Hi

for me it's hungry..and abit of pH f**cked up...try add some dolomite lime, wait few days and raise the Biogrow

my humble 2 cents

ahhh and give it away the mineral water...stick to the tap water rested 24h and you be good

cheers and good luck

dunkybones

They look very hungry. Is a 1/4ml per liter what Biobizz recommends for starts? I'd double it and wait to see a change.

yeah I think you guys are right, they might be hungry, lets see their reaction with this new soil.
biobizz recommends for start 1ml/L, but for cuttings, i dunno for seedlings.
For next watering a bit more of biogrow should do the trick

should I cut off this dark spot?

ps: just chucked away the mineral water

cheers

that only works if there is CHLORINE in the water,...if the city water company is using CHLORAMINE, you could wait 800 years, and it's still in there,...only reverse osmosis will remove chloramine.

so CHECK your water, don't guess, most water companies or health depts. offer free water testing, then you can decide what to do from there.

the plants look chlorotic, but the structure, and leaf shape look good, just super pale,........check the PH of the water going in, and the PH of the runoff coming out,...if it's between 6.0 and 7.0, I would add some liquid ferts.

you could also foliar feed ONE, if it darkens up in a day or so, then hit em all with a light foliar feeding, AND an application of liquid fert to the water/soil.

I think they are just hungry, you just have to figure whether it's lock up, or depletion.

My water supplier DOES use chloramine (ammonia in reaction to chlorine, right?) ...
Heard that not even RO removes this shite, what one should do in this case?

just hope it is not a lockup

thanks

only reverse osmosis will remove chloramine.

That is incorrect--
Will reverse osmosis remove chloramines?
No. Salts can be caught by the permeable membranes but chloramines pass through easily.
http://www.norfolk.gov/utilities/quality/Chloramines.asp

Chloramine cannot be removed from water by boiling, distilling or reverse osmosis, which at least helps to narrow your options! Beware of any company trying to sell you one of these as they simply don't work.
http://www.articlesbase.com/health-articles/how-to-remove-chloramine-from-water-952134.html

Practically all of the filters on the market are effective for chloramine removal, from the inexpensive pitchers to the pricey multi-stage models. The only systems that will not remove chloramines are the reverse osmosis types. They do not remove any chemicals, at all. Some of the newer brands, such as GE Smart-water, include reverse osmosis and a granular carbon step. That's effective, but it costs more than you need to pay.

As I said in another Thread....
This is what I use...no probs since I got it--:tiphat:

So, the plants are fine, healthy with very dark green leaves now ;)

I done a few things to try ti recover them, i think everything helped a bit

1) foliar feed with 1ml of biogrow per litre (just once)
2) started filtering the water with a brita filter
3) more biogrow and blackstrap molasses every other watering

cheers

The Blackstrap is great for feeding your Micro-Herd...If you would give them a li'l liquid Kelp...they would love it--
Good job on correcting the problems--:tiphat:
