Ok so im 14 days into flowering this amazing LA Confidential Cut i vegged for close to 9 weeks ( wanted to get a max yield ).. After searching around for nutrient diffcientcies and asking a few people i still need help. She is showing some serious signs of yellowing on the bottom portion and leaves are begining to fall off. I think it needs more nitrogen possibly more veg nutes? Less PPM or more? Here is my mix of nutes im using let me know what you think and thanks in advance guys for the help:dance013:

10 gal res: 1050 ppm/5.9 ph
100 ml Hygrozyme
100 ml Liquid Karma
80 ml Kushie Kush
50 ml B'cuzz Growth-c-bio-nrg
50 ml B'cuzz Bloom-c-bio-nrg
50 ml B'cuzz Flavor bio-nrg 100% molasess

That container looks to be only 5 inches deep tops. Repot that baby into a much deeper container!

Agreed on transplanting. I also see a tiny amount of burn and a slight claw on some of the mid-upper leaves. Maybe back of the nutes just a touch. The transplant should work wonders.

one thing i did forget to mention is this plant sits in a 4x4 rockwool cube burried in soil have had good results in the past with these as they retain alot of nutrients and water when the soil in dry on top

Thanks guys i appreciate the help from the experts any more suggestions or should i just back off on the nutes a bit and maybe compensate a little more for the nitrogen? Bigger than 5 gal container that she is already in ??

U have a total of 5 gallons total volume but MJ plants need vertical root penetration within the given container they are in. What is the total height of that container it is presently in? I guarantee, if that is a shallow container, that a transplant into a 5 gallon painters bucket would work wonders on that plant. It is getting too big to have that shallow of a root system. Which could harm the plant given such a large surface area to absorb heat and no depth for the roots to escape it.
Plus with a transplant into rich soil loaded with nutes....you won't have to fertilize for a few weeks. :joint:

Just measured it and it sits in 11" of soil /hydroton , I think i will take everyones advice and give her a bigger container and some new ocean forest is at 1000ppm out of the bag so thats a great idea brotha:biggrin: Im just worried about the transplant and hope i dont mess her up in the process. My other cuts are staying in 6x6 cubes on a flood table no more soil after this grow

If it vegged in that pot, it's most definitely rootbound and needs a transplant. If there's hydroton on the bottom, you could just take that out and replace with soilmix and put back in same pot. That plant has already begun flowering, so it's not going to grow it's roots for more than a few more weeks. Don't put it into TOO much of a bigger pot or you'll have problems watering.

Looks like normal yellowing to me. Those bottom leaves are blocked from the light and the plant is just saying these leaves aren't really worth keeping alive.

Just let them fall naturally and be happy. Your plant looks great.

I think your 100% right , its already in a 5 gal container and i have yielded more than 1gpw on this strain with the exact same setup , just wanted some advice from you guys on here but im leaning more toward bumping up the nitrogen a tad and ppm level stay at 1000-1050 but thats what plants do in flowering is yellow the bottom leaves :whistling: I may just get a 7 gal container and a new bag of ocean forest and call it a day lol

Dude your plants looks healthy, my buddy has the same strain says its not a fast vegger.

Just prune your lower growth and turn those sucker branches into clones for the next cycle.

Yea your lower growth isn't getting any light, that plants looks very happy just keep doing what your doing.

it looks a bit underfed imho .. if you are sure its not rootbound, you might raise food a bit..

looks like light isn't hitting those lower leaves and they're giving up the nutes to the leaves up top hence the yellowing; if you want your lower leaves to stay green regardless you can foliar and u won't loose any but once you flower you should stop foliar spraying so what you have looks normal in my book

how tall is the plant? what sort of light is it under?

its 38" tall and its flowering under a 400w hps I gave her some wet betty and colassal bud blast for foilar feed today and 750 ppm with 5.9 ph. Im stopping the foilar spray after today cause im on the 16th day of flowering 2 1/2 weeks ...

I would love to clone the sucker branches however im already 16 days into flowering is that too late to take some cuts? I have some clonex rooting gel ready to go :smokeit:

Please do not listen to this advice. Youre at 1000+ ppms, your plant is not fucking hungry, lol.

It seems youve got the ticket already anyways, looks good.

Yea at 1000+ ppm i wouldnt think i need anymore nutes . I have been doing this a while but i always am open to others advice and suggestions. Thanks for the input and confidence bro now i can just keep letting her do her thing

Dry & Sad

To Me it Looks Really Dry & Sad. I would start by using Bat Guano scoops near the Stump & Just Soak it all & Let the Water Drain. Then Let it sit for a few days & do it again. It Looks Hungry. I would do some Dyna-Gro Foliar Spray under the Leafs & All over the top.

Like others before me have said....She looks great...i would trim the sucker branches on the bottom of the plant, and let it roll....You have already gotten 1 gpw so you know those lower branches wont produce anything worth keeping..im talking about the lower shoots that are only a few inches long....kinda lollipop style...looks good though man..im running this same strain right now..i didnt veg for as long as you, but mines in 12/12 for 2 weeks as well... i love the leaves and the structure of the L.A. Con's.....they are pretty plants...huge long, rugid leaves, with a very nice green.... good luck man, shits looking good....Later bro....

get a ruler that is 12 inches long; hold it on the bottom of each stem and remove any sucker branches and leafs that are in that area... you'll notice these are all the yellowing leafs you have.. they're yellowing because the light isn't reaching them as the 400 isn't strong enough to penetrate that deep into the canopy

the look great otherwise; great work :joint:
