Ok. So now my room will cost about 2 hundred a month. It was about 100 at last room with 2k. But my room wasn't sealed and my 465cfm fan was scrubbing my houses cool air outta the house all day there costing me a shit load bout 200 more in summer months. To make it even less efficient the 2 story only had 1 ac.
Sealed room with energy star rated seer20 minisplit was best thing that happened to my new upcoming summer bills. Hoping I run along similar costs in summer. Will find out soon.
Thanks for info. I never tryed to understand the charges just know how to wire shit up safely lol

We'll need to talk about mini-split AC. Did you look into the Coolorado? I think Lazyman mentioned it, looks really cool.

Also I thought you were running 4Kw in flower if so that should be 48Kwh per day for those lights so a little less than the $200. That being said I have a similar setup in a crappy old house, well the AC has been off and I don't use electric heat, dryer, oven, or hot water heater. So all the electric is for lights in the house and TVs / Computers. I'm going to guess that your house bill will be $600winter -$800 summer.

Peace, :joint:

I was inefficiently running and cooling a 2k room in my house and winter bills were 200 summer was 500 highest. So extra 100 for 2 more lights I guessing. Same here with me though only TV computer n occasional cfl lamp on. This house has yard lights n a pool to power so will be more anyway. N there are skylights so I no longer use lights in day like b4. Kept blinds shut due to lack of privacy b4 n that adds up

put em up ssa! like I said I'm in planning right now, hoping escrow will close in less than 10 days so I can get to work. It's my understanding that the main benifiet(at least for the builder) of 240v is that your able to use smaller guaged wire to power the same device, and smaller wire is much cheaper.

Go big not small. Use really fat 60amp or 100amp wire, run it from the main box on its own 60 or 100amp breaker. Then build a separate breaker box for you room(s) with each breaker 20amp controlling two outlets. I also like a timer for each 20amp breaker.

So you have an offer in on a new office building very sweet! I can't wait to see the upgrading start!

yeah, although the new place will also be semi-temporary, I'm trying to make moves. your explanation of the electric is pretty much what I had in mind also.

Thanks bro, /about the flip: although the flip enables me to get the most out of the watts, it doesnt let me get the most out of the space, and since I'm already paying for electricity in the 3rd tier(ouch, something like 38cents a kwh) I might as well fire up a couple more lights, and try to get the room as productive as possible. I've been trying to slowly build up the setup when I'm able to afford it, but since I'm going to be setting up another room it's time to try and max out production. I'm not sure I'm ready for $600 electric bills though, but phuck it gotta make moves. cant wait to sample some of your goods ssa, that shit always looks sooo killer!
I breathed a sigh of relief when I opened my PGE bill and it was only 389.00. Ive seen some 700 plus bills. Im hobby growing and cover the bills from my work income. Its my hobby tho.

We are med growing and it not bad compared to street cost of what I need. I would spend 1600 a month or more on street

Yes, but as we all know there is a shit ton of labor that goes into our gardens, not to mention equipment expense. We are very good at what we do and that is why we all run dry. Our shit is so good that it is gone to friends and family before we have time to harvest again and replenish our stash ;)

made it from cheap 1x2 from lowes, each sreen needs 4 8' sticks, cut one in half for the ends, and one into 4 2' pieces for the legs. use self tapping screws so you dont split the wood. I'd say to space the string( I use carpenters twine) 4" apart as 3" is a bit crowded. the total cost to make 1- 4'x8' screen was less than $10. try to train before you flip.

the 1 pk gave 104g dry, not too shabby considering last round the best one was just under an oz. snodawgs coming down tommorow, getting busy round here again.

anyone have recommendations on a good 400w veg bulb? my buddy recommends the hortilux super blue, any thoughts on that?

Also, I'm in the process of designing my new room. I'm stuck with 3000w for the moment, and the room will be 10x10, I'm thinking 3 on movers but vertical is sounding VERY tempting so I'm open to suggestions. I'm also considering going dwc, but I got to cycle out the rest of the coco first. I'll more than likely throw something in a 5gal bucket next run just to get my feet wet.

I used the horti blue and my plants grew a lot thicker under the t5s. I think there over priced but I do use there super hps for veg and flower and they work great. I use to just get the cheap 400 mh bulbs and they have always worked great. If ya want 2 horti blue bulbs there just sitting in a box not being used with the rest of the shit I didnt need.
If you can stagger them 1ks and go vert give it a shot I have been dieing to try it out. Dwc all the way. You wont see faster growing plant in anything else.

You have seen my 10x10 burning 2K in flower, a light mover might be the same as my flip flop. Can you really handle 3Kw heat production? If so moving 3K will make HUGE, HUGE nugs.
