Cultivation vs. Comsuption: Which would you give up?

Obviously this is hypothetical, just wondering, if you HAD to give up one or the other . . . NO excuses or alternatives (for the sake of my question) which would you give up, growing bud or consuming it (smoking, vaping, whatever.)


I never thought I'd say it, but if I had to either stop smoking/eating/drinking/vaping bud or stop growing it, I'd stop consuming.

Smoking pot isn't half as addictive as growing it, IMO.

What's your opinion, which would you give up of the 2?

Consumption in a heart beat. I've def thought about it before.
If a doctor told me I had to stop using cannabis or I would die, I would be bummed but oh well, not the end of the world.
If I could never grow it again it might be.

indoors id choose smoking over growing, if you grow outdoors, id prob have a shot at saying the plants will come first.

One without the other loses value once you started growing your own. Look what happens to ya when ya take a break from growing - every time you get high you start missing it like a lost love.

I get what your saying but money had nothing to do with my answer. If it was up to me I'd spend all my time working on/growing. A wise man said something along the lines of, "living life is just something you do in between making love."
For me it's more like making love and living life is just part of how I fill my time when not thinking about/working on/being with my plants.

I only posted this thread because now that I've grown I don't know how i ever lived without it. Paying for herb off the street?? No way.

It would be hard as hell though to grow some big fat juicy buds covered in sticky-icky trichs and not partake.

Still, looks like the poll is dead even, 2 would quit toking, 2 would quit growing.

I'm interested in seeing which gets the votes

i know, i only quoted you because i very much agree with you....


i feel really good when others get benefit from the cannabis i create from nothing though...sharing it...with them....and such....

helping with vertiigo, helping with nausea, making tv more interesting, menstrual cramps, headaches, being responsible for giving a positive without any possible/foreseeable negatives is what floats my boat.

dont think i could give up cultivation because it benefits more people than just me.

so giving up consumption for me is easy...except i would have to take hard pill medication:/......but as long as i can cultivate to help people according to this hypothetical situation...

Great thread and difficult choice, but Growing is an "addiction". I love it too much.....

This isn't a hard 1 since I haven't smoked since 12/31/08. But I've been growing all year & pulled 2 harvests within said time & working on #3. So growing for me gives WAY more pleasure. Also watching friends & family get wasted on good quality herb instead of street schawg is just as fulfilling.

Needless to say she had some Bubba Kush that night.
