WHat bullshit, i sent an email to the corporate headquarters telling them what i thought, you all should too. Not only did they fire him , but they are also challenging his right to collect unemploymnent!

Boycott? I had heard a Kelloggs boycott was rather successful. So screw Walmart tell everybody about this, and ask them to stand up and boycott Walmart with you.

He sounds like the most legit MMJ patient i've ever heard of.
It's time to start callenging BS like this in court in states where they have a legal leg to stand on.

This is one more reason we need a single payer health care system! Walmart keeps most of their employees part- time; so they don't have to provide health care. Who picks up for that ? We do ! Those part-timers get aid from the State and Fed aid programs for POVERTY. We already pay too many hidden costs for Walmarts 'low low prices'.

Fuck Walmart... they will get away with this since they are the largest employer in the World and have more money than most entire nations. Its bullshit. I hate the way we have to live our lives under this corporate rule and gross government intervention. I feel violated everyday when I light up and have to worry about smell on me or how someone will judge me if I look like im hi. I use MJ to treat anxiety and it is by far much better than any phamacuetical i have recieved. I'm not familiar with the specifics of the Michigan law, but many (most?) of the MMJ laws specifically permit employers to drug test & fire people for using it.

Probably something that needs to be dealt with legislatively, or more quickly by shaming the corporations.

Wallmart most likely did this because:
- They can
- They want a single corporate policy on MJ (and evil drugs in general)
- They had the opportunity to get an expensive person off their health insurance plan, which could affect future rates
- They are cold hearted bastards

They need to feel the pain of bad press, concerned investors, and angry consumers. All of that is probably going to be more effective than a legal challenge. I'm sure their HR & lawyers looked at the law carefully before giving this action the OK.

I never shop there and never will. I go to Meijers,a Michigan owned chain.There is no right to work law in Michigan. Any employer could do this, and we have no recourse.
