Small seedlings can be a nice treat for a snails/slugs. Thats more than lickley what happened. It is very normal to loose a few seedlings as you go along most growers go by the rule out of the plants you plant you will harvest a 1/3. Of course you can change those ratio's. For the snail problem theres all sorts of powders you can buy to protect your plants.

Deer could be another pest that could have eaily been eating your seedlings. best deffense for them is to put a fence around your plants. In my experiance once plants reach a foot or so tall the animals tend to leave em alone. But there are times where curious deer or very hungry deer will still destroy full grown plants.

It deffinatley sucks to see your seedlings gone but I think with you starting so early on them you have plenty of time still to get another round going. my reccomondation plant double what you think you will need you can always cull the weeker plants if you think theres to many.

ya, these were MAYBE at most a foot tall so could have really been anything, moved the plants from that spot just in case it was human related...

Hey guys, glad to see ya taking advantage of a nice area here in SoCal for an outdoor grow. I can pretty much guess the location though based on your description and photo's, so be careful.

I've been doing most of my outdoor stuff down in Mexico, but it's just too dangerous now to continue down there. Many of my buddies grow outside here in SoCal. I have a nice place staked out right under everyones noses here, but we take a little different approach than you with our grows.

We pack in pre-rooted clones by the dozen for our spots. This allows us to get plants into there that are much more likely to survive all the shit that can happen. Starting from seed out there could be a rough if you find that many of your plants turn out male also.

Going with clones from pre-sexed female plants will ensure you have all females, and lots of them too. We can pull a dozen clones off a medium size female plant at home, then pack those into the grow site. 10 medium female plants and thats 120 clones ready to pack in for the first trip to the site.

It's just a little more difficult to deal with seedlings directly at the site. After the first planting out there, we veg the mother plants out a little longer, and have dozens more clones ready to go for future trips to the sites.

Just something to think about.

ya i prefer seed...don't really like clones they seem like they're not as hardy as to if they are originally started outdoors from the wee little bean

OK so here is a small update..a little bit of disappointment, five of the plants have started to flower and one was a male, i pulled it today. One other may be a male im not sure yet..the other four plants are getting big and still vegging away.

here is the male i pulled..these seeds are supposed to be femmed or so says sensi seeds

here are the ones that have early flowering...not even a foot tall and flowering..what a shame, hopefully they jump back into veg

Looks like they are doing well....but once they do indeed start vegging again, don't you think you will want the plants more spread out? Seems like they are just going to grow too close to each other.

and you are so lucky to have a decent spot out here! It can be tough in Socal.

Woohoo glad they all germed nicley for you!! I grew out some of those PTKxTW/SD plants and had gave em a smoke test on 4/20 they really smelled alot like the Pine Tar Kush mom and as they grew they also have the same structure of the PTK which is more of a shorter indica shaped plant with very large bat size buds in the end. I had two of em and they both grew almost the same way. I can't really say for certain yet how string she is as I had a few different kinds of bud to smoke that day:). Keep up the good work guys.

Damnn, I'm jealous. I've been looking for a new house to move into with a backyard so I can grow outdoors. I'll be checkin' in! Good luck and stay safe my friends.

Hello everybody,
Just got back down from the plot and finally remembered to bring my shit piece camera. So here is some pictures.....

Some of these are showing some type of deficiency, or maybe a pest?

This leaf has it the worst, let me know what you think it is.

A nice lookin Orginal haze x Skunk 1, 9 pointer:yummy:

So, i have these two plants that are in a very shady spot and were already flowering so i said the hell with it and now my plan is to try to get some Early Skunk seeds off of the little girl. My only dilemma is that the girl may be to far away from the guy to get pollinated. Call me an idiot but iv'e always wanted sinsemilla in the past so i know next to nothing about the pollinating process, anyway enough talking and here is the picture so let me know what you think, thanks in advance.

Hard to believe that at one point there were 40 seedlings out there..that was until the snail and red spider mite infestation occurred..luckily its now under control

So everybody let me know what you think:tiphat:
