As you can see I try to back up my talk, how about you? Show us why we should spend the extra money and why....

Back up your talk with talk... Nice. The argument isnt why you should spend the extra money.

no one is prying your light bulb out of your hand. Assuming your holding one, you don't have a single pic to prove shit...

tokenaPhaty420: just chill, your going to see some great results soon.

The problem I see with all these PRO-LED people.. is they never want to provide any sort of proof or evidence of anything.. they just talk and talk and talk... I mean its just silly.

Show a friggin decent nug shot already.. we've all been waiting.

LED seems to produce decent buds in a few grows for guys who really know what their doing. But getting 2+ lbs to a single light comparable to a 1000w hps is just hopes and dreams for the led people.

Here's the thing...LED can slightly out produce HPS watt for watt...it was shown when the first UFO's came out and the LED's coming out now aren't any better. If you look around, the grows being showed off have yet to have anyone produce anymore then .9grs/watt. If that's the case why would anyone using a 600w or 1000w HPS go out and buy 5 or 8 panels to get the same harvest. Do you know it takes 6 panels to cover 16 sq ft. ?
That's 756w of LED to get the same coverage from a 600w HID? The good news...if your any good you should harvest about 5 oz more...the bad news...it cost about $3000 more in lighting and more hydro to do it...I won't even get into the extra work of lifting 6 panels...LOL

STFU dude, you see my sig? I don't owe you anything! I did that my 2nd grow ever so chill, more to come. Not allot of time for us PRO-LED people to really master the unit but it is comming.

So if you want to cry the whole way thier by all means do it!

:biggrin:Lets all be civil here please!We are all making some valid points and everyone has the same goal in the end...To produce to quality medical grade buds at the lowest price possible. I have got my 400w hps to produce a gpw and thats no bullshit. I already spoke with and did some comparisons vs my 400w hps against 2 of there 126w led units . With that in mind i would get a max yield of 250-300g's using 252w... But i get 400g's with my 400w hps/mh setup .. Doesnt even compare people:smokeit:

My setup with pics to back my shit up =)

Another fine example of BS. I have tested both the ufo stlye and HGL, completely different results.

Oh it's not that they can't show proof...I mean look around it's all over...but the problem is it's laughable because no one and I mean no one can show any proof of the claims made... I can show you the best LED grow where the guy got over 1.4 grs / watt but guess what...if you take that X any LED panel and it still doesn't equal their claims.

I asked LEDgirl about the leaf to bud ratio in her pictures and she told me it was genetics. I also asked about all the other leafy buds I've been seeing and it was also "genetics". :dunno:

I really would like to see other LED growers chime in here.

Thanks for the info. I didnt realize this. I will stick to my 1000w hps and MH. Cooltubes are just too easy and cheap!

Well Nicoli you missed the part where soone else posted babyish, I said this is a place to cry.

I quoted you led bull figure it out...
I know people that use less but I would use a 1000 in a 4x4 area...I see you don't disagree with the fact it takes $3000 worth of LED's to cover the same space.

Nope, ya miss understood again. I am not sure on the footprint of a 600 or 100 watter, but 16 square foot like you said didn't sound right.

why would anyone using a 600w or 1000w HPS go out and buy 5 or 8 panels to get the same harvest. Do you know it takes 6 panels to cover 16 sq ft. ?

so a 600 watt HID cover 16 square feet??? Wow but then you say 1000 Watts in a 4x4 hmmm.....

Then:

Make up your mind!! how can I compare when you change the footprint by 3 times as much within 10 minutes!!

Now you say you use a 1000 watt in a 4x4 area?

In that case no I dont agree it would cost $3000 of leds to cover the same space...

Technically, the manufacturers advertise the lights as so:

400 = 4x4
600 = 6x6
1000 = 8x8
(these really hit the minimum end of the recommended coverage, but they still work with proper reflection)

Now most growers go by this:

600watt lighting an area of 4x4 is around 40w/sqft
1000watt lighting an area of 5x5 is 40w/sqft on the mark

40w is what you want to shoot for, but you can get away with doing less or more. 4x4 area = 16sqft
