I'm a nursery stock grower and have 3 greenhouses which often actually make me some money.

Not often but hope springs eternal in the heart of a fool, eh?

LOL

Peace

Haha! Cool! Perhaps i could come work for you some time.. :) I Don't think EU and US markets are the same, could imagine the EU markets are a bit more difficult to work in.. (if you understand..)

I'm on a Search and Rescue Helicopter team.
Hate being so much on call.
It's a cool job, though.
You know, the stuff you do really matters (saves lifes) instead of 'pushing paper' or selling superfluous gadgets to the geek and nerd herd.
And there're very few things you can compare to the rush when boarding a sinking ship from a helicopter in a storm.

Man, i was worried there for a minute. Glad to see some more real jobs and not just tons of unemployeed/grower stuff. I wrongly tend to stereotype growers and pot heads as the uneducated blue collar, lazy live in mom's basement types, although being a grower myself i'm completely the polar opposite of that cliche, so it's interesting to see what everyone does.

I am a HUC for a major regional hospital, in the ER to be more specific.

Grew up in Indiana (it sucks) about an hour southeast of Chicago, started smoking when I was fourteen, got sent to military school (not with that Finkelstein shit kid), graduated, worked on an oil rig in Oklahoma for one year while living in Houston with my buddy (it was too cold to ride my motorcycle in Indiana in the winter), six years in the Marine Corps (honorably discharged infantry Sgt), four years of college in Florida, BS in Aeronautical Engineering (Summa Cum Laude), obtained a commercial pilot license (w/Inst, ME), got a CDL and drove an eighteen wheeler for about one year (always thought it would be fun and adventurous, it's not, don't let anyone tell you they make good money doing that), got my girlfriend pregnant in the back of the Freightliner, OK, now its time to settle down and use the degree, somehow ended up in the car business as a finance manager and sales manager, worked sixteen hour days in Florida and SoCal for the next ten years with split days off, made a shitload of money (solid six figures) and spent it as fast as I could make it, finally got completely burned out (car business pressure and hours and SoCal traffic will do that), wanted something more for my kids and myself, cashed in on that SoCal home equity (good timing), left the rat-race for beautiful northwest Montana. Six years later and here I am working thirty to forty hours a week working as an independent contractor for several smaller oil companies doing research on synthetic lubricants with aerospace applications. This place is so crime-free that you can leave your car running in the parking lot of the grocery store in the winter. I don't think we have any Wal-Mart/Home Depot thieves selling on ebay around here either. If you met me you would never believe that I've been growing and smoking on and off for most of my life (sometimes people guess that I'm an off-duty cop). It sure is nice now that I'm legal and the Atty Gen isn't targeting med growers, thus the freedom to be here in ICMag.

mental health and conflict resolution. wears me out though, and more jaded than ever before. Id like to have money thrown at me like those that do menial jobs for the govt. I have friends that work for bc hydro, etc, and learning how much they make, working for the enemy...bloodcurdling. All 2 off the top of my head, people that told me how much they made from the government began their statement with, "too much". FUNNY that.
