Banana Kush INFO?

getting 6 clones of Banana Kush, the source says it's triple OGKush x Banana. so it's reliable.

but i was wondering if anyone who's grown it could let me know about veg vigor and Yield outdoors, most importantly



i've never heard of banana, so i'm wondering how banana is going to effect the ogk in growth and yield

ive done a couple of grows with it and a family friends grows it as his bread and butter
its grows rather vigorously
big colas
great resin production
good yeild
great smell while growing
done in 8wks
a little bit of trim work to get it presentable
strictly from the growers perspective shes very nice.

smoke wise though (the important part imo)...
looks like a '9' smells like a '7' smokes like a '6'
i think its like smoking a pack of malboros with the 'flavor'. tough to smoke bong rips becasue of the thick smoke... to me. high is ok, but getting there sucks. the clientel who soak it up from my friend do not partake in bongs rather they roll blunts... maybe it combines nicely with the tobacco?

for commercial purposes, as long as you have clients who want it its great
for personal, i pass...

sounds very nice, but the smoke is the most important, and it sounds lousyyyyyy. shit maybe ill only grow one... i thought itd be fire being an ogkush cross...

it is sort of commercial, 90% of it won't remain in my hands, if its lousy smoke that might not work

id grow them out if i was you, just for the experience. especially if 90% was going out anyways... its easy to get rid of. the first time haha.

you might grow it out and either a) have something that turns out totally different than what im used to, or b) you might like the flavor and smoke profile and think im way off base. everyone gets high differently

edit: also i went thru the sdf#1 thread pretty heavily looking for pics of the banana... looks liek the pics have been removed but the text/dialog is still there.

thats exactly why i said everybody gets high differently and you should grow them out.

so far i'm doing 2 green crack, 1 purple x afgoo x trainwreck (purple A train), 2 banana kush, and maybe 1 purple mr. nice guy.

know im seeing if i wana switch a masterkush in there instead of a purple mr nice guy or banana kush

Nothing I've ever grown compares to the resin production from the Banana Kush cut going around Colorado. Everyone's keeping it out here and with good reason IMO.

I had to harvest this one the same day I took this picture(damn root aphids) @ between 35-40 days. Even harvested that early it gets me medicated as a motherfucker.

i think there are a few different master kushes going around

i have a friend whose mk plant stretches fast (needs no veg time to get 3ft tall) and puts out buds the size of you head (seriously head size 6+ buds). very nice yeilder and has some expansion with the smoke which is always nice. has a citrusy flavor. med/strong high. its nice.

i keep the socalmasterkush... its very different than my friends its more like bubba but x10 with zero stretch. totally different than my firends. it smells like mint in veg very strong smell when you rub the stems. pretty bullet proof grow wise. and i love the flowers. burning bong rips create the best inscence....

the banana og i am familiar with was described pretty well by lord humungus. this strain is all about flavor and aroma. i would not call the smoke lousy as someone did but rather a bit of a let down after this aroma as one would anticipate more punch after smelling dank. nor would i demean the opinion of others who thought it top notch but my best guess is you are smoking a hybrid incorporating banana og. i always thought that the best of banana og would be found in crosses.

yeah i know, thats what kinda sucks, the source doesn't know the cut either. i might just go with the banana kush to fill the kush craze in my garden. master sounds nice tho too, who knows ill buy one, might end up outside if i dont get a purple mr nice guy...

One more thing about the bk: it super-crops itself.

The one in that picture was topped once, but it was totally un-needed and I think it actually made the plant grow too dense and bushy for good penetration.

Also, all you really have to do to trim it is take the fan leaves off. The sugar leaves are sooooo frosty I think its a crime to cut them off.

If you keep the nutrients low, and I mean so low it fucks your yeild, the bud will turn solid purple and get an intense taste that makes it worth it.

I don't think it's very strong medicine though, yeilds well, fucking powdery mildew loves it.

foco-yeah i was gonna ask you what kind of training you would recommend. they'll be in 400 gallon beds, and we'll have round 5" x 5" cages for training, and we want bushes. penetration might not be an issue because we're outdoor and our light moves...

your saying forget topping all together, the growth profile is bushy and multi kolas naturally?

mexi-sounds very enticing, id do it indoors if i ever run it again after this season fersure.
