yeeha! you're up and running! Glad to see you didn't waste any time getting that new batch of girls ready and in there.
Nice bag too.

Nice growin! Real beautiful flowers.
But did I miss something? yield < 200g from 800watts?
I too am using a 400w HPS and 400w MH and was curious too see how your grow would compare.
I think you're just using too little space. Or you can turn off one of those lights for that space.
I'm using a 48" x 32" tray. Just finished my first run in this cab; 417g from 6 (3') plants. Was using poor genetics, and only filled about 60% of my canopy space.
I've currently got clones rooting for the next run. Going to be 24 LA Confidential, each in 2gal sq pots, vegged to about 18".

JACKtheREFFER-More GI, just had it laying around, but I really wanted to do a run of Blue Dream, which I now have in the stable but not ready to run yet.

SirSmokalot-Your buds are dank, I'd love to hit that decap!!!

suckerrepellent-Right on dude good to see ya back! Will you be doing any runs? This run won't be much different from last, but hey its all just to get some freakin weed man so fuck it!

hazy-The bag cures the buds real nice dude! Yup I am not ever going to fuck around again, I wasted like 6 months mang. Total waste of time.

coconaut-nah bro you didn't miss a thing, I got a shit yield gram per watt. I don't have any more space for now, and 1 400 just didn't seem enough, so I said fuck it I'll really cram some light in there and try to pump them girls up. Not really what I wanted, but I know the lights themselves are old, bulbs old, ballasts, so thats why before I switch these new ladies I'd love to be able to buy a digi 600...Hoping that will get the buds slightly bigger...Also the run after this I plan on buying a tent and tray to give all the girls more room to breathe, I think that was another problem. Thanks for stoppin by ;)

-Thanks for checkin out the documentation and awesome pics! haha

HookaHittaH-DUDE, coco is the SHIOT. Seriously, listen to me. Tonight I went to a buddies house and he uses coco/perlite. He informed me that after every full harvest he just reuses the coco AS IS IN THE POT. He cuts a small square out of the roots in the pots and places his cutting in the pot that has already been fully rooted. He does not use any enzymes to even break down the old roots, he just goes on with a new flower NOT EVEN FLUSHING THE COCO AFTER HARVEST!!!!! My buddy has used the coco for two entire runs now on his third with this technique and I couldn't fucking believe how dank his plants looked. It's like the old roots were never even there. That's how dank coco is.

Planning on flippin to flower in two days. Got a couple of scragglers but honestly I could care less, I just wanna keep a good schedule and get a tent after this next run. PEACE

im continuing my old thread, nothing like something three years old coming back! i have some interesting things going on and it will all be documented!
i have started using a new ballast, and i think its a great upgrade from the lumatecs. the brand is quantum horticulture, and its a 600. the design made it about 33% smaller (than the lumatec), has an awesome built in intake and exhaust to cool the inside, and even has variable output strengths (dimable to 75%, 50% and 25% of maximum). its my first run with them so i guess some more time will tell, but im stoked so far (http://quantumhort.com/).

looking forward to more of your project!

edit: damn look at all those green boxes :) you must have been active and helpful! good job dude.

on this subject ,,,,, how dense is your root balls at harvest i have a friend who runs cocco and 90 % of his root structure grows out of the pot and leaves the cocco almost completely un-penetrated ... his roots grow out into his table and allkinds of green shit grows on his roots .... he claims thats what cocco is suppose to do ,, i told him he is full of shit,.....but hes smarter then me, in his two harvests he has learned more then i have in my hundereds of harvests (that was sarcasm if ya didnt catch it ) BTW .. his plants look decent but his buds are tiny ....so id say somethings wrong ..... i was just curious how your root balls look ....we all know your buds are dank ...

That's crazy about reusing the coco like that Cali. I will deff have to do some more research on this subject. I wish I could be experimenting with this right now but current living restrictions do not allow me to do this... I have to wait till spring time and warmer temps to get my outdoor grow going. Do you think you have to water less often with coco than using soil?

Nah bro, if anything you have to water more. But that's the beauty! Soil plants just sit there kind of drowning if you will. It's not bad, don't get me wrong, but coco is more like hydro. Everyday if the coco drys out like mine has been and usually does, you have to water. Well that gives you the opportunity to either flush right away when you see an issue, or feed every single day pumping your bitches up. It's sick, if you like to work and get good results that is....

Yes I water every day, but I have more control that way. Coco gives you more advantages than soil with more stank than complete hydro systems IMO. Plants always seem to root fast as shit in coco, more so than soil. Once I used coco, I never stopped. It's been a couple years now, and I don't plan on changing a thing. Peace

very nice, i like the set up. :respect:
i do hand watering for my coco tho. i have a 32 gal clean reverse osmosis water res. and i use a 2 gal watering pale. this way i can fine tune each plant, and flush the ones finishing. i water daily. i dont mind the extra attention. kinda gives me somthing to do.
