Old Skunk?

What reputable breeder could I get a nice old school skunk smell? A friend years ago, when I was young, had some stuff that smelt straight up like when u get squirted by a skunk. Sounds nasty but thats what i want a room of. lol

I'm being gifted some homemade Skunk #1 X Afghani seeds that pop a RKS pheno out of every few... Breeder and I talked about RKS a little and it seems this cross is a good place to find RKS. The afghan brings out those notes.

Good luck to ya tryin to find legit RKS from a seedbank, It won't happen.

I tend to agree with this... I haven't seen any true RKS since '97 or '98.... I've heard cannacopia's BC Roadkill might be something close. Give it a shot, it's pretty inexpensive.

In 1979 I was in the states visiting. Had an ass pocket full of money and needed a good bag of pot, since I had been smoking all hash and nearly no pot for over a year. (pot heads can't go too long without some good bud)
What I found was an ounce of afghan indica. A newish thing around there. These were fat buds unlike I had ever seen, and had the fresh aroma of a dead skunks rotting ass.

After I had returned to Europe, I made a long weekend trip to Adam. I was in the Milchy Veg and looking over the wares the dewd had for sale at the juice bar. lol.,..he had a piece of poster board with several different hash types in little bags stapled to the poster and handwritten descriptions in magic marker.
(Things were quite a bit different in those days as opposed today!)
He also had some fine little nugs in bags for sale, including some mexican, columbian, some sort of african stuff, and afghan indica!
Well, I bought a sample of the indica..and sure enough, it had a very similar odor to the buds I had recently had in the states.

I am 100% certain that these affy indicas are what charged the skunk smell into the hybrids that were to come.
And I don't know if the skunk line is actually the place to look for this trait. If I were to want to recreate the skunks ass smell, I would be using afghans I think. And my search would probably be with the pure indicas.

lol...I should probably write a piece about my adventures in Amsterdam in the late 70's early 80's...lol..I would include a cocky americans first encounter with Space Cake....lol....a humbling experience.

the where?

I remember when I first came to Holland there was a coffeeshop/juicebar called the melkweg that was opposite or next to hard rock (down on achterzidjsburgwal - or voorzijds, I can never remember).. and as far as I know had nothing to do with the melkweg venue at leidseplein... do you mean that place? Nowadays you can't seem to find any reference to it... only the venue...

would love to hear those old stories sometime, if you feel like sharing :)

I vote for superskunk theory as well. Maybe by crossing a Skunk 1 female with a stinky afghan male might do the trick. Since most breeders use a skunk male to sweeten harsh, productive afghans. The only other way to get that old school RKS would be to try to recreate the strain. That would be very hard since I think it was originally made up of mexican (michican spears), colombian (punto rojo), and afghan. I believe it was the mexican and colombian was crossed first then a male from that cross pollinated a productive afghan.
By the way, Sam the Skunkman posted that even he started breeding skunk for light/sweet fragrance because people were being busted right and left due to the 'skunk' smell penetrating everything. Apparently, that 'Roadkill' could be smelt through walls!

The pure F1 were sweet and few more afghan leaning, I did F2 and found both sweet and earthy tastes. Not the stuff to take with you to public places, very smelly when touched / jar is opened.

I have a friend testing Really Killer Skunk (R.K.S) femmed seeds, its supposed to be a really stinky plant. I'll be back with a report in a few months

are these fem seeds from the dna boys

IMO cannacopia's DC X BC roadkill is the one you want.

True skunk smella and flavour... intensely heavy stone.. serious charcoal filters needed unless you live way out in the bush!

how about that htc skunk didnt og bub say somthin about arks

also the shoreline cut

Anyway it goes like this: Bagseed was found from the Shoreline Amp in 89-90, seeds were grown out, a mother selected and this was the strongest thing this group had seen so it was kept {strange ropey growth characteristics, hardcore dank garlic skunk odor and more than just an Indica but an all out head and body high similar to O.G. or Hash plant}. These intelligent and educated growers before phasing out of growing, crossed this Mother with a Male NL#2 (Oasis)and these seeds were given to me.

the mass SS might be another ive heard shes lost her knock,IME sour d leaves that skunk lingering in ur mouth soo id love to taste her full on

i dont hav any experience with RKS i was not around for her but after experiencing this taste its highly desirable ,WITH THE HUGH REQUEST N FOLLOWINGS for years ive seen i dont understand why SAMS wouldnt give someone he respects whos willing to do the work the stock i believe he said he still has but hes not interested in projects atm
