Well so there it is 10/10 in the smoke department is what we all long for. And big pharma will never be able to make better than the PK and the PK will overgrow the world hand to hand friend to friend ICmager to ICmager and there is nothing that can stop a weed of this quality.

And a special thanks to OC who smoked my weed, my hash, sent back a few scraggly plants, but managed to keep the smoke to himself. The smoke is 10/10 and that is really hard to see leave your stash box until you know you have a year supply

Really time to upgrade

Well if DG is going to be running the PK, I've got to step my game up several notches. The UC has been alright with the PK in the Dungeon, but it doesn't play well with STG (not a big deal), but most unfortunate for me the UC keeps my plants too green and healthy. It is turning my 8 week PK into a 10 week plant. Even the BBB is taking too long to ripen. I pulled out the 30x jewelers loop and all the crystals are clear as diamonds.

Look back at my first run of PK in the upgrade room in the 5 gal buckets they were SO PURPLE at 56days, the next run in the UC not nearly as purple or ripe with 60 days, now the dungeon not ripening. Don't get me wrong it is wonderful to see the big ladies swelling their buds and pushing out white hairs. Some strains "Foxtail" well that is lame this PK "Crowns" it pushes out nugs not foxtails.

So that is the skinny now for the fun.

My newest favorite veg plant of all time is a top clone of my PKseed. PKseed smells hashier than the HS LVPK cut so maybe I might even like her better. That is a 2.5gal bottle with her she is a little taller and twice as wide (gotta love those large ladies )


Well that is it for the Purple Kush update. The upgrade room is a huge mess and maybe worthy in a week or so when the BBB is two weeks into 12/12.

that'd odd that your plants are ripening slower in a different system; u think it is nute related?

if you can find pure flowers by higrocorp; it's 0-20-30 liquid that u add at like 1ml/gal... i added it about 30ml at a time and i think i used more of it during the peak ripening times to bump up ppms than the regular dutch master flower nutes i used; plants only see in n-p-k so i figure they don't care what bottle it comes out of... think you have too much n in the mix??

also the under current is its own beast with nutes as other hydro methods and systems don't really come close to the amount of dissolved oxygen running through the system which i've found can make nutes precipitate and behave differently.

i'm sure a 2 week flush of pure h20 will make em ripen as well but that could b a bit much in dwc; how long do u usually flush for?

Optic: Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just make it official here. The secret ingredient I've used for this run is Phospoload. It is a boom enhancer and I think you are correct, the plants don't care what bottle it came out of. I used 95mls of phospoload in the dungeon for the eight plants in the 12site UC. I really like how the buds look this time around.

I think the ripening is a function of the plants being sooooo much more green and healthy with the UC so when I took them from 1260 on day 50 to 350 for day 50 and 51 and then on day 52 I redrained the whole system and replaced at half level 81ppm RO and Clearex. Well there are no salts locked in the roots or hydroton / STG because after two days the plants are at 135PPM. The PH seems to jump up from 5.6 at lights out to 6.8 by lights on.

135PPM (when 80 of it is Clearex sugars) is almost pure water and better than most tap water in the USA. Like I said under my old system I would start the flush after week 7 and with a full week of clearex dump repeat I would get them down to 100PPM. Now I can move the PPM down in a day and they stay green as can be.

I may have had a lot of N at the beginning of the week but it has been a while with out any nutes and just won't quit sprouting white hairs or ripen its crystals!

Killa: You are a breeder that works with PK. I'd love to have you take a look at my cut(s) one day.

Ya know I have had that same problem be for. I ran dry kool bloom instead of liquid and my afghani that usually would go 65 days went like 75 or 80 days it just kept popping new hairs out of no where so I finally said screw it and picked it. I think it can happen with a really high p & k.
Other than that beautiful plants and you should see the pks I gifted to a friend we took cuts tuesday and now the plants are twice the size they were in 3 days them pks are the shit very lush and are growing fast I mean like jimi johns fast.

id love to take you up on that offer one day soon...your pk is one of the nicest ive seen to date.......im just working out my mom box and id love to run this cut! the PK use in my cross were from nirvana master kush seeds which used the purple phenos to stabilize the purple....my kush pheno came out no where as purple as yours but the rhino was dr. load p. rhino which is probably the most purple strain you can find

Im gonna be crossing the OG Black Haze to my origanal f1 purple kushx purple rhino male in the coming month!

Well it is out now too many people have this strain, she is the "Idiot's guide to weed." I have never seen an easier strain than the PK. She is most accepting of heat, ph, nute, insect or other stress.

My foliar spray is always UNADJUSTED RO water, but that is just because I am lazy and she loves everything.

ICmagers have PK in CA,OR,WA,NV,NM,TX,MN,RI. Well that is eight different states and there are a few growers in many of the states so a dozen or so ICmagers growing the HS cut of the LVPK.

Just look at the photos DG posted. 48hrs sealed in a dark shipping container and she is cloning and rooting like the I've advertised.

Well in about two weeks I'll be able to get cuts and clones off of this run of vegging ladies then we can work on getting these genetics to Killa (also the really pruple AFPK "Maja") because I want to start growing the crosses

I also will make crosses once I move. I have a bunch of chem star beans from Benji That I am waiting to sprout until I move, because that is a mom I really wanna keep. So I will cross the pk with that if I find a good male. Also I wanna cross the pk with A-11, so I have to get that again. Plus I suck at sprouting latley for some reason. I call it dead thumb, the opposite of green thumb. It is the wierdest thing, like writer's block for a grower. So I will practice more with shwag seeds that I can go plant in a near by wooded area once I know they are big enough to live. I'll let some lucky person have them, because i'll be in another state by harvest.

It is nice to know that it is in RI, maybe some day I can be fortunate enough to know someone with a cut. Sounds like an excellent stock for breeding.

Also HydroSun sorry to hear about continued problems with the premade systems. I have always had an apprehension about them as I have a few friends who spend their $ on systems from shops and it seems like there's always some small problem or another. I do DIY with my Aero and E&F setups (non-cannabis) and while things do break... I always know exactly why
