It took me a few months in six grade to figure out how to move my ears, after laughing at my friend (who would always sit in front of me) every day and noting how it felt when mine actually moved...
I still remember the day I knew I had it down-pat.. the hour even. It was while the principle was explaining to me and my mom why I was being suspended for something retarded.
I remember my friends trying to tell me how to do the star trek live-long-and-prosper-thing
...and then sitting in church (catholic elementary school) fighting with my fingers to get into position... Once it actually worked I yelled YES and the friends that knew all cracked up...
I was deaf for the first few years of my life, but I only remember a few cue cards and sitting on a bench in speech therapy, and also a few salt/gravel silos on the side of the road on the way there... ?
Oh, and the first time I pissed into a toilet standing up I let go and firehosed into my face.
You?
