Growing from the coco bag?

Yep no problem.
Just poke holes in the bottom and bottom sides for drainage and that is it.

Not sure of a thread but that is how I do outdoor every year.

I've always been tempted to just lay four bags per 4x4 in a pinwheel pattern and poke bottom holes with something like an "X" arrowhead and go.
I know I've seen someone try it once, I don't know who though.

perlite bag culture w/ tomatoes been done for many, many moons...
there also sawdust culture, etc...
using only the bag of perlite/bark/sawdust, layed length-wise on a heated floor, w/ 'x' holes cut, to insert plant. these can be placed on beds, troughs, raised, suspended from ceiling, etc...
in imagination, ran bl@ck g0ld coco blend straight from bags...
place bag in tote, either upright, or flat...
utility knife.
cut 'x', ~2-3"...place plant in center of 'x'... this is flap for plant to fit into, & permits the 4 edges to fold back down, next to stem.
slice 1" sections, ~2" apart, along bottom of bag. these are drainage holes...
end.

I'm thinking flat 2 clones per bag no perlite my plants do better with out it.
Should something be place under the bag like Hydroton for added aeration and drainage? You mention heated floor used mostly in green houses heated with hot water running throw the floor.
Not needed in my place but you have me thinking what is the optimal root zone temp for growing in coco?

the tubular shape is for drainage. an indoor floor may very well be pitched towards a floor drain
on a canna 50l bag i'd put two in diagonal corners
also, i dont poke holes. when doing a slab or that kind of bag culture, i take a razor knife and make 3inch slices

they should like 2 cuts per bag.
will they be recirculated, or drain to waste?
either/or, can sit the bag on a bed of hydroton, or lava rock (cheapo, re-usable), or regular bark (cheapo, re-usable). or, can just let it drain back to a res, from the tray/table...
optimum root temp in coco?
depends on external temps, humidity, etc... stage of growth, etc...
if room temps over 85*f(30*c), then maybe cooler feed.
@~ week 6-8, they seem prefer cool external temp, + warmer feed.
warmer feed during last week or so also help displace any accumulation of fertilizer residue.
this same technique can be used thru-out veg & life of plant.
every 1-3 feeds, feeding warmer water-only, to 'flush' out this/that. should be visible by the input of clear water & run-off of slightly yellow-amber water.
different methods of managing this run-off... some prefer to discard it, some prefer to condition & re-use it until it evaporates, is drawn up by plants or dehumidified.

... as the plant can adjust its own temp +/- from there, w/out having to increase or decrease by much, to reach its comfort zone.cooler when higher temps, warmer during late bloom (they like warm water then. can also most watch them swell!
