Good on yer, RC!

Loved his gear back then! Excellent service from HS. RC brought me my first Mr. Nice WW = LOVE!

I miss both OG & CW. CW is now in the hands of the RCMP, however... Beware, y'all...

Cheers!

This site only started growing (pardon the pun) after OG went down. Half the people were too scared to post again and the other half had no other place to go. Most of the OGers did not like the layout and flow of this site. Comments were made and ignored (Like this hokey tiled marijuana leaf background) This site is reminiscent of the early 80s. The home page gets updated once every 10 years etc.
If OG did ever come back, then goodbye ICmag.

I used to say that, but now that I'm here I don't want to leave. IME, the advice on OG was too difficult to parse because of all of the kids (many who never grew before) dispensing advice as if they were experienced. Here you get awesome advice, there you get the Shark's Tank.

Glad to hear this news. I was just thinking about HS a few days ago, strangely enough. Synchronicity.

Glad he got off lightly.

Let's hope Marc Emery isn't extradited to US.

grats RC

very glad to hear he won't be facing any time. after totally ruining his business they should be happy, without also trying to lock him up. he didn't cause damage to anyone so no crime was committed in any real way.

ps: how reliable is this news?

This is great news indeed. I learned to grow from the info and helpful members on OG. There was so much he said/she said immediately after it went down, and it was intriguing to learn the identity of RC with all the PoM (Plural of Mongoose) drama.

Karma is alive and well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a bad attitude.

Congrats RC. I owe a lot to OG and the friends I made there. I was still posting when it went down. Got paranoid and deleted all my pics, been kicking myself ever since. Been kinda shy since then. Germinating in a few days, maybe I'll post this one.

Very good news indeed. I always respected RC very much. Back in the CW/OG (2000ish) days I had written some software to dump both of those sites in their entirety and wrote a custom browser geared towards helping people find the information they needed but offline. Basically a mimicking of the site in it's entirety, offline, sans ads, etc.. . I probably still have 15 gigs of that data laying around on DVDs.. But what was cool was I had talked to RC about selling it as a DVD for people that wanted the security of being able to view/search the entire website offline for security reasons, or because they wanted to take a laptop into their basement into their grow to troubleshoot (this was before wireless home networks were all that commonplace as well) plant problems on-site, etc.. There were probably 10 other reasons I had for it at the time.. Anyway I brought up how to handle it financially with him and he said he really liked the idea but said to just donate all his profit to NORML. I always thought that was incredibly cool of him.. Anyway, totally stoked to see he's not having to do time.

This is pretty good to hear. I was an OG old timer (different screen name, and I rather wouldn't say seeing as the servers were in the wrong hands for a while)

I've only started to dip my toes in this pool just recently. It gets boring just sitting on the sidelines and watching. Certainly don't think I'll be posting any more pictures though.
