What do you mean by female traits? A trait is more strain dependant rather then male/female. A male will usually be less bushy and a bit taller but this may not even be displayed until pre-flowers form. Basically you need to wait for atleast pre-flowers, and even then it is a bit iffy if you are not firmilar with our beloved plants biology. How many weeks into veg are you?

Im just looking for signs of female or female "traits." I planted the seeds dec 26. they are nice and bushy i can post pics of youd like. thanks for any imput.

i have been criticized for saying this, but i really do believe that the 2 stamen/appendage/hair like structures on the stem at the top internode there. they sometimes point toward or away from each other. when pointing toward, they kinda of make an x. when they point away, i dont know, they just point away. when i notice these things point away, i alwaaaaays see a female. whenever i see them point inward or def cross, i USUALLY have a male. if they cross, its always been male. now, i am now old fart OG grower. im 32. so, could alll be coincidence. i wish i knew the formal name for these hair like appendages i am referring to. they are def not hairs or pistils tho, just little tiny green straight upward pointing mini toothpicks that are on each side of them stem by an internode. someone help me please.....hahaha. ill shut up now.

I would have to lean closer to the side of coincidence, although that is a rather stout observation. What you are referring to are the Stipule that grow out at each node. These usually hide the developing pre-flowers.

You can check around the 5th or 6th node using atleast a 10x loup to check for pre-flowers but once again you have to know what your looking for. Post a picture of a higher node. So the seeds probably broke the surface about a month ago... What type of light do have on them and what are you feeding them. Whats the medium that your using?

Hmm. I didn't see anything in any of your photos indicative of a preflower . . .

Counting from the bottom up take a look at the 5th and 6th nodes. This is often where the first preflowers form. Can you get a really close up and clearly focused shot of both sides of the 5th and 6th node? If so post them and we'll have alook if there are any pre-flowers to be seen.

Here is pre-flower @ the 6th node on a plant about 26 days old. See it there? Just in front of the emerging shoot nestled in the nook of the node :)

Here is a closeup of a male preflower about 30 days into veg:

Hmm, sorry bro I don't see any signs of preflowers in any of your pictures but they are taken a little far away.

Try to get in closed in macro or super macro mode (not sure what kind of camera you have), but try to get a photo like the 2 I linked you too.

Also, try to crop the images to just the nodes, otherwise the ICMAG image software will automatically re-size these images and detail will be lost. Max size is 1,024 x 1,024 @ 144kb .

Do you see anything at the nodes that resembles what I posted?
