What's new

Would like some indica suggestions...

Hi, I'm kinda new at posting here and sort of new at growing too. I'm at 2 weeks of flowering of my second grow and still learning of course. Since I'm a student and live in a really small apartment I grow in a DR60 with a 150 W HPS. Therefore it's quite convenient with feminized seeds.

I've been reading and scouring the web for what strain I want to try and grow next, but I would like some help.
Since my two other strains have been pretty sativa influenced I'd like to grow some heavier indicas. And I'd also like to try some really good genetics instead of some cheaper beginners crap.
I've been looking at the kushes, bubble gums and blueberries etc and their crosses but it's really an ocean of shit tbh. There's just no way to tell everything apart.

So what I'm searching for is a really great tasting indica, preferably some kind of fruit/sweetness/candy not just the hashy flavor. I'd like it to lean more towards the stony high but it doesn't really matter how much. Potency doesn't really matter, I'd rather have it taste real good.

Really thankful for suggestions and some discussion, the more information regarding the strain/s the merrier I will be :)

aurora indica from nirvana
pot of gold from the flying dutchmmen
bubbledust from drowdoc

Any of those would be great for you.

Aurora indica has hashy phenos. Strong stony weed.

Blueberry is the way to go but it will take time to get it right. I don't have any clue what the seed quality is nowadays, I've only grown and smoked a 9 year old cut. The best batch came from the dude who originally had it. Others (including mine, grew it once and crossed with lr) were not even close.
More sativa influence than AI.

But best tasting stuff has been california orange bud so maybe californian indica from sensi?

e: Hindu Kush (sensi or nirvana) was nice too if you like spicy. Pleasant stone but was a little slow grower.

I know just the ticket. Feminized and easy to grow

Doubleberry, is a femmed version of sagamartha's bubbleberry which is bubblegum x blueberry and its heaven sent. My favorite. A relaxing yet euphoric high that makes you want to smile. And some of the pheno's are so fruity sweet that you can taste it even after youve smoked. Its wonderful medicine and you'll be hooked. Good yeild

Dinafems Blue Hash is very good. Some fruity couchlock and a good yeild.

Often, blueberry crosses are fruitier than some straight blueberry pheno's. With any blueberry cross, pay attention to the plants with the stout purple stems. Often even seedling stems are purple.

Thanks a lot for everyones input!

Aurora indica seems nice but is it really that connoisseur delicious weed? Maybe I'm too suspicious towards Nirvana genetics.

Don't know anything about Pot of Gold or Bubbledust but especially bubbledust sounded nice at a quick glance. Will look into it thanks johnbobit!

Yeah KingV that's why I've been a bit hesitant towards blueberry, it seems so awesome and even the mediocre blueberry I've tasted was really good. Had I been able to clone and have a mother chamber etc I would have ordered some DJ Short bb variety in an instant :)
I tried some orange bud (according to the one who supplied me) some time ago and I wasn't impressed at all. Have no idea if it even was that or which breeder or anything really.

Hi again DS Toker! Havn't forgot about Bubbleberry at all, but I completely missed that there was a feminized version! I usually browse the breeders different strains on an unofficial site so... Thanks! I guess it's doable with regular for me but feminized really helps so much so I had pushed the bubbleberry towards the future.
I'm gonna try to squeeze 4 smaller pots instead of my 2 current big ones, and at least one of those pots will belong to Doubleberry! :)

Keep your suggestions coming, thanks.

How big pots?

Yes, AI is good. I grew it 3 times. It became boring after a while, wouldn't recommend it as only smoke but I'd happily puff blueberry if I didn't have anything else. Then again, sk#1 is what I smoke for relaxing and it's 50/50 body/head smoke.
Smoked from a bong, AI always made me cough and my phenos were hashy with some fruit in the background. No experience with fem ver.

I'd go with the doubleberry. Can't go wrong with bubblegum or blueberry. Even if it's not your favourite weed... You will enjoy it!

Right now I'm using 11 litre 27 cm in diameter round ones, so they barely fit next to one another in the tent. I've been using LST this time around and the growth is pretty vigorous so it's hard to get light everywhere when you need to have the 150 W so close. But I love it, it's so much fun to poke, bend and help your babies instead of just letting them grow :)
I thought of maybe switching to square 5-6 litre ones to be able to stuff more of them in there so I can try out various strains.

Great that AI worked out for you multiple times but as you say it might become boring if I grow only that. Maybe I already judged it because of its "boring" genetics and that it originates from Nirvana :p That combination just doesn't light a spark for me if you know what I mean?
I've made a note of it anyhow and havn't decided what I should grow besides the bubbleberry so I'm happy for all the input I can get. Thank you!

Edit: Hmm, the only growinformation about Double Bubbleberry I've found on this site isn't very positive... There seems to be many cases of autoflowering, poor germs and hermies for Sagaramatha atm? :( I hope it all works out for them. Anyone else tried growing Double Bubbleberry?

Hello there. Biobizz offers a Aurora Indica * Afgani hybrid with 100 % germination although I believe that they are regular seeds. CH9 offers many female seeds and their mixed female pack is all done in 8 weeks being so Indica dominant. White Label by Sensi seeds also offers many female varieties like Blueberies, Northern Lights #5, Skunk #1 and the obiquitous White Widow. Good luck in your search. Regards.

deepchunk or pinetarkush if you want real deal indica's and you aren't worried about yield and you can find them for sale.

Pot of gold isn't really a knock you out indica it's skunkxhindukush. Some people keep it in there stable because my mom could grow it and the yields are great. It's the "huh what was I doing" type stone

AI is defiantly a awesome plant, there are a buttload of reports on it if you search around. Massive yields of grape flavored(if you find the right pheno) put you in your seat buds.

If money is no object for you check out DONK and BLUBONIC by legends or THE CHRONIC or double dutch.

Goodluck

All the best in your quest / search

I just grew out two fem NL from MOC. One was nearly odorless, and the other has a wonderful candy, juicy fruit chewing gum smell that carries into the draw. Quite a nice pot for certain. Very indica stone. Chick dope for certain (not meant to be derogatory).

Thanks for all of your suggestions and inputs, it's very appreciated. While I'm a beginner I don't consider myself a newbie, don't be afraid to tip of "harder" strains or more expensive ones. I want to upgrade :)

I'm somewhat of a hippie in the sense that I don't want to grow too commercial strains which I've tasted at coffee shops or bought on the street. NL, WW, Skunk X, SSH etc etc. I hope you don't take offence, I appreciate all input I get. But I want to somehow get into the more "growers only" kind of weed if you know what I mean. It's hard to get in the race when you're low on experience, grow space and cash, but gotta start somewhere right?

Thanks everyone, I'm writing it down and going through smoke and grow reports :)

@DocLeaf yeah the bubbledust sounds very nice, it was mentioned earlier and already on the list =) I have searched and gone through thousands of threads here and on other forums and homepages. But just reading won't give you any discussion and by starting my own thread I thought I could get better tips and ask questions if people have grown the strains themselves. There are probably hundreds of strains that could fit into that vague discription. I just wanted to get some discussion going and people promoting their own favourites.

Moho,
My personal advice is to stay away from female seeds, as tempting as they may seem. What I've learned is that if I buy seeds expecting something great and then I GET SOMETHING GREAT, then I always wish that I made MORE SEEDS.
It's tough to do, but heavily seeding your first grow is a wise decision.

Anyways... On my list is Calizahr from Chimera. It's Shiskaberry crossed with California Orange. An anytime kind of smoke. Won't knock you out, or prevent sleep. Great for daytime also.
It's an F1 hybrid, but I plan to make F2 seeds and then seek out the Shiskaberry phenotypes. The orange flavor is a nice addition to the peppery shiskaberry. This is also a rather low odor plant if not disturbed.

Thanks for your advice man! I wholeheartedly agree that to be a true grower you shouldn't just go for female seeds. But my current situation won't allow me to have room for or afford new equipment. Basically it's just a small room with a tiny stove , I have nowhere to put stuff. I look forward to being able to have a lot of different strains growing at the same time, having mothers, make my own crosses etc but it's just not possible atm. Fucking poor student life interfering with my growing dreams

That strain sounds interesting, as does Chimeras Mental Floss :) Thanks for detailed input, very nice. Damn all this reading and thinking is making my mouth water, weed is way too good and growing is too much fun.

Cool to see you are taking such a logical interest in the plants you're ingest  i n i really respect that,, shows dedication / passion,, plus we've all been a hippie once or twice in the past  ,, lol :canabis:

Don't be fooled by the price tag,, GrowDoc's BubbleDust is a medi. seed pack,, for medi. users wallets. The genetics are as homogeneous and reliable as a cross between Bubblegum and Angel Dust could ever get,, GrowDoc is my buddy sure,, but he's also one of the most mindful breeders out there,, in this respect.

picture.php

If it's an indica with flavour (when grown organically),, with a short flowering period,, that leaves the dude that went 3s on a reefer in the car-park for 2hours after you left and got home already effect,, (when grown to full maturity - 70days )... then you can't really grow wrong man

Ideal for medi users,, the male plants usually show at 30days,, regardless of photo period,, and at harvest the flowers are 9/10 top notch .. some the best bubblehash we ever made,, fullmelt clear dome stuff (apparently that's really good?,, we know that it tasted like demera sugar with more than a hint of hash ..lol)

Happy growing...
Hope this helps

P.S I's an GDS Angel Dust fiend also,, the AD (alfa plants) used to turn us on as much as the Bubblegum (Betty (beta) plants) did,,, as shown above... treating em mean but keeping em keen :bandit:

Actually it shouldn't require any new equipment or space. Grow them all in the same area, and use the best one or two males for seed production. The other males will be removed, and also the weaker females as well. I personally would germinate the whole pack for this. Only takes one female and one male to make a whole bunch of precious seeds. Whatever you do, good luck! :tiphat:

I vote for Aurora Indica as well. You really arent going to beat its stone and the seeds are so cheap you wont mind so much when you fuck up.
