Yeah, it's just that feeling for me...that "what do we do now?" feeling. The wife and I have a very similar routine...

By the way, may I note the flatted fifth is my favorite interval. =) I am a music major and have been trying to break my addiction to playing spacy-flavored passages with that little flat in there. hehe.

Yeah man. Music is life. I studied for quite a while, played sax and bass all my life. I don't concern myself with theory and stuff too much anymore. Just use my ear and know what sounds good, react to it and make music! Much more satisfying in my opinion than studying and practicing hard. You ever read "The Music Lesson" by Victor Wooten?

peace!
Fifth.

I remember when i first started, id be flying for like 4 hours off a couple hits. After long term use though, i loose the feeling of 'revelation', and even the elation and happiness. It seems to zombify me , instead of the uplifting edge im looking for.

its funny how people come on this post to get high and laugh at the quitters lol I quit as of april 1st, gonna spark one up on 4/20 though :)

I think it's funny. You went on a binge before your break. :)

I took a break while traveling for a week. It was nice to get home. Turn on the Vape and get nice and irie.

Take care of your business and then back to chilling. Work Hard Play Hard

good luck man, keep it up. i've heard that after the first few weeks to a month is all downhill and not too bad. I havent not smoked in over a year, but sure i could use a small break, but not sure im ready to go without my beloved herb. If i didnt smoke i would spend way too much time in my indoor garden.

keep it up, smoke breaks are always good, especially that first smoke after the break makes it worth is.

I've been smoking weed for over 40 years. Never took a "break." There have been times when I would stop and realize, "I haven't smoked any weed for 4 months." never can put a point on the last time I smoked. If an employer wanted some of my piss I gave it to 'em if some traces of weed were there and it was an excuse to not hire I was just as eager to NOT work for them as they to not have me.

What I don't get is why someone would think they can't "take care of business" just because they smoke. Was a time if I didn;t take care of business I would have been hospitalized or shot, smoking weed every day was in my job description back then.

While "Medical Marijuana" is the latest buzz word and people now talk about their 'medicine' instead of just weed and say they are 'medicating' instead of 'getting high' for the bulk of users out there Pot is a recreational drug. If a recreational smoker has issues over quitting or not smoking for a few days or weeks, they might want to look at their consumption as something less than positive in their life.

As one poster said "all things in moderation"
I like this quote a little better:
Abstinence is a path of choosing between profound suffering or abject failure. Moderation is a more humane choice.

can't quit 'cause i'm a medical user for a chronic ( <- lol it get's me all the time) condition but i've been working my tolerance down as of lately 'cause i'm running out of medicine but i've noticed that before i needed at least 0.2g to start feeling better....now i need like 0.01g (LOL 1 bud get's me smiling) and i can see that my condition is still in check :D...so yeah all that to say that i'm with you....in spirit :) hurray for low tolerance!

How's the break coming for all of you abstainers?

I'm starting my break 4/4/10 at 10pm EST. I always get anxious when I quit, but it's time for a good break. It also helps that my crops are far from anything resembling smokeable weed and I don't particularly trust the hookups available to me in my area.

Even the headiest heads must put the head to bed.

To one of the earlier comments from FriscoFranqcis, I think a lot more people than some think legitimately "medicate" even though they don't have a scrip or call it that. I think depression and anxiety (products of our consumer-driven hierarchical society and the lifestyle it demands) are more common than one may think. If Freddie Employee comes home after a shitty day at work and tokes up, is that recreational use or getting high or just semantics? I'd choose the latter. I still like to refer to it as getting high though; I think the 'medicated' term was necessitated by the societal stigma of marijuana and the cannabis-consuming population repackaging some of their language to bypass at least a bit of that stigma.
