Ashburn represents the CA 18th District (wiki link illustrates demographics). A look at the 18th is kind of illuminating, for those of us who are not too familiar with the area.

Could it be that Ashburn was set up by some of his own people, who knew what he was doing on weekends and wanted him out of the way. If he was going to gay clubs, then a lot of people knew about him.

For the offended....please recognize those of us who don't understand all our insensitivity fully recognize one of the greatest of all human foibles, hypocrisy.

The sociopolitical hypocrite typically rails against segment(s) of society. Since homosexuality is the arguably the biggest demon of sociopolitical hypocrites, please recognize the human tendency to call these crits out as they are, closet homosexuals.

I like Freeman's posts for the objective take. Life's too worthy to leave sensitivity at the door but too short to check every insensitivity for the sake of humor. Pretty soon, we're too afraid to laugh at ourselves over the probability offending another. It's only this reason I'm not having fun atm with epitaphs.

Yeah only repubs are gay......oops forgot BAWNEY FWANK. Now theres a real role model for ya! You're right, the hypocrisy never ends.

Frankly, (pun intended) I don't see any hypocrisy in the gay or lesbian lifestyle, closeted or declared. I do see the occasional slight even though hypocrisy isn't in Frank's equation. The only way Frank could be connected to hypocrisy is if he was indeed a hypocrite.

Can't hide behind the word hypocrisy if it doesn't apply. I guess the only thing left to diss non-hypocritical gays is lifestyle.

DB gracefully framed my line of thought.

I lived overseas my whole life. I was always sent to an international schools vs the overseas American Schools. We are just people of this crazy ass world and should be proud of who we are.

There is a lack of judgment overseas and I think that is commentary on why we Americans are in the situation we are in. We are so divisive and filled with hate that we can't laugh at ourselves and be proud of what we've accomplished in our lives.

Sometimes I feel we are always judging ourselves through society's eye's and not really just accepting that we are just humans.

Laugh at yourself. Your a piece of space dust. :biglaugh:

I could give two shits if women find love with another woman, or a man finds love with another man, in the long run it truly does not effect me whatsoever.

that being said, feyd, lighten up a little. i understand youre gay, but you also have to understand that, although it may be 'politically incorrect', when people use homosexual slurs (aks youre so gay, thats really gay dude) it is not NEARLY meant in the same way you take it to mean. 98% of the time, at least if you are under 30, 'gay' is pretty much a synonym for 'lame, loser, etc'

not saying i agree with the usage of the wordage, but its there and not going to change. also, not to be an ass, but if you are truly comfortable in your own skin, does it really matter what others may 'say' about 'you people' (joke). surely at this point if you are living an openly gay lifestyle your skin is thick enough to deal with people occasionally using politically incorrect terms.

personally, i think that the homosexual movement is not even beginning. we have so much farther to go with the racial issues in this country that most homosexual 'issues' are thrown to the side, simply because of the numbers.

all that being said, i still find this article hilarious. just like i find amusement when catholic priests are charged/convicted with sexual crimes. the level of hypocrisy is truly mind blowing.

thats pretty lame he can dance to the village people in his own privacy but try to ban others doin it.

all thinds aside gay people are cool, its always nice to have a gay friend, they always got the inside scoop.
im not gay..i love the :cathug:

it would have been alot better if they found dildos....dildos make anything 110x more funny

I can't stand politcally correct bullshit. Gays call each other cockersucker, pole smoker all the time. They are more in your face and non politically correct jokes than most straights.

Politically correctness gives someone who has no idea what they are talking about some kind of perceived moral high ground IMO.

Like they really know what's is in everyone's best interest to say and do. Puuuuh-lease.

i frickin love this guy, i almost dropped my laptop reading this lol

how does saying ALL politicians are gay and senate room orgy just involve republicans...?

the hipocrisy is that repubs are ACTIVE ANTI GAY RIGHTS and the ones that draft them kinds of bills are usually the same ones involved in these scandles... read my post little more carefully before you think im a dem lover or that i said anything about ONLY repubs being gay...

you read my post and competely mistruded everything i said... just like a repub though.. good job....
I am about as right winged as you are straight. I am not the person that fits into the typical stereotype,I am my own person and do not identify with ANY group of sheep-minded followers. Before you throw down the gauntlet, you should really know what you are talking about.:tiphat:

Would it make you feel better if I told you my son is gay? Like I said,I don't fit in anywhere. I have my own mind and can use it. Yes,I do watch Fox news. I also watch MSNBC and see the bias there. You think Mr. Prez is gonna do anything for gay rights?Who did I quote besides you? Yeah I am so right wing that I voted for Medical MJ in my state and am a pt myself.Everybody does not fit into a box with a desciption next to it. Not even you.

This is so backwards.
So, fucking, backwards.

that being said, feyd, lighten up a little.
It is borderline disgusting that "lighten up buddy" is an acceptable response for some people when they are told that what they just said to someone is ridiculously offensive.

Oh, lighten up you say? Hold on, initiating lightening, phase one.

As soon as I figure out how to magically wipe my slate o' virtues 'n' values clean, I'll get back to you.

When someone says "lighten up", what they are implying is that I shouldn't take as much offense as I do (or any at all, really), or that I should really just agree with that person, for no reason other than they find it totally a-okay to say what they said to any audience.

When your audience is unknown, hold your tongue. It is called respect and decency.

Imagine you are black. If you already are, imagine that you're still black.

Let's make up a scenario. you're walking home carrying some groceries and a slightly buzzed white man sees you scaling the steps to the door of your building, which he is standing adjacent to. he opens the door and moves. as you smile and nod, or say, thanks man, he scoots animatedly to his left and says, "Didn't wanna 'scuff your kicks, dawg!'"

Now, clearly, this doesn't directly imply any sort of racism, but if any of us operate above the neck on a highschool level, we understand this is a reference to the man's race, implying that black men are touchy about footwear and take offense to having their sneakers touched, which is sort of racist, in the sense that the man with groceries is being stereotyped, but perhaps not being prosecuted or prejudiced against.

That would probably offend me if I were black, and I would probably have a lot MORE to say if someone told me to simply "lighten up", as if I should brush it off.

Why won't I brush it off? Because I am not going to spend my life brushing these things away. You have to understand that you are NOT the only person that says these things. you do not have a predestined life that has you on a collision course with a homosexual stranger, who will hear his first offensive remark come out of your mouth, and you'll tell him to lighten up, teaching him a valuable life lesson about patience and tolerance.

Do you understand how stupid it is to tell me to lighten up?
I will NOT lighten up. I will say fuck you each time, because each time you offend me, and I have done nothing to you to deserve to be treated like a second class human being. I have done NOTHING.

So stop insulting me.

Is that difficult? It shouldn't be. Just because you get a good laugh out of it doesn't make it okay.

i understand youre gay,
okay.

but you also have to understand that, although it may be 'politically incorrect', when people use homosexual slurs (aks youre so gay, thats really gay dude) it is not NEARLY meant in the same way you take it to mean. 98% of the time, at least if you are under 30, 'gay' is pretty much a synonym for 'lame, loser, etc'
Why did you put politically incorrect in quotations, in an attempt to discount the relevance of the phrase? Political correctness is just being polite. It means that you are not impolite. I am amazed that this is a difficult concept for so many people to grasp.

98% of the time, at least if you are under 30, 'gay' is pretty much a synonym for 'lame, loser, etc'
First of all, don't just start pulling statistics out of your ass. This is totally irrelevant and is going to be discarded as jibberish.

Besides, you didn't even make a good point to further your argument that it should be acceptable to everyone to have a stab at someone's identity.

If your stupid statistic were true, and 98% of the time that anyone uses the word gay casually or colloquially they mean it to indicate anything negative or undesirable, that is appalling that that is an acceptable figure to you. 98% of you are that immature? I would hope by 14-16 the current fresh generation of upwardly mobile youngsters would find something else to say.

Also, why are you only including the teenage vocabulary example?
Do you think that saying cocksucker as an insult is okay?
Do you know why it's insulting?
Because it's implied as an insult.
Do you know why it's implied as an insult?
The person saying it is using it to imply that sucking cock is a negative experience that degrades the person sucking aforementioned cock and lowers the amount of respect that person should be allotted from his peers in and above his station.

Do you want to know something? I love dicks. I love the thick, long veiny bastards. I love them. I love the way a fork fresh out of the dishwasher tastes vaguely of metallic semen. I like the way little girly boy's body quiver when you go down on them. It's cute.

To you, obviously, this is probably disgusting, just as the idea of licking a dog's asshole disgusts me.

You can't wrap your head around the idea of sucking dick as being positive and enriching one's life.

Surely, if one sucks cock, that person is below you.
You use the word cocksucker to insult and degrade a person.

Only when confronted do you say, lighten up, it's just a joke. Really? because it's actually not a joke.

It's an insult. and it's insulting.

I'm not really sure how to really explain this in any simpler of terms: you are insulting me, and I am asking you to stop. It offends me, and I really don't like being the indirect butt of so, so many jokes.

So just stop, okay?

Just stop.

Stop justifying your behavior. It hurts my feelings, makes me angry, frustrated, upset, and ultimately, depressed.

Clearly, not this thread, but you understand what I'm saying.

And if you don't, you're probably autistic.

Speaking of retards...
(just kidding. In all seriousness, please stop with the gay slurs.)
