My brother is out of ICU, and in a private room. They have him almost completely sedative free, and he is talking (and eating) well.
His face and head are purple - the bump on his head is evening out. Still massively swollen, and his one eye is blood red, and mostly closed (the eye under the bump).
He has no recollection of his fall, or getting to hospital via ambulance.
Doctors say there appears to be no swelling of his brain, and that they won't need to operate because the crack has held, and not shifted or pushed in.
It seems the worst is over - but they want him to stay for a few days just to make sure.
I took my laptop with me today, and played him my bootleg of Avatar. He watched the whole thing, and was able to make comments about stuff that was happening (a really good thing, if ya ask me).
Once again, to all my brothers and sisters that have gone out of their way to offer support and good wishes - I love you all, and I want you to know that it has helped me through this difficult time.
Peace and pot to you all - you are in my thoughts and heart.

This is awesome to hear man, it must have been so hard for you to deal with not knowing what would happen to you brother. Good thing he's got many friends to wish him along to a safe recovery, and by the looks of it an outstanding brother to take care of him. Hope your father is doing well also, and I'm sure he is much happier now that you all know your brother will be getting better. Take care CAH, PEACE

Heres hoping your brother makes a speedy recovery! Great to hear that you have been there to support him through it too Classy. Believe me when I say that as a patient it really does make an enormous difference to know that there are people who care about and are routing for you.
