found this 400w lamp , is it good for growing?

it looks like some kind of hps \mh + has its own ballast but its written halogen on the lable...
any one knows what is it and if its good for growing ?

My guess would be halogen. An MH ballast's code starts with an M, an HPS with an S. Halogens aren't suited to growing.

i am not sure its a halogen cuz halogen lamps dont look like this usually + this thing has a ballast and its heavy as hell (hps like ) wating for confirmation

Those lights go for about 10 dollars at home depot or lowes and are designed for use in lighting up construction sites.
