im about to start trying the shooting powder, i hear good things. last time i went the the store the guy hooked me up w coco a and b, shooting powder and root excel from house and garden all free. he was trying to get me hooked... he might have tho. that root excel is fucking awesome. im replaced my rizzotonic with that for sure.

FB420, H&G is a good line of nutes, I've never used their whole line may I just may next fall tho. I have to say that I've been using the roots excelurator for over a year now and I LOVE IT! it has become one of those products that will never leave my line up, the only other product I say that about is Big Bud. Just to let you know how good RE is, big Mike an owner of AN recommended it to his customers over any one of his compariable AN products because simply it's THAT GOOD. I am sure they're in the lab to copy an exact formula til then RE is the best root stimulator on the market.

The shooting powder is nice and I am happy using it, i find i like it better when I use it for only 1 week (3 weeks from harvest), than used AN's overdrive (2 weeks from harvest). It almost seems like the shooting powder puts the buds back in the growth stage cause it cause buds to foxtail a bit, not that its a bad thing IMO some people may not like it tho.

So day 59 flowering and things are starting to leans over had to to some tying up earlier. I never had this problem in 5+ gallons pots with the Goat, she is a strong plant that can hold her fat dense nugs up without having to tie them in my experiences. The buds got heavy and fat now its time to dense them up!

Today they got bubbling overnight water mixed with some Overdrive, ph'd to 5.8, I will use the overdrive for 1 more feeding then its flush time .

So its Day 63 of flowering and They got plain water with some Overdrive ph'd at 5.8, this is the last feeding, I will be flushing from here on out. I was originally going to take them 70 days but its looks like now its gonna be more like 75-77.

Buddle, I can't wait to puff on this stuff! I was so mad when I had to reach for the last nug of it a week or so ago, good thing I planned ahead.

Day 66 flowering and I am started to flush them today! im thinking another 8-10 days til harvest!

Hi Otto (& everyone),
This is a fantastic thread prompting me to make my first post, I don't want to hijack it with newbie questions and apologize if it's inappropriate but I've been totally confused over the past few months with trying to figure out the way to do my first medical grow and I saw your setup and the light went on for me!! Would you be kind enough to tell me what equipment to get for a similar setup? I want to use grow bags and a tent, have the room, ventilation, etc. but have no clue as to what medium, lights, etc. to use. I'd like to avoid as many mistakes as possible from the beginning.

Fantastic journal, you obviously know what you're doing and it doesn't seem as complicated as other ways I've been looking into, including the Bloombox, etc. which is way to pricey for me.

Really impressed and thanks for sharing!

Bhaikar, welcome to the thread man this is a chill zone no need to apologize and ask as many questions as you want, We are here to HELP people grow better medicine for themselves not to judge and offend, people that do that are simply jerks.

This is what you'll need
-1, 4x8 grow tent
-2, 6" air cooled hoods
-2, 1000 watt ballast
-2, 1000 watt bulbs
-1 6" can fan/filter combo (out take)
-1 indoor A/C
- 25' insulated ducting
- 2-3 fans
- Large tie rabs to hold ducting


Now for a medium i use coco but that up to you, use what works best for you as long as the nutes you were using before. I would also recommend using 3 or 5 gallon smart pots as your grow bags. It really helps the roots breathe easily.

Think i listed just about everything except for my thermostat that connects to the AC so when the room temp goes above 78 it automatically turn on. It's very helpful but not exactly a necessity if you have plenty of ventilation in the room.

I was thinking of using Canna Care stuff but undecided. I'll get my tent, etc. and the lights set up then ask more. Seeds on the way hopefully and your list is duly noted.
Any recommends on the brand of filter and fan?
Also need a good timer for the lights.

Was going to use 3lb pots and start with Purple Haze (my all time favorite). It'll take a few weeks to get the room setup though.

Outlets in the room are 15 amp, 2 of them. Can I run 2 100W lamps and AC, etc. on these do you think?

first off I forgot to mention the TWO MOST IMPORTANT ITEMS you'll want for your room and that is Smoke detector and fire extinguisher.

What kind seeds you got coming your way?

My recommendation on brand of filter and fan is "CAN FAN COMBO" is comes with both the fan and carbon filter.

Is each outlet in the room hooked up to a different breaker or are they on the same one? a 15 amp break can hold about 1725 watts before it trips the breaker. I would recommend not pushing more than 1500 watt on a 15 amp breaker this way you never really have to stress about it tripping.

Day 73, and the flushing is going well, I am letting them sit in 48 hrs of darkness then will chop at day 75!

Got a little sidetracked, thanks for the input. I think I'll run 2 smaller tents, one with a 400 or 600 HPS and the other I'll keep a mother or two in under CFC. Give that a try first and see what happens and maybe stick a few lowryders outside also. Thanks for the input, nice results you're getting!
