Lol, xmobotx, right-o. I got some good flowering nutrients and they seem to be reacting nicely to it. The purple of the stems is seeming to be non-existent on the newer growth.
Hydro, thanks mang. I can't wait to see it. Oh man, my friend just told me today that he's "pretty sure it's a Purple Kush seed." Lol, I sure hope it actually is. Well, I'll update in a couple of days. Got a new fan today, it's a 120mm computer fan. Should help with the heat problem. Until next time.

Haha thanks Scrubs! I've been reading the 'outside' temperature as the temperature outside of the box (inside of the closet), but it's actually the temperature inside the box. 80+ occasionally, but not ever over 83* F. Haha I'm retarded sometimes. They are starting to stankkkk. I'm pretty stoked on them. I am now kind of thinking I should have vegged them longer though. They are pretty tiny still, and I'm not too sure how much they will grow during flowering, but I guess I learn by doing. Still, for my first grow, I'd say, I'm doing so far so good! Thanks guys!

Hahah. Yeah, .50 cents per picture! Haha just joshing. I'll get pictures tomorrow morning. I'm tireddddd and my girl is getting kind of sick of me dicking around with my plants every single second of every single day.

Yeah, huh! Scrubs is dammed helpful. Thank you Scrubs. Lol. My plants are sleeping now, so I'll get pictures around 12 when the lights turn on again. They be showin' pistils alllll ova! Pretty exciting! I'm just afraid I'm not going to hardly get any buds off of them cause they are a tad on the smaller side. : / PK still hasn't sprouted either, in the Jiffy pellet.
How long does it usually take? I only have that one pellet in the entire thing, so I think the humidity isn't enough. It's hard to find a place warm to put it too. Gah, I dunno. If I can't even sprout a seed, I'm pretty sure I'm going to cry.

Scratch that. I just checked the Jiffy pellet. I dug around very lightly in it, and I could see the seed and a little sprout growin' under the thin layer of peat stuff, so I guess I just have to wait! Sweet. I'm betting it's the cooler temperatures that are doing it. I checked my closet today and it's only 65 in there. My plants probably don't like it that cold either. I dunno how else to keep it warm though. What evz.

I've been thinking about hanging some lights in there just to heat it up, but I dunno. I'll just deal with it. I'm moving out of this apartment in July anyhow, so I don't wanna do anything that I have to undo before I move.
Annnyhow, I found the Borg yesterday. Eff. My friend just happened to need a ride to get ladybugs, so he gave me a handful after I gave him a ride. I'm pretty sure they've done their job, so far. They keep getting into places they don't belong though. Hahah. Also, I scored a sweet cabinet from my friend. It's pretty decent sized, so I'm pretty sure I'll be using it as a cloning/vegging cab. I just have to figure out the lighting. I'm thinkin', getting some light fixtures, and just mounting them to the ceiling of the cab. There's a removable shelf and everything. It's pretty tight. Here are some pictures:

Oh, I am trying to figure out the exhaust/intake ratio for this baby. It's ~24'' wide, ~12" deep, and ~24" tall. I'm considering leaving the shelf in the bottom so I can put air holes through the back, but the shelf seems to be a tad high. Also, for lighting, I'm thinking about getting a old vanity lighting setup, tearing it apart, and mounting it to the "ceiling" of the cab. Throw some fluorescents in that bitch, and away we go. Maybe mount them onto the sides on the top, just so I have more room. I dunno. What do you think?

well the way i figured it out for my 120mm fan was that 120mm is like 4.7" diameter. so you take 2.35" (the radius, which is half of the diameter, since the area of a circle is pi*radius squared) and use the equation for the area of a circle to arrive at 54" squared...add a little bit more for headroom, call it 60-65. then you go about making a big, mine is square, hole in the floor. 10" long by 6"-6.5" long and there you have a hole with plenty of intake room.

PS put some fluoro tubes in there however you can manage...you could probably even get PL-Ls and grow some nice big mothers if you have the dough or the desire. also if you're using an 80mm fan or multiple fans, just change the equation around for your values.

I have a couple 120mm fans from some previous computer builds, so I'll be set on fans. I'm also thinkin' PL-L is a must! Well, I'll just get a couple CFL-s in there for now, but once I move, I'll definitely look into some better lighting. That would be pretty sick, have my mother plant in there, and my flowering bitties in the Mean Green Rubbermaid. Hahah. I just coined a new nickname for my grow box. yeah sorry i was super baked when i made that last post and gave you the wrong information...but you know what i'm getting at. 2x exhaust area and you're set.
also i called my rectangular hole a square because while i can remember equations i apparently cannot call shapes the correct name.

Hahah, it's all good. I knew what you meant. I just put some foam weather stripping around the doors of the cab. The cab is pretty warped so I needed to make the doors flush with the siding. It should keep all light out, too. After I figure out my exhaust/intake setup, I'm going to cover the insides with mylar. I still have like, a 20 foot roll thats 4 feet tall. Plenty o' mylar. Anyhow, I made the cab structurally sound with the help of duct tape. It works wonders. I've been looking into some short, maybe 2', flouro tubes for lighting. I need some tubes more like, 20 inches though. I figure, 2 inches on each side for the fixtures to fit, leaving about 20 inches for the lights. I dunno. Maybe I'm all off.
I don't really know much about the fluorescent tubes, but I'll keep reading up. Thanks for the help Happy!

55w PL-Ls are like 21 or 22 inches
55w would be overkill for mothers tho i would think unless you just used two...like one on the back wall and one on the ceiling.
perhaps 36w bulbs are shorter, i don't know.
also dude if you want to add some structural quality, reinforce those side walls...just get some 2x1s or something and put it in the corner so you can drill into it from the top and side...then put screws in!
