Self Employment

Ok..this job market is garbage. I can't find a decent job for nothing...Anybody got any ideas, aside from growing-dealing, for a legitimate income? Anybody really make any money doing internet things? Who out there works for themselves?

There was a guy earlier today who said he was making $10k a month betting on sports, and he only ever lost $65!

Good luck getting anybody to talk about this. Inventory sourcing is top secret stuff. Very hard to break into internet sales if you don't know somebody with loose lips. Too much competition. Has a direct impact on sales. I'd look into "green" consulting.

I do some online article writing. I wish I had more time to do it, it doesn't make A TON of money, but it gets me by, being a college student.

I don't know where you live....but I have a few friends who do landscaping. Small commercial clients and residential jobs keep 'em making some decent coin. The harder you work, the more you make.

You could offer love and comfort to fat chicks for $50 an hour!

Hey, fat chicks need love too...but they gotta pay.

I've been self employed for the past 8 years... " Real Estate Appraiser ".. Left being a UPS driver to do it.. Was the best thing I've ever done.. Its one of the most needed jobs out there.. Last year i made 20K more than previous year, and this year has started out busy as hell too.. Lots of people refinancing... Each state is different on the requirements. Its not hard work just a lot of common sense...lol

oooo...real estate appraiser...I just read that is a great gig!...I'm gonna check that out. I tried the "green consulting"....things got really hairy, as I'm not in a medical state. Not gonna elaborate, but u may catch my drift. I also tried landscaping, but in my area, it is very hard to compete with the large companies who employ immigrant labor at very low pay. Thanks ya'll for your responses...helps me brainstorm...

No recession here either kmk, and I am at ground zero. No matter how bad the economy gets, people always need their medicine :)

Green consulting is a legitimate career. Google it. I wasn't advising you to sell Cannabis.

Bro, I wish you the best in that...but it looks like another one of those Generic "PC" terms that means little to nothing--
Seriously..."Go Green" is just another bumper Sticker...
We all know we need to do it...but few will-- We need another answer...as Humans are not going to change their MO...just because it is right...This argument has been going since the 1930's--:hide:

So what's the difference between "Licensed", "Certified Residential", and "Certified General"?

Go fish buddy. Green consultants do stuff like energy efficiency rating. You like wasting money on heating in the winter b/c you have leaks in your house's insulation? If not, do something about it and hire a green consultant to come in with equipment that can tell you where the leaks are and how to fix them. I have a buddy in Tahoe who started doing this a year ago and has more business now than he can keep up with.

Go have a political discussion elsewhere I don't give a crap about entitled hippie douche bags, greedy conservative douche bags or the bumper stickers that divide them. Pretty sure the global warming thread is still going, try trolling there instead.
