How much $$$ you think it could be to have 2 x 55w PL-L running?

My guess would be about $60 to $70... which I find a bit high since I already have a 150w HPS for this price...

Well there are two sides to that equation. On the first side you have light costs. The PL-L lights would be 40 watts less, and therefore be about 2/3 the price, but because of the fact that an HPS puts out a heck of a lot of heat, you need more watts for cooling too. The PL-L bulbs you can touch with your finger, or whole hand and it does not hurt. Whereas, if you were to touch an HPS, your finger might melt off. So you can reduce your ventilation, and grow your plants right up to the lights. Also, since we are comparing things; What if you were to have a 150 CMH much more compact, and also puts off a little less heat than an HPS, but not as huge of a difference as a PL-L. Anymore q's gimmie a hollar

I vote, 49$ for 130w (ok 110w - 65w is a aquarium bulb typically - fires 55w bulbs just fine) http://shop.aquatraders.com/Power-Compact-Aquarium-Lighting-s/11.htm

Just suggesting - better to buy something prebuilt and complete and hack it - than to build something off the shelf...

You could also just buy a WH7 ballast (~30$) 2g11 bases at 5$each, and a pair of bulbs for +/- 20$

No prob. Hey aren't those bulbs really far away from the plants? They don't look moveable so I'm guessing they're really only for full grown girls?

This response is what I get a lot of at the beginning of my grows. Do the lights look too far away now? Also take notice... I have buds under my screen which is 11 inches below my lights and 10 inches below my canopy. Here are some new pics! Week three is looking beautiful. Seeing as it only lets me post thumbnails now... Click the image to see the full majesty!

those PL-Ls will sure reach - just like growing coral at the bottom of an aquarium

even running 4 bulbs w/ the WH7 (only 220 watts) a guy could be ~$100 into their light and have less cooling requirements and plenty of space for a nice system -all stealth!

yeah, heres an update. i had 3 weeks left before flush. my now ex-girl and i broke up. she cut down more than half the grow, and took i dont know how much. ill give pics soon

Thats terrible i'm so sorry for your loss. Its hard to trust a creature that bleeds for a week and doesn't die. I've learned this a few times.

Would you have ever thought that was a possibility? i'm just wanting to know, since I keep telling my friends here that letting their gf's in on their grows isn't the safest idea, and they keep telling me that its totally ok and that nothing bad would ever happen to their shit..

i will say this . i still got some flowers, but nothing like it would have been. the high was incredible, about the woman, time heals all wounds, and ican always grow more. i do say i didn't see her cutting them down at all. never trust your partner. she even threatened authorities on me. i have a med card. the fairer sex is not really fair at all. unless its mary jane.
