Buying from online shops in OZ

Anyone ever purchased hydro gear from online shops?
You use a fake name? Safe address?
When it turned up was there anyway of identifing the contents, or where it had come from?

This comes off the back of the new laws in SA, we've got less than 4 weeks to buy all the ballasts, globes, shades, carbon filters and trimmers we're ever gonna need... time to go online me thinks

Anyway what your exp. with online hydro shopping, Im very sceptical at the moment

Hi 154 never purchased hydro gear online but from what im hearing is different shops saying different times when the laws come in i have been told june 1st but who knows, all i can say is buy as much as you can before they slap these ridiculous laws into effect...

I have a m8 who orders stuff from ebay with no troubles but like you i am sceptical aswell, not a good situation but im sure we will find ways around this...

Yes I have purchased hydro products many times, but after first purchase on line they gave me a phone number to call & a 5% discount for all phone orders, very discrete. They don't store records, so you must give details every time. I paid with VISA & used my name. The Boxes always come plain & if it is an original hydroponic product box they cover it all over with thick black plastic wrap, no way anyone can see. They post all over Australia & are in Wollongong I think they are called Discount Hydroponics, I will post there details for anybody wanting to contact them. I found them to have the best prices in Australia I live in Sydney but prefer to buy from the Gong & pay postage which is always cheap anyway, they don't add on extra for post(at cost price) & use a courier service.

Hi bro were in Australia, but were in the same boat as the USA when it comes to the law, we have our own breed of rednecks down here brother. Yes you are are right you can ask not to have feedback as I have done in the past.

Then a long time after that I bought another thing and enquired the price for postage and he quoted the very original enquiry I'd made weeks ago for the first product. Maybe he was making a point the postage is always the same or something? Dunno, but they do store info, depending on your definition.

AussiePonics (or something like that) has that name on the parcel label so it's not very stealthy.

And go into your ebay options, you can turn your feedback to private.

ive bought from Discount Hydroponics, came in plain packaging nothin obvious or suss. Have also gotten a couple of other odds n ends off E-bay. They all came quickly, plain n the invoices were paid to company names that had no mention of hydro or growing. But i do use different names n addresses nearly everytime. Peace n if u cant b good b good at it

Discount Hydro are sweet but stay the fuck away from Ozponics or whatever its called, the one's who stock the Growlush gear. One look at the ebay site is enough to tell you the place is geared for one type of client and it's not the hobby grower. Cheap equipment and 10-12packs of globes for a discount??? it's obvious the filth would be keeping a very close eye on transactions made through the store. I know we have laws that are meant to stop the pricks from sorting through our shit like the crabfleas they are but this is Australia so we best not kid ourselves into thinking we're not being screwed.

G'Day all. Yeah i use Discount Hydge and things turn up in excellant condition. The tent i just got was in a black box, in good order and very fast. Heard weird shit about Aussieponics, the items demaged, pieces missing, bodgy parcels etc etc. Good luck.
