Seems to me that the Federal government knows it won't be changing the opinions of those who support medicinal and/or recreational cannabis use through any sort of propaganda, but can minimize how many people get exposed to Pro-Cannabis opinion. They are trying to reduce the impact we are having on society over this issue and is nothing more than an underhanded ploy to shut down the voices that are damaging their credibility.

Freedom in its fullest sense has left these shores many years ago and it seems to be a continuing downward spiral.

I have been a long standing member of eBay since 2000 and I do not agree with a lot of their tactics but have tolerated them but this is too much. I am boycotting them as of now.

Paypal should have been boycotted years ago. They have a habit of not releasing funds to seed sellers and other things they deem socially unacceptable. Check out paypalsucks.com - an interesting site that maps their BS.

I'm disgusted beyond words. Scary stuff.

I've sold on ebay before and have seen items disappear. I don't doubt that there is a ban on high times and it'll probably take 2-3 days for ebay to remove newly listed items. It's not instantly removed by ebay as soon as it's listed it takes a couple of days.

If you notice, none of the high time mags were ending anytime soon while the other searches all have listings ending right now.

edit: no I wouldn't boycott ebay. I would probably boycott paypal.

I don't think boycotting ebay would be the right thing to do. They are being pressured by the government.

Of course, I think this flies in the face of any notion of free market.

And it continues. This is not a Presidential issue. This is the what a large Corporate Federal Bureaucracy looks like when you piss it off.

And we are about to make it really, really mad. The end of a war is often the most violent part.

What I think is even funnier is that just acouple weeks ago I came across an add on ebay selling seeds as....fish bait, hmmm
glad they got those pesky magazines though. Wow things are getting fucking ridiculous, how uptight can people be......I guess at the rate we are going we may just find out one day.

They're a private company, they can sell whatever they want that isn't illegal. What's the government gonna do? Lock them all up for selling a magazine? There was no "pressure" from them. They just said jump and ebay said how high. no pun intended

so for those who stand against the discrimination of the cannabis culture, I think it very much warrants a boycott.

How this is so rediculous, what's up with all the banning, boycotting, and hatred. If pol don't want marijuana in their lives great, more for you and me. Sometimes I think some you guys need a life outside of smoking herb. AK101

You don't get it. It's not about hatred, it's about taking action and raising our profile, and not letting us be led into prisons by the hundreds of thousands.

You obviously haven't had to face a pot rap and had your home and possessions confiscated, your family broken up, and spent years behind bars as Eddy Lepp is doing right now.

None of this is necessary or fair. In fact it is a crime against humanity on a huge scale.

We've been marginalized for too long. There are MILLIONS of us and we don't need to put up with being treated like felons anymore.

It's time to take the power we have, the power of consumers and punish those corporate interests that are hostile to our community.

It is the only power we have left as corporations control our government.

So we by-pass our gov't and deal with the corporations and cities and Police agencies directly. We can hit them where it hurts, economically.

We have more leverage now due to the downturn in the economy to pressure any entity that seeks to marginalize and lock us up.

We're not gonna take it anymore!

Got it now?

Err

Random thought on this... Ebay isnt just in America. Ebay is national. You can buy off ebay; in japan. So how can the government do this? Shouldnt this be a nationally agreed upon thing? Oh wait.. the gov doesnt care and thinks they run the world anyway... so it doesnt matter how it SHOULD happen...

I live in a world were in most places for bizzare and irrational reasons cannabis is illegal. If I tried to boycott every business that had a policy of not promoting illegal drug use, life would become very uncomfortable and very boring very quickly.

Yeah - Let's not make the tough decisions that could lead to getting our lives back from our corporate government.

This is the #1 problem people, #1.
Entitlementism & comfort for ourselves -vs- doing the right thing only because it's the right thing to do.
Many won't even give our kids & grand kids a chance to experience real freedom, the way it was written in our constitution. Listen up people, those of you that think this way (I hope that would be not many here at icmag) when the dogs of government start to impose their will against you and what's important to you, I can only imagine what those things could be for your kind, (leather seats, enquirer magazine, reality t.v.), don't come crying to the same people you snub your nose at for protection.

If some you of you haven't been paying attention latly, the day of choosing sides is here. Look around the world people, this isn't just going to be the citizens of America -vs- our government, this is going to be the haves -vs- the have nots across the world. The world is lit to pop, not just our country, the likes of which have never been seen. Think I'm nuts? Say it while you can, before going to sites like this become illegal & impossible.
I'd like nothing more than to be able to come back to this site in 10 years & eat my proverbial hat, but in all honesty feel it wont be possible.

I consider myself lucky and bummed. Last week I received HT #5 through 15 from ebay. Glad I didn't wait but there were a few more I wanted.

As of an hour ago there were any number of back issues of HT up for sale.

The original story sounds like a canard.

YMMV

Since ebay is based in the USA and pays US taxes I'm not surprized the gov't has tried to control them. But the move was blatantly unconstutional. Fucking people (usuallly lawyers) circumventing the law/system to promote their personal agendas. No wonder the rest of the world hates us. We have honorable, good, high ideals. But don't live up to them. Money buys ANYTHING. Look what Bill Gates and MS did. They knew they were breaking anti-trust laws. But they figured, "So what? We get the money anyway." Look what Bush and his fucking lawyers did. They set up Guantanamo outside US borders so figured they wouldn't have to meet the rigors of US law. Crazy. The problem there is AMERICANS still had to run the place. DUH! That's still just an unamerican action. No matter where. So is this crap.

The recent Supreme Court ruling allowing unlimited amounts of money to be spent by corporations on political candidates who will promote their agendas will result in futher corporate take-over of this country. The most popular movie of all time (Avatar) warns about corporate greed. That is what the movie is all about. Everybody sees the evil. Let's stop it now before it gets more out of hand.

BOYCOTT any large corporations that succomb to shit like this. Take back our country by not voting for any incumbant in any election. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
