I was given an ounce of bagseed buds and it only had a few seeds in it. like under 15 seeds in an ounce of bud.

so the question is: could thouse seeds have a chance of being a good stain?

here is a few pix of the buds.
also the bud has a great tast and a greater buzzz. it kind of has a full body buzz. also the buzz lasts quite a long time.

So I was thinking I could grow some of the seeds out to see if I could grow this bud anyway better.

I think ill add them to my other bagseed collection for a later use.

I LOVE GROWING BAGSEEDS.:xmastree::xmasnut: :xmasnut: :xmasnut: :eggnog: :eggnog:

There is no such thing as bad pot, it all depends on how you grow it. Most often bad weed has been over processed (dry sieved) and grown poorly.

a well grown bag seed will be as good as you took care of it.

Yea I'd say it's pretty much luck of the draw. We always keep swaggy seeded buds seeds and plant them outside each season. Some can be super frosty tasty and potent others are horrible and some a mix you never really know like that.

yeah genetics do play a big part in it, but you can take some FIRE, grow it well, package it up all shitty in a vac bag and ship it across countries/states and it will be nowhere NEAR its capabilities, whereas you can grow some mediocre genetics very well and have a far better smoke.

yeah I wouldnt even really say swag really, just some beans.

if the herb it came from is even moderately decent, the beans are no question worth growing out.

doesnt look too bad but then it doesnt look special

worth keeping but grow it outdoors first i wouldnt take the risk with other plants in a bud grow... higher chance of the seed being hermi but you may find some fem/males in there, only use for breeding if every seed is either ALL male of fem steer away from any strain with hermis seed specially bag/bushseed from OZ + s/e asia..

IMO you can't really tell until you have grown out the seeds that were in the bud. One of my first (and most enjoyable) growing experiences was with some bagseed that came out of some bud that I rated as shit, even shittier than the other commercial crap doing the rounds at the time. The bud tasted/smelt like shit, constantly had to be re-lit and was weaker than anything else I'd had that year. Anyway, just for shits and giggles me and a mate popped a cpl of seeds and put them in the backyard, planning to let them take care of themselves. That all changed when 2 of the plants gave off a foul stench half way through veg and we decided we'd give them a 'lil bit of TLC and see how we went. Long story short, both turned out to be beautiful, huge, crystal covered ladies with huge fan leaves. We took good care of them and needless to say we didn't need to buy any weed for a long long time. That was almost 15 years ago and since then I've continued to run bagseed here and there with mixed results. I agree however that a lot of the time shit, seeded weed can be the result of amateur commercial growers screwing up their grows, not just shitty genetics...

Are you a gambling man, #1?? Because that's what growing bagseed is... It can be great and it can be horrible, it's just a matter of luck...

if the weed in the bag was unique and worth preserving,,bagseed is a gift from the man upstairs:)

Genetics is everything. It takes the same about the same amount of time to grow schwag and good quality herb.......why even waste your time on schwag? It's less potent, has seeds, tastes like shit.....there's a reason why schwag only costs $300/lb., cuz it sucks!!! (Although when you unload them at $100/zip, the profit margin is much larger) This is why mexican cartels make most their money selling dirt cheap schwag.

Look at it this way, if shit ever hits the fan (knock on wood that it doesn't), you go down the same, whether it's schwag or dank.

You're better off using your time & $$$$ on quality genetics, the same effort goes into it.

I've seen numerous patients purchasing clones from unreliable sources just to find out the shit they are growing is crap and a waste of time. (this includes some dispensaries as well)

Hope this helps........keep it lit :)

This is true... In fact EVERY strain came from a bag from somewhere... But it is a gamble, I've had great plants from bagseed, and I've had hermaphroditic lil bitches ruin a crop too! Roll those dice though, see what you get... The product you have looks decent, and it probably was seeded by an untended male; so those beans are more than likely good to use..
