The use of our planet is no longer sustainable

"The use of the planet's resources is no longer sustainable.
A recent study by WWF, the Zoological Society of London and the Global Footprint Network revealed that humans now use in excess of 25% of the productive capacity of the biosphere and that two planet Earths will be needed to support our projected demand."

Some excerpts:

  • 77% of us are in 'ecological debt'

  • "...people are turning resources into waste faster than nature can turn waste back into resources."

  • "Since the late 1980s, we have been in overshoot - the Ecological Footprint has exceeded the Earth’s biocapacity - by about 25%."

  • "The Living Planet Index measures trends in the Earth’s biological diversity
Since 1970 the index has fallen by about 30%.
This global trend suggests that we are degrading natural ecosystems at a rate unprecedented in human history."

Seriously though... humans are inventive. The only thing holding us back is ourselves and people who want to do things in the name of "Protecting the Children" or "For the Good of the People".

Plenty of real issues to deal with, mate.

Another state of fear....when will it end.....what are they gonna say next....these days the drums beat faster and faster. I was talking to someone the other night while having a smoking session. Then me mate ruined the evening by telling me that in 2 years France will be a Muslim state....then the world and blah blah blah

Think we are all fucked in the end......what wil be will be.

That one is hilarious, you should just have laughed out hard and usre not worry. Only nationalists/racists people fear such a thing, which won't happen.

"Protecting the Children"

Not to make children is the best way to protect them.

Yeah I was having trouble not to laugh at that one. Yes he is a racist. He don't like me cause of my skin colour too, but these people will still have a smoke and laugh with you....just don't get it lol

Nothing lasts forever anyway, even if it did you couldn't use it after dying and no point in leaving "the planet" for other people's ugly children! I'm honestly not sure if I'm being ironic or not.

I wouldn't worry about to much.

I'm sure the elites have a plan to thin out the herd coming down the pipeline.

Get rid of a few hundred million people and we'll be just fine, right?

How many should have to go? We obviously have way too many around so, many are going to have to hurry up and die. F'ing pesky humans.

Whatever the case, I need to make sure that I'm on the board making these decisions and not down below.

I sure don't want to be the one picked to have my "ecological debt" wiped off the books.

Too bad the elites are living the least sustainable lifestyle and are likely to thin the herd from the other end.

You need to look at who the WWF and Planned Parenthood and other Eugenist organizations really are. But anyways, Quintus Septimius Florens Tertullianus said the same thing in the Second Century then Thomas Robert Malthus said the same thing in the 18th Century then Paul R. Ehrlich's book The Population Bomb said the same thing in the 20th Century. It was nonsense then and it is nonsense now as was witnessed in the famous Simon-Ehrlich wager.

If resources are so finite, why have supplies steadily been rising? If resources are so finite, why is the secular trend in prices, shocks here and there aside, almost always downward? As economist George Reisman has explained time and again, the fraction of a resource that we use relative to the raw resource is miniscule, and the majority of the input is human productivity. The difference between iron ore sitting in the ground vs usable metal is productive human input. Yes, there is a total amount of iron in the Earth. However the fraction that is a usable economic good vs the amount that is available is ridiculously small, and the usable fraction is subject to progressive expansion for its uses based on the same amount of material based on productivity improvements and marginal substitution. Or, put simply, the chances that we're going to 'run out' of this or that are near zero. And whatever we might run out of has numerous substitutions available at the margins, so worrying about 'limited' or 'finite' resources is a load of horseshit.

:good:

So who wants to volunteer first to die to save the Earth so that special interest can maintain control?

Anyone? Somebody is going to have to go. The chart is pretty clear about it. Somebody has to save us from ourselves so sacrifices are going to have to be made. That means you.

Nature won't be deciding this though, we've put our faith into a bunch of people to save us. No different from the Germans creating their master race. Much more nicely packaged and sophisticated though IMO.

Resources are indeed finite. The human population keeps expanding. When a population of animals uses up all the resources in it's immediate environment, what happens? The population crashes. Humans are no except to this law of nature. People like to think we're exempt, but we're not. The global population doubles every 30-40 years, roughly.

In our life time, we will be facing a crisis that we've never before encountered in human history.

Exactly. They use pictures of pandas and polar bears to emotionally sway the uneducated and feeble-minded toward their flawed eugenist agendas and to unite them against a common enemy. Ourselves.

Care to back any of this up with any credible sources? I believe I did so I'm not asking you to do anything that I haven't already. What you're saying has been disproved throughout history and will, in short order, be disproved in the future.
