BC Chronic - yes the buds are great for a little light. MMG has pretty dense nugs and these are no exception

MeanBean - i can only get at my plants every couple of days so i need a big enough pot to only water every 2-3 days. i swear you would be shocked if you knew how little tile i get to spend with my plants!.
as for feeding, apart for what was in the soil mix, this plant has had nothing but water except for, in total, about a teaspoonfull of molasses.

#1cheesebuds - thanks for all your support and enthusiasm :) nearly done now.

one Q - thanks - did you look carefully at the tape measure? ;)

Zombo - i think you will be pleased with it. remember that they dont give out any heat so if it is cold you need to do something about it - if you live in a hot area then these lights are going to be very handy :)

yesum - lol - yep i put up the mylar about a week into the grow. only the pics in the first post show it without the mylar as i was waiting for it to arrive ;)

your soil makes me think because you can keep the plant without giving them ferts for the whole flowering cycle, but yet.. when first transplanted they don't get burned!

anyways, beautiful plant!

hi vg,how are you? i was looking thru your other thread, and saw you have had great success with dna genetics, just curious if you had ever run their rocklock? i am a sufferer of some pretty harsh back spasms,a friend mentioned it was super couch lock stuff( not my every day fav,but what i need during spasms) just curious if you had ever grown it, i see dna out of stock alot recently..i think you have inspired ppl to get their gear! mabye they are having trouble keeping up with new demands

superpedro - thanks mate :)

hi apollonio, yes - its harder to burn plants with organic ferts but it can still be done :) remember also my pots are BIG. this plant is in a 3+ gallon container which is the biggest i could fit in there. more soil=more food.

one Q - thought you would like that :D

yosun - yeah tbh i have never bought any DNA seeds! - my MMG and sharksbreath cuts came from a friend who had grown out a few packs of their early gear. definitely good smoke but i still hope to find better.
if you want a good muscle/pain strain the SB is great for that but its very Great white shark dominant so you may consider getting that from greenhouse. the two cuts i have are the only DNA strains ive tested.

MeanBean - yeah it takes a while lol - i have plenty to smoke in the meantime though so i can wait till it's properly ready. ;)

ScrubNinja - yes mate i'm very glad that this grow is pretty much in the bag now - i was hoping for a smooth ride for my first LED grow and apart from temps being a bit too low which may have slowed things down and cost a little yield its been ok.

may chop tomorrow, may not. we'll see what the microscope says :)

Wow just read through this whole thread VG...nice work mate ,very impressed...Got a few mates who are Micro-Growers who will be very interested in your results(been looking at LEDS as supp lights in my bloom spaces myself so been very useful)....Just to back you up the MMG is only an average yeilder in my experience and is ridiculously dark green even on weak nutes or Soilmix. You have Smashed it in my humble opinion...F--kin' Marvelous!...lol! JBo ;]

indeed it's harder, but i've done it a few times... when using a lot of warm castings in the mix! i forgot to take into consideration that you use vegged clones too, wich can handle richer soils, duh! :whistling:

it's been a great ride, looking foward to the harvest!

Lond! - thanks for stopping by mate - thanks for the confirmation of the dark green - now the plant is starting to senesce its going straight from the dark green to yellow/brown with no light green which is strange... p.s. im getting a 205 watt LED unit from hydro grow to test out in my 250 cab soon!. the low temps of led's should really help here in summer in the UK - where most of us dont have any A/C

apollonio - yeah, wormcastings can vary greatly and im heard of them burning plants before.
also remember this is just 1 plant. thw two NL's in the first post got swapped for a ready vegged up MMG

---

in other news i checked the trics today and they are still 50/50 clear/milky so it need a little longer. i may chop on thursday but that may still be too soon and after that i wont get another opportunity till a week today - when it will probably be just right ;)

If wormcastings hurt mj seedlings, they may not be properly processed by worms. I feed my worms fermented trash with a pH of 3.5 or so. If I were to harvest early i could burn the shit out of a lot of shit.

The finished stuff however, is made for seedlings. Worms keep seeds viable when they eat them, and give them some handy slime. Volunteer seeds from fruit thrown in the bin always sprout vigorously and are never burned.

interesting mad - my friend has just given me his worm bin. how do you know when the stuff is properly finished?

worm castings is a very broad term - ive heard of people burning stuff before in it...

just waiting to harvest the plant now - its starting to look a bit more ugly now which is good - i'll get some photos before harvest which will probably be tuesday...

Hey V,

worm castings are finished when you don't see anymore food, except for some of the more durable things you will have to send through multiple times. There are a few methods for harvesting in a non-flowthru bin. sorting, trapping, feeding just one side of the bin so they move over, etc...

but for now just work on building a good base of castings.

Good EWC is spongy and fluffy, not mucky or dry.

The UK is famous for bokashi bins. You may want to look into that. Some municipalities out there provide them for free I hear. After fermentation, all the no-no food items are ok to feed, like aliums, curries, and oily cooked foods. Also, feeding bokashi makes it run twice as fast.

With you vegetarian diet, it's going to take off anyway.

I don't know about burning stuff, but I am adding charcoal.

Hey VerdantGreen, about the strain's dark green leaves, I run KC36 and it does the same thing. The leaves never turn light green. If I starve it of N, the lower leaves fade to yellow from dark green.

I guess it's in the genes, no light green.

hey mad - thanks for the lowdown on EWC! cant wait to get started with homemade stuff. :)

Sam the Caveman - yes its a strange one - even now its finishing the leaves are going straight from dark green to yellow pretty much.

hi LEDGirl :) plant looks like this. 11 weeks tomorrow and pretty much ready. leaves are looking reasonably ugly. pretty certain i will chop this on tuesday which is the first chance i will get. my mum is staying atm and its gonna stink the house up - these organically grown plants stink even more than usual!

Jesus VG, I wish you were my neighbor. I could dedicate all my time to just making ferts for you. What would be the point in growing myself?
