I am only asking I have had friends that came out here and over dryed their crops by accident. It ruined it. Maybe he doesn't know what he is doing I don't know. I just wanted to check with you guys. Thats all. Ideas always appreciated I am always trying to improve what I do in every area of my grow. Thanks

I prefer an assembly line style team for trimming. Armed with my weapon of choice: The ACE Hardware Mini Trimmer, We start with one person taking branches and stripping all of the fan leafs. Then they go a trimmer who removes the sugar leaf from the buds, and finally to someone with small fine point scissors for an inspection/touch-up. Also don't forget to make one person the official DJ/bowl loader/chef/gofer.

I have never used an automated trimmer before but the hand crank one that is fitted with a blade instead of a wire caught my eye. I just want to see first hand if these things work ok or if they mangle the bud to the point that it is devalued. I keep all of the good stuff for me and my patients, then sell the popcorn and mids to the dispensaries. All of the trim gets made into hash and that never says around long enough to be sold to a dispensary.

It's the headband or one of them it's some kind of cross of an og kush and a sour diesel from what I was told.. The flavor sure backs up that story though, so I tend to believe em..

Really? None of my patients will buy hash. I make really good, almost full melt, pinkish colored gumby hash (from sugar leaf and popcorn buds only) and my cheap ass patients wont even pay $15 a gram for it (when they can get bud for $10/g). So the dispensaries get all that I can't smoke myself for $50 an 1/8th (where it is sold for $30/g!). It's going to be a while before hash catches on with the masses here in the states I think. Right now growers and wealthy yuppie types are the only ones I see regularly consuming hash.

Gumby Hash!
There is your problem...

Although I like the idea of gravity filtration, and that is applicable to brewing, too... I still have to say, after making all sorts of different styles, BubbleBag is still the best...Invest in a couple of low mesh work bags and filter the microns after, top notch, I just haven't had as clean of a taste with Gumby, ever, as I have had with the bags.

Seperation of strains is going to be key with treating good hash like wine. Also curing of the hash medicine.

The market will come, it is just a matter of when.

And the reason hash is so prevelant in places like Spain and Italy, is because of a supply/demand ratio. They can grow farm feilds of it in N.Africa, that is why they don't sell bud. You would think the Mexicans would be doing more of that too, I guess they just make enough on swag to not justify it.

LOL, nah brother my Hash is killer. I used to use bubble bags but gave them away. The gumby I make is twice as good and half the work as the stuff I produced with a bag system. If it wasn't good the dispensaries wouldn't buy it or be able to sell it. My patients are just unsavvy and a bit cheap. But they do help me trim, so I guess I got that going for me,...which is nice.
