Nice canopy, what in the world are those .....beds? that you have your plants in, looks interesting! What's your grow method?

Thanks. it's a 2'x4'x7" tray full of hydroton. I put the clones in 4" rockwool cubes, then buried the cubes in the hydroton. I started with just rockwool but was a little nervous about the roots outgrowing the cubes and seeing light. So the hydroton gives them something to grow into and keeps light off the rockwool and roots. I only flood 3x per day, but the hydroton seems to stay moist at the bottom of the tray. It also has the added benefit of taking up lots of space in the tray so i need much less water to flood it. I'm pretty happy with the setup, but we'll see if i still feel that way after cleaning the hydroton after each cycle.

Well you could rock a 600 cool tubed I would think as long as you can keep your temps right and then you'd be rocking that tent!! They recommend a 250w -400w for the DR80 and I'm running a Digital 400w and my first harvest which was a fucked up run on more than half of it was 11oz and maybe a lil more than that. I have a friend that gets 1.5lbs under a 600w HPS over a 3x3 table so I think it's very possible to pull a pound under a 400 or 600 especially in a DR80 probably need co2 to get that mark but I'm trying for it next run!

Also get the Quantum ballast dude that's what I would do since they are certified to work with the Sun Pulse digital HID bulbs that have the best selection of spectrums for HID bulbs anywhere! You can match the Sun if you veg with the 6400K bulb then flower with the 2800K bulb and switch to the 10000K bulb the last 10-12 days of flowering and you will get the best quality you've ever seen from what I hear...

oh i definitely agree, I would love to go big like the bigboys, but my gl80l (essentially 3'x5'xvertical) by wattage could technically take 2x600's side by side, would be at upper limit of 50-100w/sqft; but doable.

the dr80 lists as:
Assembled - 32.4" wide x 32.4" deep x 63.6tall
on a random site selling it. So that's roughly 2'8" x 2'8" - lets do us some math:

32.5*32.5 = 7.34 sqft.

50w/sqft watts makes it 367w
66w/sqft watts makes it 484.44w
75w/sqft watts makes it 550w
90w/sqft watts makes it 660.6w
100w/sqft watts makes it 734w

So pimp that shit ☺


fyi - everyone buys the 4x4 tent, puts the 1k in it and insists that the 1k is for 4x4, when often the dang tent is between 4'6" and 5' on a side! to see what this REALLY means:

4x4=16
4.5^2=20.25
5^2=25

(25/16)(100%)=156.25%
(1-(16/25))(100%)=34%

So, there is a 50% increase in space from the 4x4 to the 5x5, or a 34% reduction from the 5x5 to the 4x4. MEASURE YOUR TENTS


i'll leave this as ppl really do shit jobs of calculating these values for tents.

6x9, I have the gl120 4x4 lab & I wouldnt be surprised if it would hold more. I have my 400cfm inline fan, 12" fan, yield master hood & filter hung from my upper grid. I have yet to see any problems.

You can get a 250 very close without a cooltube. Use a 4' exhaust inline fan.

Get a small clam/clip fan to blow on the canopy to get the 250 as close as you can.

hello all,

just want to share whats hapenning in my tent!
It's a DR60 with a Plantastar 250w that I've been using since start. so far so good!
biobizz all-mix, bio-grow, bio-bloom, topmax, blackstrap molasses and a bit of epsom salt are being used.

Those are 4 fem big buddha blue cheese in day 12 of bloom.. vegged them for a bit more than 4 weeks.

I LSTed them pretty hard since week 2 in veg, had great response.. lots of side branches/colas... about 26 colas at the moment. Just 1 plant is topped (front left) but that was an accident when I was doing some stuff with the ties. She was already in bloom and responded very nice. lucky me

The weird thing is the small plant (front right) she is much smaller than the rest and have some very strange leaf formation, and it is bushier as well .... lets see

A cool tube is too big for a dr60... there are other options like the sputnik reflector, have a look at my previous post.

a rvk100 or similar is a good option for exhaust (and matching carbon filter) imo.
passive intake and a smal fan (pc or 6") over the canopy should do the trick.
