Any sources available to purchase beans of Spice of Life Sweet Tooth? I have been out of circulation awhile and this was favorite. I liked the hard, resin buds and the pleasant, up high. Good for getting things done, weekend chores. Any recommendations for something similiar?

I made some Sweet Tooth #3 x Black Kush (Black Domina x Hindu Kush) beans a while back and found a super pucker up grape tasting pheno. With that pheno, I made Double Sweet Tooth #3 x Black Kush. At the time, I decided to call it John Paul Jones. I have a project in the works now and expect John Paul Jones IX-I at SB in spring '10.

BCbuddepot is bad news, buyer beware.

Good to hear your releasing some gear Zep, gonna make alot peeps happy to see your in the game again!!

So Chimera's Grapefruit/Blueberry is the same as SOL's Sweettooth 1.1? Thats interesting, I'll have to go get a pack for sure!

Never tried her before, but heard some good things....heard some bad things too, to be honest, Id like to find out for myself if possible.

Yes correct it is the same batch as the Swt 1.1 a good place to start for authentic Sweettooth 1.1.

Peace
Koot.

Careful wording there, huh koot? GF/BB in my opinion is NOT the same as breeder Steve's creation Sweet Tooth (3 & 4).

Simple fact, you can't change the parents and call something the same thing, hence Sweet Tooth is now "Sweet Tooth 1.1". Simple as that

Not really being careful just stating the facts. Feel free to buy anything called Sweettooth....your choice.

I would try some of Dutchgrown's Sweetest Cindy (Grimm's C99 F1 x SoL Swt #3 F1). She's an outstanding breeder and knows her stuff, and has access to these top cuts, so her stuff is totally legit.

I also want Swt #3, so I'm going to try this route to find a Swt #3-ish mom. Heck, even if there isn't a strong Swt #3 leaning pheno, it's still half C99 :)

+1. I've heard a lot of good regarding Dutchgrown, and if I really wanted something with sweet in it, that'd probably be the route I'd go. My only hesitation with that strain is you're talking a combination of two F1 plants...from my rudimentary understanding of breeding, this would give you progeny that's so variable, you'd need to grow out many seeds to find a true keeper.

I've posted in a Sweetest Cindy thread, asking this very question: Sweetest Cindy. Curious what they have to say.

Beyond all that, you may not want to limit yourself to Sweet Tooth alone. There are many, many excellent strains out there to choose from. Sweet Tooth is old news, if you'll forgive me saying so.

Neither C99 nor Sweet Tooth #3 or #4 are technically "F1" strains lol

They are more like IBL's or close to it as both have been inbred or backcrossed several times. A true F1 is the first seed generation of a cross between two distinct parents from distant genetics. So Sweet Tooth #3 x C99 = F1 Seeds.

Their resulting progency from that cross would be the "F1" generation as illustrated and most likely show very good hybrid vigor and have 50/50 genes contributed from both parents but likely display 3 phenos which would be one that is more like each of the two parents with some traits from the other and one showing near equal traits from both. Many of these differences may not even be visible to the naked eye but in the genes. Making F2's of those seeds would yield extreme variations in phenotypes including specimens nearly identical to the original parents.

As far as original Breeder Steve's Spice of Life Sweet Tooth goes, the newer 1.1 is definitely different as it has a totally different blueberry dad, a related line but different none the less. It is similiar but surely not the "same" as #3 or #4. Even #3 and #4 are somewhat different in several ways. Steve's Sweet Tooth is just like smoking thc frosted grapefruit candy, literally in every sense of those words. The buzz is very comfortable & enjoyable.

Anyways, I have both pure lines of Swt #3 and #4 in seed form, inbred and originals in packs from SOL. There is nothing else like it. Not the absolute strongest potency wise but surely a good 7/10 strength wise. The real quality is in the amazing look, chromatic white trichomes, delicious smell, yummy taste, big yield, and plain ease of growing & cloning. It is a damn fine strain and very dominant in crosses as it seems to just take over.

Sweet Tooth is one of the most famous and loved strains of all times. It's on a very short list with legendary strains like Northern Lights, Skunk #1, Big Bud, Haze, etc.

Many may not realize that Spice of Life strains like the Tooth have been going strong since 1994! That is 16 years and counting folks, before many of you were even old enough to drive.

:joint:

Here is an example of the chromatic trichomes from a Sweet Tooth #4 x bb/sweet skunk cross I made a few years back. This one was a blueberry/thai sativa leaning pheno both smell and structure wise, check the sparkling diamond glands! Smells like licorice & grapefruits!

Zep - Sounds interesting.

The ones I grew were the Sweet Tooth #4. Very uniform squat plants - awesome plant structure.
