals.

One of my very favorite festivals is the Karlsøy (øy=island) festival, its a small festival that draws approx 2000 free spirited people to a small paradise like island in arctic Norway. Its situated at the mouth of a gigantous fjord known as the lyngen fjord, surrounded by very dramatic mountains that dive vertically into the fjord. The mountain range is known as the lyngen alps and the whole area is fantastically picturesque and rich in nature.

The island is shrouded in ancient myth and its very well known to most artistic types in the whole country. Its a magic island, completely weird cosmic type atmosphere there. The inhabitants in the area are very spiritual types that maintain a unique culture. For example there is a muslim colony there. And the christians arent your regular christian type either. This goes back a thousand years, but on that island the sunday mass is completely nuts.

The whole festival moves down to the church, well those that are awake and standing anyway. And a local rock band called "karlsøy prestegaard" which means "karl's island priests farm" or whatever "karls island rectory" maybe is a better translation, anyway they play at church and rock the hell out of mass. Loads of drunk out of their mind people in church dancing on the benches.

Its completely crazy, there is a beautiful beach there, where people go skinny dipping in the arctic ocean with whales and shit in the midnight sun.

Most of these festivals are very small and arranged by the local community, guards and police and shit is highly frowned upon lol. On karlsøy if the police come, they have to take the ferry, and then all the kids run around and yells "cops are coming cops are coming" hehehe.

There are many such spiritually themed festivals, another is the "riddu riddu festival". Its a festival with indigenous peoples from all over the world, arranged by a community of local nomadic reindeer herders that roam the great plains and mend their enormous caribou herds. This is also e very spiritual festival with music from indigenous tribes from all over the world.

Spending a month backpacking in the area is seriously a dream, its very open for tourists to move around and camp freely just about anywhere. We have the right here to set up tent camp on any property for 3 days if we are moving through an area. Fencing is illegal along the coastline so you can walk freely along the whole coastline. Its also very safe, there is no way one will be subjected to any type of robbery or uncomfortable situation unless one gets too drunk and fucks around with the local guys when they are drunk. There is a tendency to get absolutely fucking plastered out of this world and sometimes it turns to drunken boxing matches in the late hours. Nothing out of the ordinary, just good oldfashioned viking brawls. This is never directed at tourists, most often its the guys from 2 neighboring towns having a duke out and then they continue drinking and partying together afterwards. Sometimes its hippies vs drunk prohibitionists, then im in for the brawl aswell. :D If some drunk asshole is picking on a smoker. Or some asshole rats out a smoker.

In short the answer to your question is that I spend maybe 100 dollars on nutes on a run, 100 dollars is 10 grams of weed.

... here is a 10 gram nuggie :D :D ;)

picture.php

Think these are closer to 15 grams actually..

picture.php

This one is over 15 grams :D

picture.php

Its not a big deal compared to the results I think I get from using this product compared to for example canna products. However its worth mentioning that we dont have the same access to products here that you do in the states, its a very small market so its often hard to get a hold of alternatives. Another thing is that a friend of mine has an online growshop so I get discounts ;)

Ive heard good things about foxfarm nutes, nobody sells that here tho, but consider this room..

picture.php

To me 100 or 200 dollars isnt much to keep them as nice and green as they are with the products I use. With my growing techniques, I think i get good returns on my investments in these expensive nutes.

Peace!

Your a funny guy, But realy I guess what I thought was that you had to breed AF pollen with female nonAF. Ok I'm wrong I guess. Thats ok .
I fully Understand your explanation. Now it's time to get a plan together for breeding the next few years.

Thanks for the festival info. I'll pass it on.

As far as nutes well I guess I cant justify me or anybody to ever spend that kind of money in my world. It seems alot of people who grow in the states just want to get high and not really understand what they are doing. They never grew anything or had any interest in even being outside. You know instant gradification. thats why I think afs will become the norm. Once your done ur research and development, and why most commercial if not all is Indicas around here and up in the Northeast. I believe these companys are making lots of money because people don't want to learn they just want. whatever to each their own.
:thank you:
And your room of girls is beautiful so like you said easy to justify the cost.
:tiphat:

just experimenting with advanced messaging on this sight I still dont know how to post pictures Im such a stoner sometimes rather go pick weeds from my garden or mow my lawn or dig a hole.

hehehe sorry about the sarcasm :D But no, one can use any combination of auto to non auto parents.

I fully Understand your explanation. Now it's time to get a plan together for breeding the next few years.

Its all kinds of fun, and very informative aswell as it is inspirational to grow ones own beans that one has made by oneself. We men can relate to that :D

Thanks for the festival info. I'll pass it on.

There are thousands of festivals and places all along the coastline tho. And its a much larger country then one is lead to believe on account of the number of people in it. Very long and geographically and culturally diverse. I highly recommend it for people that likes nature and quiet picturesque places. In the summer, activity explodes and there are quite a few tourists. But there is little in terms of organized trips and such for the tourists so one is left to explore the area by oneself to a large extent.

The further north one gets, the less infrastructure and things are there, there is more and more wilderness and open free areas.

There are naturally bigger festivals in the larger cities, I would recommend the "Bukta open air festival" which is a rock festival in the city of Tromsø in the midnight sun zone. Its a place with approx 65k peeps in it, the festivals there usually draws some big stars. This year Clutch is headlining one of the days on this festival, and ozzy osbourne is headlining in the other big festival in the city called the "Døgnvill festival" which loosely translates to the insomnia festival.
Last year Snoop dogg was in the town, and the year before 50 cent and Iggy pop dropped in. So its a pretty well renowned scene that pulls pretty big stars. The hottest domestic and local bands are always present as well. Usually these are the ones the people are there to see.

link to homepages bukta open air festival: http://www.bukta.no/2006/01/7/information_english Looks like it will be a good year this year!!

Døgnvill festival homepages: http://www.dognvill.no/ ozzy and a-ha lol its a more family oriented festival believe it or not :D

Another outdoor midnight sun festival alittle further south in the city of Bodø (approx 50k inh) -Body hardcore festival- http://www.parkenfestivalen.no/content/view/105/89/

You mentioned jazz festivals... this is an excellend jazz festival. Its a really excellent jazz festival, renowned and it pulls very good musicians... its called the "sildajazz festival" which translates to the herring jazz festival due to the long traditions of herring fishing in the town that hosts the festival. Very beautiful picturesque city that is full of life during the festival days. Recommended, homepages here; http://www.sildajazz.no/english/

There are naturally many many more.. if one wants to go all out and head for the end of the world. There is a festival called the midnight rock festival in the far far far north of the country, close to the North Cape. homepages here but not in english im afraid http://www.midnattsrocken.no/ This festival kicks ass, its pretty wild, its pretty safe to say that the further north you get, the wilder the festival gets hehe.

As far as nutes well I guess I cant justify me or anybody to ever spend that kind of money in my world. I think you need 50 posts to upload pics.. the html code is [img) - [/img..

I would like to start making organic nutes, but for now its a little inconvenient where i live. I dont want to have that stuff indoors, and im renting so im alittle careful about the neighbors. Not sure if cooking up nutes on the lawn is the best idea right now atleast hehehe :D

Im reading and learning about it tho, we have a billion migrating birds that come here, canada goose and such. They leave plenty of dodoo to use for cooking organic nutes.

Ill get there some day, i usually leave no stone unturned, I often switch between growing in coco, in hydro and in soil to make sure I learn all growing techniques and dont get stuck in some dogmatic pattern.

I think constantly learning and challenging oneself is important or ones abilities can very quickly deteriorate if it becomes too routine.

peace bro

Oh and yes, AF's will be the new thing. It will dominate completely in the years to come.

A breeder known as *stitch* on icmag has released a line of what he calls "super autos", they are supposed to yield 100-200 grams and finish from seed in around 100 days.

Here is my prediction, the legalization will lead to lowered weed prices as more and more growers get on the wagon. It will therefor be of extreme benefit to for example the humbolt growers if they can harvest twice a year. autos that yield +200 grams and even more will be very interesting to these farmers.

In addition to providing double harvests of more southern latitudes, the autos will provide outdoor harvests for people as far north as my latitude. This will lead to a boom in canna production in Europe.

Its going to dominate completely, give it 5 years and non autos will be shun like autos were 5 years ago!

Artic do you sleep
now that spring is upon us your posting at 23:00 hours my time what is that 0500 or is it later local time?
I dont know time zones past england to well. You must be a very busy gardener.
Or is it that you have woken from your winter solstice and the sunlight is more plentiful.

Have you found all your outdoor spots. or Are you just growing indoors for now I guess it must be to early to be dropping auto's. I have avg temps of 75 day and 50 lows so I get thrown off about your world.
