Ahaha, yeah that's probably a fungus gnat, b00m.: I'm officially sick of these gnats.

Cheese, thanks, translated from Australian, that means "I expect to see my good friend in the coming days, and hopefully they've planted some of the Purple Kush seeds like the one I have growing." :D (The world famous HSLVPK!)

Cheers J. Believe it or not I bought my camera on ebay years ago very cheap and it's worked flawlessly! The main thing in my opinion is to look for one that can focus very close to the lens. I think mine is 2cm from the lens and others can focus even closer. That + good lighting is how to get the great macro shots.

Niiice one bro! Great that you got some seedage. These ones of mine have some really nice smells too. I haven't sat down and tried to pin them all down yet though :)

I really hope you do go HPS. :witch:

Looking forward to the updates, and enjoy. Peace.

Edit: You must spread some blah blah blahhhhh! It never lets me rep when I need it to, lol.

Well that deserves a mega update. I lowered the tray so I could get good shots. Jumbo pic time :smokey:

As the plants were 12/12'd early, I named them in order. F being female, so F1 was the first to show pistils, and F5 was the last. The later ones are some way behind and as such, may improve more than the description I gave them.
-----
F1: Short, stout stature. Big compact buds. Fairly putrid smell. Good keeper for indoors. In fact it's the keeper.

'scuse the French but FUCK yeah! :smokey:
-----

F2: Lanky gangly stature with intermittent budding. Diamond shaped buds (fat in the middle). Rotten passionfruit smell (kinda). Good outdoors potential.

-----

F3: Semi gangly stature. Smaller buds but good trich coverage. Bleachy chlorine smell. Might be okay outdoors, generally fairly decent but not great.

picture.php

picture.php

-----

F4: Very lanky, gangly, very thin stems. Small, airy buds. Smells like passionfruit. Not much of a keeper.

picture.php

picture.php

-----

F5: Average stature. Smaller buds, thin stems. Not that interesting. Nor much of a keeper.

So yeah, the later ones could well pick up steam, but that's how it stands as of tonight. :underwater:

Q: Should I stop feeding the more advanced ones about now?

Thanks.

Thats how it's done. Bro you can come and be a photographer down @ b00m town anyday.
How old is the girls and how long do ya want to take them/ and flush??
f1 looks wet with resin, with those crazy hairs I like and would be a keeper in my books too.

Peace.

Hehe cheers buddy! :D

Man, I didn't keep good records here, lol. They sprouted 8th November. I flipped them 1st December, and then they took "a while" to flower, in the order of the numbering. Got no exact dates. No idea how long they take  HELP! :biglaugh:

I *think* they started showing pistils around the 21st December....ish.

I basically want them to be pale green at harvest, not the thick dark green of a lot of the bud leaf. Don't wanna take em too far, trichome-wise.

Does any of that make sense? And yeah, it's a hairy-assed bud! Long pistils. :witch: Cheers bloke.

Edit: I also want to reveg the keepers if that makes it even more difficult :biglaugh:

Frosty as hell! What a nice sight to see. Long pistils yes but also very wonderfully coated.
Just came to check in but it looks like things are going wonderfully at Casa Del Scrub

If they started showing pistils on the 21st, call that day one of flower and give 'em 9 weeks. Do you own a loupe or microscope?

Reveg shouldn't be a problem, there is a couple of rules to adhere to:-
- Leave at least 10 -15% of the lower branches when harvesting. This is important for plant survival, if not enough leaf and such is left plant will not reveg.
- I flush my soil with twice the volume of soil with plain ph'd water, 2l soil requires 4l water
- After flush feed plant with a mild strength veg solution nutes mix, I use Charlie Carp and Superthrive at 1/2 strength or less for this.
- Of course alot of people trim the rootball and such, I cannot help in this dept as I have yet to hold on to a mum/reveg long enough to be able to do this.:dunno: (I am very picky about what to keep)
- Stick the plant back under 24/0, or 18/6 light schedule, I have had quicker reveg turn arounds using 24/0, but at the mo am using 18/6, and about in a months time you will have something looking like this :-

- Mongy looking leaves will start to emerge from whats left of the bud sites, then the normal serrated leaves will start to appear, when the normals appear is when I would usually put them back into the flower cab (ala Dr. Bud style), but that one above in the pic is the first that's staying in veg as a permanent mum.:yay:
I used to think that reveg was a strange science that I couldn't perform until I found out how, here on IC Mag :dance013: now 95% of my attempts are successful following the above guidelines(some plants just hate being revegged). Hope this helps you bro and anyone else playing along at home. Enough from me I'm off to bed, stayed up for the Dutchgrown seed drop just to watch the fun and games, sucks though when the $$ are low and you can only watch :booked:.
Peace.

Thanks guys. We got this on lock :D I do own a trich scope, but I lost it in the mess - I'll dig it out.

Here's the PK at 6 or 7 days above ground, and the temporary setup I got going for the rain water storage (gotta buy a bigger container!). It's a small aquarium powerhead with a venturi attached. It points straight up and ruptures the surface a little.

Cheers bro! Yeah I've never smoked any named kush that I know of. But Hydro-sun and his pals never shut up about it :D I'm convinced already it's the best strain in the world, and hopefully spread it round Oz. Shame it's not a cut but you never know what it could turn out like, and I still have more seeds anyway. I'm hopeful the true majesty of the original cut will show, or maybe even better. Peace.

scrub check out some root bound blue burmese. accident of timing - I ran out of pots. It's meant to be for seeds but my menage a trois male is just making flowers, not pollen.

DSCF0001.jpg

old conversation but - Hey pedro, I double checked. Mineral C is CO2. My source is Dr. Elaine Ingham, the biologist. Bacteria broke down proteins into mineral N and mineral C just after the very beginnings of life on this planet. That's how the atmosphere was formed, which is what plants need to be able to turn light and water and CO2 into organic compounds. Oxygen breathing animals, bacteria, and plants needed the pioneers to mineralize C first. The original N was from lightning. It was used along with C to make proteins, which where broken apart by bacteria resulting in mineral N and mineral C. So mineralization of nutrients is the essential process to plant and animal life. A process that still goes on today - if bacteria all shut down, we would be out of breathable air in no time.

Is having a living soil worth it? Only if you want healthy plants with less stress, and only if you actually enjoy having a living soil. It's not for every one or every situation. And it seems to me that what you do, which is very responsible chem growing, is pretty much identical to what most organic cannabis gardeners are doing, so there is no need for anyone to get sanctimonious.

Living soil though, is a whole different story. It doesn't come when it's called, but it's a living member of the family, if you will. And the delivery and regulation of nutes is incredibly sophisticated. It's a much more complex machine than man can manufacture.

Good morning and nice colouring there! What's with the helpful post button? lol. This could get interesting! :D

You know, my overall theory on mine being not as perfect as I would like, is a combo of things but pot size is definitely part of it. I think small pots, mixed with air holes, mixed with being stoned off my head and lazy/not watering enough, has caused the mix drying out on occasion, and this has screwed up the nutrient delivery.

I think my EM is activated! I will test it today although my ph meter has a little bit of slime algae ingrained in it - I don't know what to clean it with safely so I just use a toothbrush and water. Do you know is it ok to pour the AEM in a clean cup, measure it, then tip it back in the bottle?

HydroSUN, I got your name mixed up in the previous post, I do apologise!

Sorry to hear of the latest thing, bro. That sucks! Wish I had more I could say.

But I worked out how to clean my ph meter safely at least. :watchplant: I know you guys are excited about that, don't try and hide it.

EDIT: Yo, my EM is 3.2 ph. Sweeeet.
