I have bought knock offs with the white and also with the silver lining and both work just fine. As far as which is better than others.. For me it was price versus usability. Getting myself 2 4x4 tents for under $180 shipped seems like a solid investment especially since they both paid for themselves the first cycle.

Are there better, higher quality tents? Of course BUT the cheaper ones have held up fine, no off gassing or other b.s. and happily hold up my 600 w reflector among other things. Seems stable to me and does the job.

I have not tested the 100% light proof ability of the tents simply because I think that is hit and miss dependant on the person sewing it together. To buy a tent for double or triple the price just to have it hopefully be 100% light proof is not beneficial enough since it is pretty damn simple to fix any and all light leaks on any tent AND it still look not shoddy or ghetto rigged.

I think it is great to get the quality tents BUT for those looking for the most bang for their buck the cheapers that I have been getting have stood up no matter what I did to them.

GrowLab hands down, you won't find a better tent.

How old were your BudBoxes? What were the quality like? is it true the zippers were of military standard like they claim? I am interested in a GrowLab, and the budBox was also a possibility for me this is why i'm asking. Could you elaborate or go into more detail about your comaprison between the two brands...pros and cons? Thanks

I see your point, i'd only disagree because i am unfortunately one the perfectionists who likes a pretty room without the little patches here and there with gaffer tape lol.

Anybody else have a Grow Bright brand tent? From what I can tell it's like the silver Hydro Huts and like I said the Mother Keeper is way too good of a deal when the Clone Lab is the same thing with shelves and $250 plus shipping so you pay $120 or so more for some shelves you can probably find to fit in the Mother Keeper...

At the risk of sounding like a bit of a prick, this thread clearly explains that this thread is not to be used to discuss cheap shite like what you mentioned... Please people how hard is it to discuss a thread in a purpose it was intended for? Does it ever cross anyones mind that maybe this is why it is so hard to find a simple answer on the internet? because people keep sidetracking the threads when it could easily be avoided by simply reading the thread properly? If you fancy a chat, go visit a chat room. Otherwise keep things in focus please.

Sorry to most of you guys who have responded to this thread, most of you guys have put some very relevent feedback, to which this thread was specifically intended for. So Thank you, I'm sure you know who you all are.

LOL you sound like a total douchebag.

The Grow Bright tents are no less quality than any other Hydrohut clone, and you snuck a few hut clones on to the poll, so yea, your reaction makes no sense.

Way to leave Sun Hut off the poll too - they are the current price/performance winner in the tent game.

More sturdy than a Jardin tent, both the poles and cover, and cost like half as much. Too bad they don't make them in the same sizes as the Jardin tents, which give you some breathing room if you want to use a tray.

*Have you ever owned or know anybody who owns/owned a Grow Bright tent?

*Which of the above tents on the poll do you think are rip offs and why?

*Your right about the SunHut, unfortunately i'd already setup the poll by the time i looked up the SunHut and couldn't add it to the poll after it was originally created, however i did, re-edit and give it a mention. lol :)

Ok buddy how long you been growing you just starting? Obviously you don't know who I am so come at me differently bro especially when I'm adding VERY useful info to this thread.. The fact that you left out Grow Bright and then put up others is just biased at best. Also you seem to think I'm just spouting air but I OWN both tents I speak of I have a Secret Jardin DR80 and a Grow Bright Mother Keeper which was a whole $130 less than what GrowLab wanted for the same shit with shelves! I did A LOT of research before I bought my tents also started the Tent Growers club that's quite popular so buddy you sound like a idiot leaving out the rest all call what I have "cheap shit" but you have Green Rooms on the poll hahahahahah do your homework pal.... I tired to help but I guess you are too cool for truth and reality...

Of course i don't know who you are., and you don't know me either. Seen as you called me out so to speak, i'll inform you that i'm certainly NOT a beginner as far as growing is concerned, but i won't even take the time to explain it in this thread. However, I may update with some photo's soon). But i do consider myself new to growing with tents... I've never used one before (I never claimed to be an expert hense the reason for the thread in the first place) as i've ALWAYS built my own.

If you'd have took the time to check before sending your last message, you may have noticed that infact id already deleted/edited my original posting about the cheap shite, having spent a little time looking into this brand and realising that perhaps they were worth looking into... However, Since i'd already setup the poll, i could not add anything or remove anything from it, but that doesn't mean the brand isn't worth mentioning in the thread...hense the reason i deleted/edited my post,

The reason the Greenroom is on the poll (sure, it looks like a pile of shit, and looks cheap and nasty, however, they do have some unique features which in my view validates the Greenrooms listing in the poll... metal corner frame as opposed to plastic corners... TWO SEPERATE LAYERS. etc

The other reason i did not particularly not want to discuss UNKNOWNS is because i don't believe that the smaller companies can afford to invest as money and research in quality as the larger well known companies (I accept that even the larger well known companies have gimmicks too)... If we spoke about every unknown manufacturer and new tent/cheap tent...whatever, then this thread would never serve it's purpose.

PMSL.. I agree, some people take themselves far too seriously, only in my eyes it's the quiet ones you need to look out for hahaha.

Threads are to hopefully serve a purpose, unfortunately there are always some people who distract from the cause... However just to make it clear. The thread was wrote specifically to answer my own questions, and other people who share the same feelings as me. (I'm sure there are many who don't want to built a tent with panda film) and who have also planned and built so many rooms that for once they might be willing to purchase a tent, if it lives up the the same high standards my DIY rooms were. If I cant get quality similar to what i can create/manufacture myself, then sure i will build my own room... again. However, because i don't particularly want to spent the time and effort buliding a room, i genuinely hope this thread can serve its purpose and possibly point me and other people in the direction of buying the best tent on the market (QUALITY) was the aim, not just cost effectiveness.

Thanks everyone participating, some relevent answers. Thanks alot.

HomeBox fans might be interested in the GrowLAB series of tents... A joint venture between Everest Garden Supplies and HomeBox... Not only do they claim to have taken the best features from the Secret Jardin DarkRoom series of tents, but also have the benefit of it being manufactured by HomeBox too.
