question about lucas formula

Gonna pick up some clones this weekend can't seem to find the page on CW that lucas posted. How much do i start to feed em when there are clones? I'm guessing 1/4 or 1/2 strength does anybody know or have a link to his orignal post.

PEACE

Low intensity lights: 5mL micro/gallon, 10mL bloom per gallon
High intensity lights (including T5s): 8mL micro/gallon, 16mL bloom per gallon

Still looking for help with lucas.... Can i go full strength with clones? I've read the links and stuff but it doesn't say if i can use 8/16for clones. Sorry if i sound like an idiot but i haven't grown for 3 years or so and want to make sure i'm feeding the correct amount.

I have 4 inch RW blocks that sit on RW crutons being sprayed NOT DRIPPED. I guess i can always use the GENHYDRO calculator but i have read people having great results with the lucas formula thought i would see how it works.

Thanks painroad

The 5:10 and 8:16 ratios are not designed for different stages of growth, but rather for the intensity of light being used. If you're vegging with CFLs, go with 5:10 and then switch to 8:16 if you're flowering under a 1kW, for instance. Otherwise, if the entire grow is CFLs, go with 5:10 the whole plant cycle.

There really is no precise answer here. It depends on the size of the clones, genetics, etc. Start with 1/4 - 1/2 and see how the clones respond. Making sure pH is correct and does not fluctuate, and not overwatering or underwatering, etc, plays a more important role than ppm measurement.

I basically do the same as l/b .BTW search threads by lucas.
I'mnot sur of yor set up but you may want to search rez dawgs recipe
30 x5 =150 ml=30 tsb
30 x10 =300 ml=60 tsb
at 0/5/10 for 30 gallons
Not all strains like 0/8/16 my brainstorm goes 0/5/ 10 all the way so keep an eye for signs of nute burn to dial in your strain

Don't worry about the formula for clones. Straight water first week or so, then real mild nutes for a week, then strenghten. My first clone nutes, I take a pint of spring water, dip my finger in my grow nutes bottle, then into the water and shake it up. I just want a little color in it, to start then feeding and roots growing. This works for me.

I ended up using the 3 part mild seedling strength from GH website which came out to be 400pm i had a delay and just got them going today. The ppm already dropped to 360 after first feeding. I'm gonna change to 8/16 after they get about 10" or so.

My Feeding schedule is every 4 hrs for 5 mins, I'm running 4" RW on top of the RW crutons. It's been 3 or more years since i have done some indoor so wish me luck!!! Also my PH started at 5.6 and after first feed is now 5.75.

I'm guessing when they eat some nutes the ph will drift a little bit. Back in the day when growing indoors never had access to a great site like this so anybody with suggestions feel free to chim in. I grow outdoors for the most part, so i'm probly a little rusty and could use some advice. Can't wait to see how these girls are gonna do, oh Hindu Skunk and Train Wreck are the strains.

5/10 is for vegging. 8/16 is for flowering. when small go 1/4-1/2 strength w take hold bump to full strength.

I flipped today so will be doing a rez change tonight. In the future when adding back water do i PH water before or after adding to my rez?

0/5/10 is for low intensity lights during vegging, 0/8/16 can be used in veg as well if you're running your full strength lighting. I used 0/5/10 during veg, but it would of saved me the hassle of a res change if I just started at 0/8/16. My plants did fine running both ratios during veg.
