Today ends week 9. They both need more time. I'm thinking 10-12. The waiting is getting tough.

why do you think they are taking this long? genetics? or other factors? were they already "mature" when you put em into 12/12?

Yea, genetics I suppose. They were about 5-6 inches tall when I switched to 12/12. Most of the strains I have looked at on different seed co's sites say they take anywhere from 8 weeks at the earliest to 12 weeks flower time. Indica's seem to often be faster than Sativa. These are both from unknown bagseed. Blue pot girl looks like a hybrid, shorter and fatter, but still more sativa. Red pot girl looks all sativa. I have seen some "early" strains advertised that only take 7-8 weeks. But these are going to take 10-12 I think. I'm in no hurry, they're done when the trich's say they're done.

Nice. Freakin'. Job. Hey man, I loved lookin through this thread. Can't get enuff of shwagseed/bagseed grows!! Quit throwin' that cash in the trash is what I say. Man, I got the same wattage as you just about but haven't flowered anything yet, you've given me some hope and confidence that i can get some buds out of that wattage. Lookin forward to seein the final product; I bet the wait is excruciating! 
By the way; have you thought about givin them some blackstrap molasses for the last little bit?? Fattened the fuck outta my outdoor laides this summer.

basspirate - Thanks for lookin in. I like the bagseed grows a lot too, you never know what sorta gem you might find. Although in looking through some other threads where some known quality strains are grown, it makes me really want to buy some nice beans. Maybe after a couple more runs.
I was thinking about trying molasses. I have read a lot of folks like to finish up with it. I just haven't gotten to any stores to look for it. Is it ok to use molasses until you pull em or do you still need to flush? For example, say I use the Tiger Bloom until the last 2 weeks, can I then use molasses the rest of the way or should I do 1 or 2 pure water flushes?

OK, so today ends week 10. Things are still going well.
It's amazing how COMPLETELY different these 2 girls are. They both came from some random shwag bagseed.
Blue pot girl is getting the flush, straight ph'ed water. She has fattened up really well. I think she has some indica in her. She is going to get the chop 1 week from today I think. Her pistils are starting to brown up. Her trichs are mostly milky, I saw a few amber. I think 1 more week she'll be good to pull.
Red pot girl is still a leafy lanky sativa whore. She got watered too right after the pics, she looks a little droopy. She is still getting FF Tiger Bloom. I'm going to let her go 2-3 more weeks. 14 weeks is as long as I've ever read a sativa takes to finish. She better smoke good for as long as she is taking to get there.
So there ya go. I'll post some harvest shots and wet weights from ol' Blue next week.

So today ends weeks 12 of 12/12. Old blue got the chop. She looks ok I think. She has a nice earthy almost piney smell. After trimming up she weighed out wet to about 55 grams, which comes to about 1.9 oz's. If we go down to 25-30% of that weight dry she'll yield somewhere around a half a zip. I'm ok with that, it's about what I had hoped for during this 1st test run with bagseed.
Here she is before getting yanked.
All trimmed up.

So that is one down, one to go. I was reading something the other day where someone (FreezerBoy I think) had a Sativa go 21 weeks. This red pot lanky sativa whore better not take that long, but she still needs time, thats for sure. She is really starting to pack on some bud. I'm thinking she'll go 16-18 weeks. I thought about just trashin her and starting my next run, but I can't, I gotta let her finish. She sure as fuck better fuckin smoke good when she is done. She has a real nice skunky smell to her.
All alone.
I'll post again when ol blue is dry with final weight. Then a smoke report after at least a 10 day cure.

J23: The carbon filter worked surprisingly well. Keep in mind this 1st run is a small grow with shwag strains that didn't put off too much smell. The sativa that is still going is pretty skunky, but I don't smell her at all till I open the cab up. I also keep a renuzit air freshener in the closet at all times, that is all I can smell when I go in. The scrubber is based on the SugarBear style. (It's actually the Zen WalMart pencil holder method I read on RIU). I would say there is 1/4 to a 1/2 inch of carbon all around inside it. I have not changed the carbon during this grow, but I will for my next run. After my next run of bagseed, when I feel I have things pretty well dialed in for this cab, I plan to invest in some good beans. Well see how the filter holds up against some Bubblicious or NL.

Thanks for lookin' in Rouxdy. Have you had good luck? What strains are you runnin'? This is just my 1st run in the cab to test it out. I wanted to see if any ol' Joe could grow some weed totally stealth, without going to any growshops. So far it has worked. I'm going to do one more run from shwag seeds, going to top and light LST, see how that method works. Then I will invest in some good beans. Prolly from Nirvana since their prices are the easiest for me to swallow.
