CGs think their pts are ripping them off. ...............you wouldn't even be ABLE TO GROW IF IT WASN'T FOR THE PTS PAYING 200.00 TO A DR,THEN ANOTHER 100.00 TO THE STATE EVERY YEAR.a CG that ripped me and my daughter off and got 24 plants in the process. "CAREGIVER"......what a joke.

Just a few observations made in 50 years of trying to live in Michigan..

MMJ has never been hard to get, but finding a grower that cares about his finished product is harder than finding hairs on a cueball.

67% of Michigan population works for the state or LEO - over 300,000 people bailed on the 1st city to vote in MMJ. (Hint) It was NOT Ann Arbor.

Quality strains are the exception, not the rule....every Joe Blow that accidentally figured out how to finish bagseed suddenly thinks they are growing experts, and have figured out how to exploit the system to their advantage, much to the detriment of patients.

Tending a dozen strains perpetually is NOT rocket science, marketing them is.

Since the "laws" went into effect, personal observation seems to indicate that over 50% of "patients" are recreational users using the system to secure their buzz.

MMJ appears to be a get rich scheme for LEO snitches... (beware and be safe.)

Michigan MMJ laws were meant to be a compassionate attempt to ease patient suffering under constant threat of persecution, not an attempt to legalise and protect growers and dealers who only see this as a way of making a quick buck the way they always have - by ripping people off. (Justifying prices by quoting big pharm robbery is buying into the already corrupt system and adding fuel to the anti-MMJ propoganda that LEO is constantly spewing.)

I'm sure he's one of the dicks that does't even know how to grow too. There are really good caregivers out there. Even the ones speaking out here about constant ripping attempts by a-hole patients. Only an asshole would let a patient cost him money....and only an asshole would risk his ass for nothing.

Sorry all of you patients that can't get a good caregiver....you really need to screen people well. Better luck in the future to you....grow your own if you can, then you can only blame yourself for the absence of medication or poor quality.

By the way, it's a form and a $10 check to the state to change caregivers, everyone.....if someone's not doin' you right, get rid of them!!!

Thats just what we did,Miss B! Now we have a CG that treats us the way we treat him. He is reliable and honest and has high quality meds. Growing is not an option for us.

marijuana for life foundation in dearborn is $150 with real detroit metro times ad, that's the cheapest i've seen, other places are 200 and up. another 100 to file paperwork to the state. hope that helps.

in california most places are $100, no records required, all based on good faith that you're being honest about your condition. you also don't have to pay the state any fees.

where's the compassionate docs giving recs for free????

(#1. damn every time i go to a MI site or thread it seems to be taken over by some over righteous asshole who wants to tell everyone to bust their ass and make no money.)

Michigan has plenty of good growers its just working out kinks in a new law. Everybody has a different set up according to what they can afford so many different prices will come into play. Dont like the prices grow your own or have a Friend grow it for you acting as your CG. It is not this bad.
I helped start a Compassion Club in MI & many cats are just learning / scared yet. Laws are unclear in many areas throught the state but its nothing that can't be worked out with time. This Price war shit is really stupid. If you as a Patient are unhappy with the prices your CG gives you Simply fill out a form & change cgs or take control of your own life. I for one, certainly would not wipe your ass for free. So Take Hold, Be Bold, and Grab the Tissue.
