Well at least one room makes me feel real happy. The Dungeon and its eight ladies bound and tied is really fun. I can smell and stare for hours.
George Smiley is right, it is hard to get a good perspective of the trees, so let me say this. I am really close to 6' and I can walk under the hoods in the Dungeon. The UC bucket is about 15" high and the bulb is a few inches in the hood so lets just say that the bulb is 5' from the top of the net pot.
So boys and girls which strain besides PK can make the DANK 5' down?

There is a BBB (BlackBerryBubba Kush) in there too, but really when you have PK who cares. BBB shown off later.

Whadeezlrg: The 42" BBB will just be a trial because it is in STG, but I expect more than one lb, and the BBB is not a huge yielder.

Stoney: Working out the root rot from the bad airstones, stupid STG, and too high water level. Once you see a Purple Kush in rock wool on top of hydroton in a 20 gal bucket then you will know it is on!

Very sexy girls ya have there my friend, they look like they'll yield beautifully for ya . I wonder how they will do packed tight in 1-2 gal, coco, ebb & flo? Whats the smell and flavor reminiscent of? Couch lock, narcotic, up high? Looks like your killin it in the dungeon, I'm guessing if ya dial in the UC it will be more what you expected, its like judging a strain by the first run, everything good takes time. I hope the Zone helps avoid any root problems. Karma, One Love
Yes very nice. Them are some nice big ass buds down low. I think thats just nuts how fat you get so low. When do them pks turn purple?

Hydrosun's Purple Kush as grown above. Smoke report? Yeah baby!
Appeal: Frosty, dense and purple hues do show on final nug.
Smell: Damn good. Stunk the house to funkytown when left un-jarred while running some errands.
Taste: YUMMYYY! This is the highlight and downside all in one. So damn good you end up being retarded after trying to satisfy your taste buds with more.

Wow. This stuff stanks!!! One hit gives me a full head high that expands from there or my heart through my whole body. But it tastes so great, one hit is just not enough, or two or three... An overall solid, earthy kush taste with hints of purple. Some buds have a distinct diesel smell and taste and others have a 50/50 mix of kush and fruity purple. The more purple buds have a little more of a hashy taste. Overall AAA quality and a lot of diversity. Fucking awesome sunshine daydream. Love it.

I think this says it well. But I welcome other ICmagers to post their smoke report in this thread. There are about a dozen authors in this thread who have smoked the PK. I've been told that PK was the best bud once again in 2009 and none of the dozen ICmagers who smoked my PK have disagreed with that statement. So I can't say enough about the PK but it is always better when others say it for me.
The system is being drained of 40gals today and replaced with 40gal RO water and 400ml Clearex. Before the drain the system was 1260PPM. I am going to crash the PPM down to under 100 by Friday and start thinking about picking them next Monday when they are 57 days. I hope to see the purple bust out when I take all their nutes away. The UC is very efficient and the plants stay really really green. In my buckets the leaves were very ripe at day 51 I hope the zero PPM for a week gets these ladies purple. The night temps in the Dungeon are the same as the day temps (high 70's low 80's) and consequently not as much purple as I'd like. I hope to get some PKs in the Upgrade room before the days heat up again. I hope to get a few nice purple plants this winter.

Actually I keep a little bit of alot of strains around. So last night was the death of both OCs pk(from your beans), and HS pk. All I have left is two powerplant phenos. They def. do the trick, but not it the taste department.
My smoke report(in my own format):
Appearance:
HSs nugs have a nice crown shape to them. High level of trichs, little leaf matter. Mostly green with purple and blueish hues. Bigger buds. 9/10
OCs nugs share the same signature crown shape. Also covered in trichs, but larger stalk/heads on trichs. Deep/almost black color in buds and leaves. Slightly leafier pheno, though. 9/10
Texture(weird, right?):
This is where I love the hs pk. It has a distinct slightly sticky, but not wet, indescribable texture. 10/10
The OC pk, has rock hard nugs. Nothin really special. Hands end up looking like you were digging through a bowl of keif after you break it up. 9/10
Smell:
Hs pk has a very kushy, almost diesel smell to it. Reeks up the joint.
9/10
Oc pk smells like a jar of blueberries with a nug of kush buried at the bottom. When it stinks up the house, you cant tell its bud. Blueberry crepes? 10/10
Taste:
Hs pk has a great kushy taste with a coffee bean in the mix.

Ocs has a berry taste, but not as overwhelming as the smell. I flushed for over 10 days, idk? 8/10
Overall high/smoke:
They both burn smooth. Both nightime treats or play xbox all day, smokes. The high is super relaxing, sedative like. No difference in this department.
Potency seems to be equal. KO smoke. 10/10
Im revegging mine still. It doesnt seem to be working though. I think I saw one new leaf at the very bottom, by the hydroton. Ill post a pic in a sec. BTW, no flowering pics as i didnt have my nikon until a few days before xmas.

This kind of talk just gets me even more excited to grow out these pk cuts I just put in the cloner. The ones I gifted to a friend are very nice and are growing fast as hell in the diy rdwc I built him. I figure I will be moving from cloner to uc in about 2 weeks. These little shits even stink like hell in the cloner.

I have to concur the stuff kicks you in the head like a mule and it’s very smooth and tasty. I would also recommend making some butter out of the leftovers and baking some amazing brownies with this stuff. You will be in “NEVER NEVER LAND” for a while I assure you.
