I'm so paranoid about not having my 250w close enough to my plants. Your grow is tripping me the fuck out. Could you please explain why you keep your light so far? Is heat the issue? It looks like you could easily be venting the heat away from the bulb with a fan on top of the hood, right?

the Kush are taking off, i added Bloombastic to the mix and these things are shiny!
The PBGs in the tub are also starting to fill out, taking a little longer than the kush though, probably because smaller pots?

its 80 a bottle but i was reccommended this by a fellow grower who said it really helps the shine. so far NO complaints! my plants show absolutely no signs of any nute deficiencies and the kush are blingin!.

yessssir...i wish i could let these kush run another week but im gonna start chopping soon. i wanna nip these buds before the PM comes back..
i started flowering on jan 5th for the kush, so i think its about time to chop, im also starting to see a little PM so i guess the organic fungicide was crap. on the next grow im giving them double baths in veg instead of 1. im also gonna use a diff fungicide and try and install a HEPA filter some where...FUCK PM god damn bay area air...
Yea i should probably lower the 150, theres no heat issues but i have a supplementary 150 CFL thats adding light on them too. i have small AIRKING fans set up around the cab for ventilation, but yeah in the future definately gonna try and set up an enclosed system that filters all incoming air.

i have some shit for you to use to kill the powder mildew. one time use, its gone. but you have to use in veg or early flowering. im sure there is something you can use to get rid of it now, hit up growers choice...
yea ive controlled it with this organic shit but its weak because i hit them in veg and it came back. so im gonna chop them all before they come back again, i dont wanna risk getting these moldy. the trics already look pretty developed, it would be nice to wait another week but i think these are ready to come down. Im gonna give them a 2 day flush then they are coming down...

i made a bunch of mistakes this go around (like not pruning, topping, etc) had way too many popcorn buds which diminished total weight. also PM hit so i had to chop a week early. the quality is still very good and has a blinging sparkle and super strong lemon smell. once i clear out these kush i will be popping something new and updating. il have dried bud pics pretty soon along with total weight in abuot a week. then another week where i will have to disinfect and spray the whole closet, then sprout some Sour x Bubble.

hey that bloombastic works great! have you ever thought about doing a scrog? I had similar results with my 150 watter and a few CFL's and an ebb an flow and i know i could have increased yeilds with a scrog.. peace

^yea definately looking into scrog next run. this run was totally disorganized kinda just threw them in the closet and turned them to 12/12. next go around im only gonna run 4-5 plants and spend more time trimming and pruning them to have the best bud sites...i yeiled way too many popcorn lower branch nuggets this run...

What would really would help this is if you lowered your light. I just read through your thread & I think 5 different folks mentioned it. I'm not trying to be an ass - heck, it looks like you're growing nicer smoke than me. But it's pretty much agreed that keeping the lights as close as you can while still illuminating the entire canopy is making the most of the light energy you're paying for. Here's a diagram that shows the relationship between distance and lumens available to plants. I'm not sure who CaliGrower is or where this came from, I just googled "lumens + distance" and found this.
I thoguht my 150 was pretty close to the tops but yeah very far from the lower nugs. these kush just streched really long so the bottom nugs barely got any light.

yeah, once they do stretch it's either lst or supercrop the tall branches in order to get a flat low canopy again or else live with only the tops producing much. Keeping the light low early on is one of the variables that helps minimize stretch in the first place. Of course every strain is different, I'm sure there are some that will stretch like mad regardless, but for any given strain, keeping the light closer will keep the plants shorter and bushier. Move the light away and the plant stretches toward it.

first time in the same closet was 24 GDPS which yeiled much larger colas. also these plants were not taller than 1-2 feet, so i had 24 nice small plants that each yeiled about an 8th-1/4th.
But with these kush i only ran seven, and they basically only flowered a single top cola nug which weighs abuot two grams, and then maybe another 2-3 grams in smaller pop corn nugs...
so next run i absolutely MUST make sure SCROG and get rid of them lower small nugs.

just finishing trimming up the kush, half is dried half is still wet. this shit looks BOMB..frost is fully developed and it looks like platinum OG you find in the club.
total weight will be a little over 2 ounces...kinda dissapointed in yeild but the quality makes up for it..il post dry bud shots in a few days..
