What's new

sativa is better weed than indica (the high)

Yeah, definitively ... I was thinking about this a while.

Scored some heavy sativa and the high is much more productive, social and what not.

I am quitting smoking Indica, and I'd never grow an indica strain again.

I don't want to be in that state of mind really.

Yeah it's a lot about preference, and individuality and what not, but for me, that's it.

The high is really much better and I never feel depressed under it, a lot of times it opens my eyes.

It also takes a lot more time to flower, for a reason :D

I agree mate. There'll be loads of folk along shortly who don't :D

You should always grow at least one indica tho as sleeping is nice sometimes ;)

I agree also. There have been Indica's that knocked me out, but overall, I see alot of Indica or Indica Hybrids because Indica's nug heavy and it's all about how much people are trying to sell. Who wants to wait 10 weeks for a plant that will stretch and not nug heavy like a Sativa (in the mind of people who grow for a profit).

Some of the best strands are Sativa, so I can't argue. But I know others could. I agree and we are all entitled to our own opinions.

I like "upper's", as my "perfectionist" mind does not like to stop or take a break..

my bro like's "downers" as he wants to relax when he comes home from work..

I guess it's all what your about, or what mood your in.. who knows how we'll think in the future..

I have always found the more dominant the Sativa the better the yeild. Of course, hybrids will always beat out pure strains in yeild. Part of the reason they were bred in the first place.

I love Indica. But if I need to do anything for the next 3-4 hours I will smoke a sativa. Indica cannabis wreak havoc on my brain; sometimes a good thing :)

I prefer a balanced hybrid myself. I like something that will keep me focused if I'm watching a movie, keep me social and talkative, something that stimulates my mind and provokes creative thought, and something that will knock me on my ass at the end of it. I'm smoking a very fruity indica/sativa hybrid that does just that at the moment, and it's amazing.

I think I like a mix a bit more my self aswell, Last night I tried some of my sativa I've been caring for, c99 dominate, and it freaking scared me, reminded me of my haze nightmare in Amsterdam abit, though do note my tolerance is very low..

I was considering deleting my account last night, I just got really scared, and stoned.. And scared..

talk about anxiety, one hit wiped me out indefanlently …

I like them both, each has own special purposes and place in the day.

This is how I like my weed.

That's like saying blond woman are better than red heads. Whatever the flavor they both have a spot in my lineup and no one sure as hell is going to turn either down.....

Some indica's will put you to sleep....
Some Sativa's will make you speed out and feel like a crack head.....

To each his own I say, But I must reach for the indica after a long day of work. :smokeit:

There is different highs to each strain but it isn't really about the sativa or indica % its more about the levels of CBN, CBD, CBG, AND of course THC.
All of those chemicals give off a different high and each user reacts differently.

For example for some people a pure haze could make them sleep, while for others or most people it would make them stay up.

I just love the plant..

It's about economics. By the time you flower a pure Cannabis Sativa you can flower perhaps two turns of Cannabis Indica. The bud piles up and the money chases the buds because Indicas have knockdown power and once you get past age 30, most people aren't out there to party all night, they are at home looking for a way to relax, kill pain and get a good night's rest.

I would love to indulge myself in the pure joy and fun that typifies the true Sativa, but the reality is that I have another row to hoe. By 6:30 p.m. the day ends and the migraine is almost always screaming along with a nice tension headache that will keep me miserable all evening (fucking gene pool - thanks for nothin' Dad). I want something to knock it down so I am not taking hydrocodone (which never really works) as a last resort. Indicas give me that edge. When I have plenty of it in the house I take zero opiates - not once. Well maybe once every couple or three months when it is a real bad, knockdown, drag-out 10 out of 10 migraine, but you get my drift. I can cut that pain in half (easily) and then get some sleep.

There was the sativa vs. indica thread here a couple of weeks ago that included an article from "R" in High Times where he was calling for growing ban on all Indicas for at least a year so as to give the Sativa the chance to bounce back. I know how he feels. I would love to have the joy and the fun and the laughter of the Sativa, but then reality intrudes and I find myself being grateful for the jar of ball-busting indica meds and that's the end of that debate.
