Double Vertical 6k, Closed System With Asian Kush, Urkulan and Sweet Pink Grapefruit

whew! sorry about not posting in a while, trimming has been taking forever! the urkulan and sweet pink grapefruit side yielded a tad over 5 1/2 lb's. its ok, but it needed more plants to fill gaps, kinda hating that i didnt get 2 a light, my fault.
the asian kush was cut down close to 9 days ago, still drying. lots and lots of bud, was a real pain to trim.....
some done harvest pics soon, waiting for the kush to dry.....
Hey dude! having troble posting, 4th try now for this one!!! I have 6, 400 watts.6 foot celing9x5 roomI was thinking the black 3 foot x 6 inches roockwool slab holders to use as the trays. please helpp!!How far should i keep the lights from the wall? bare bulb, a/c with heat at night also, room with constant 465 cfm exhausting, with neg pressure room & 4" intake from outside. I am going coco for the first time, how often to water? once a day for new guy's but how much on a 3 month turn around altogether. 3-4 week vedge. where to go? Thanks to all.

Incredible... What are your nutrient specs? PH, PPM, mm/per gal?
yo man just went over this grow again as I do with all of yours, and I was wondering if you wouldn't get a better gpw with 2k watts instead.
to me it seems that the bottom 1k hps isn't illuminating much and may be impeding your gpw, but still probably increasing yield a good bit.
Just a thought, since its only 2 rows I figure a 1k has a sweet spot of ~3-4 feet so provided your room is 8' tall, 3k doesnt seem as efficient for me.

How about hanging a trellis net on the ceiling? Run the plants inside the net and keep them off the lights and fans. Long J bolts should work.COhomegrown - no trays, 8" by 9" by 12" shelves. they like to stretch. flowered at about 18", some plants are almost 5' tall.

Flow - they are just blue drippers from the hydro store, no set gph, they just spray away! i dont rotate the plants, i pull all the branches forward, toward the light. i have another room i veg in.
little update - everything is doing good. rearranged the urkulan and sweet pink grapefruit when i put up the scrog net. i should of put more of those into flowering, i now see that i have gaps in the canopy.
the asian kush is really starting to bulk up, everything is falling over towards the light. the room is becoming a nightmare! absolutely stinks of kush! the kush will yield very nicely!

4 tier octagon,2600 watts each one..........working two of them at once would be a bummer huh?..........OUCH! The lights are HOT and there isn't much space between you and the light when working. Each bed section of octagon is 4 feet long,8 inches deep,8 inches wide,for a total of 16 beds per octagon.(32 beds total) 2 full octagons are a HANDFULL because you have to tie down the plants to the surface of each bed.....this translates into a lot of bed space...do the math on surface area. Harvest was 6 plus pounds,could have got 10 easy,but couldn't fill up all the beds fast enough in the time I had to do it. Also the PK(Pure Kush) was a bad choice for this setup. You want a short,high yielder in these things. The PK stretched like crazy. Just sharing it here for you folks to check out. I'm not doing another one with this vertical set up. It's just to much to deal with IMO.

and no, pure kush was not a bad choice for this setup. i dont now 1 kat who comes close to 7 1/2 lb's off of 3k when running kush. most people are lucky to yield 1 lb per 1k with the pure.
the indica dominate side of this grow yielded less then the pure, so blow it out your ass.........

But as productive as they are, I think you missed your true calling: Stand-up comedy. Love the way you dismiss "hecklers."

You got 5 awesome threads chock full of instructions and pictures of success. With all of that people want to come here and tell you how to do it! I love the internet. For those about to post think of it like this. Krunch is a teacher giving a lesson and it's OK to ask questions in fact that is what you should be doing. You don't go to your teacher in school and say listen here I disregard your experience and education and insert myself as the teacher from this point forward. If you did that is a shame because education is the key to success in everything on the planet. So I would appreciate a little more Krunch and a lot less Trolls please. As you were saying Krunch....

I am trying to convince the old fart aka Grampa Watt to give this style a try, but he needs alot of encouragement b4 he tries new things.
