Paintball CO2 Useful

Can paintball CO2 tanks be used in the garden? I know BOG mentioned using a small bike tire inflator if you had nothing else but is it worth messing with something small like that? TIA

it could possibly work on a micro grow. you really need as steady level as possible with co2 not a burst at your whim. its not magic gas. DAVESNOTHERE

he is just talking about the tanks themselves, yes they would work fine if hooked up to a regulator. i think the bog thing is the same way, you dont pump the c02, that would suck

Paintball tanks are bigger than the little cartridges probably like 5lb tank it's not to big but maybe for a small micro cab or something small Idk know too much about Co2 and If there is a different grade for paintball use than there is for drinks and garden supply who knows :dunno::dunno:

Fine for microgrows with a reg & solenoid . Just have a few 20oz full on hand at all times because you will be switching them out on a daily basis . It will be cheaper to just use bulk tanks . For the price of four 20oz paintball tanks you can buy one 20-50# bulk tank . Check out beverage suppliers for bulk tanks or just rent a bulk from a welding gas company and tell them it's for paintball if they ask .

if he has a bunch already then its ok. like the others say, i suggest this for a micro sealed cab

Thanks for the replies. Once I get things straight and stop killing plants I'll look at doing something with a small tank.

CO2 for paintball are rather small in volume but for a cab grow it just may work, depends on the release rate and size of your tank.

if youre still killing plants, co2 shouldnt even be a thought in your head.

what would be the point of co2 in a micro anyways people? squeeze out an extra gram, or just to say you did it? seems like a pita for nada.
KISS, get down the basics. Many growers grow topshelf shit with the air youre breathing.

I agree i wouldnt waste my time with the CO2 if your killing plants... Stick to the basics and get those plants in line... Dont even waste the time of the day thinking about co2... Get the basics down first... If your killing plants then that means your already over thinking the process your doing...

But as far as your question goes.... CO2 is CO2 and plants love it so if you can find a way to regulate it then it would work...

Yeah thanks. I know. You get eager to have something great but in reality I have more basic issues to sort out first. Patience is tough.
