615's first PC grow with CLF and HESI

First of all: hey ya to all. I've been lurking around using several other names for quite a while now but having recently set up my first real grow, I got the itch to show it to someone.

My growroom is an old Compaq server case 23''x20''x8'' that is still waiting for Mylar. Currently 4x 18W 2700k 1200lm Philips CFLs seem to do the job. If i get my hands on some more sockets and proper ventilation I will certainly put a few more in (got a total of 180W worth of those bulbs for ~32$).

I germed some bagseed early in the year, received the proper lights ~20th Jan, flipped to 12/12 sometime in February. Also, I managed to get my hands on some great HESI Bloom fertilizer last week. Some pictures of the last week or two:

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Decided to move the PC to my empty library-room where the ambient temps are ~60F vs the current 80F in my own room. I still haven't got any ventilation in the box and the tops of some buds seem to have gotten a bit burnt.

Also arranged the pictures a lot more comfortably and here's a few pictures of the outside of the box:

The large whole at the back will one day accommodate my carbon filter.

Thanks Scrub, means a lot coming from you.

I must say that the lack of fans is solely due to my laziness ( and the fact that my only pc-fan exploded before the grow). I'm currently recovering from some minor surgery but I hope to visit a PC store some time next week.

Also, an idea just popped in my head a few minutes ago and now I hope I can get proper genetics in this hell-hole, maybe even next week and FREE.

PS, I noticed a very light MJ odour in my room today but other then that it seems to be an extremely low-odour strain.

Great lookin' plants!

I would suggest keeping the CFLs horisontal if possible. That would maximise the lights efficiency and get you a few more cm's headroom. Bigger plants = more bud =

Thanks, dude! I actually have 20cm of excess headroom. I doubt the buds will grow that much.

I forgot to mention that I currently have an extremely undersized pot. I suppose it's too late to carefully re-pot it now?

Today's hefty update:

This is the weird sibling of my main plant, no idea where it came from, it's the same pheno so can't be the other seed I put in.

If you look reeeeally closely you might see some seed bags forming, seems like I have a few feminised seeds coming.

I just got a wild idea double the light in the case. Will see about the ventilation sometime this week and perhaps find some cheap sockets.

Yeah, you can't imagine my temptation to soothe the post-surgery pains with some great canna-cooking.

I saw the glass workshop on my street yesterday and thought I might pop in one day and get a sheet of glass to separate the lights from the plants. I imagine one tiny sheet of glass for say a shelf can't cost too much.

The buds show new hairs every time I look in the case, it's definitely a lot more interesting than watching dreads grow.

Just got two extra sockets for the new CFLs and paid for the Ultra Kaze, gonna pick it up in an hour and when the box turns on I'll be building big time.

ok, picked up the Scythe and also a tiny bottle of HESI SuperVit that'll last me years with my tempo. I'm mixing into 1.5l bottles so I'll need half a drop of it.

I only have a 4.9V and a 9V adapter. It was quite quiet at 4.9 but could still be heard from 9feet away when not inside a case. At 9V it just blew the desk clear of all the papers but the sound was not that much worse, I think I'll find something like 7V.

I need a fan speed controller...you can hear it from outside my house...not to mention it can double as a sandblaster its so crazy...

Hey BC and thanks! I know what you're talking about... after today I do at least.

Everything's set for today!

Built a proper mount for the lights (they were hung with rubber bands):
Now there's 108W = 6600lm in there!

The fan sucked away my insulation from the front door so now we can peek through there

The soil was completely dry so I watered with HESI Bloom + SuperVit at full strength just after the photos. That means it might get a lot nicer there by tomorrow.

My back's aching from the crouching so it's time to light up some Afghan Kush I got yesterday.
Found a bagseed too but lost it at my girls' house.

Oh yeah, seem to be pretty decent genetics for a bagseed, huh?
