IMHO, Anything not readily available in seed form, and supergood As in unique in an important way, has a right to be called elite.

In fact, I am inclined to include a seed mom from any pack that turns out to be super special, because duplicating it is not an easy thing. Buy a seed pack, baby the seedlings, hopefully find a (Complete) gem (very rare). You are there. You can be proud.

Cheers - it is very tasty, but in a very unusual way (to me at least) - I havn't smoked anything similar before. Others may have though, which is why I'm interested to see what other growers think of it. It may well be a commercial strain that was just planted from seed in Jamaica, but I've never seen resin production on this scale, or such giant calyxes before on a commercial strain.

I hope that spreading it around may shed some light on its origins. And get some killer new crosses made with it too - I'm onto that already...

A) have people offering you tons of elites cause they want some of your fire

B) you would have all kinds of dank and thus the bug up your ass that caused you to rant like that would not exist

i was under the impression that you could self any female into making seeds and they would be all female..NOT HERM, did I read wrong info?

Yes if done properly they should all be female without herm, but this still isnt an exact genetic copy like a clone is.

Forgot two things... Usually, IMHO, an Elite is something not always Practical to grow. As in low yields, regardless of return compensation...
Maybe it clones poorly... Long flowering time. Challenging to finish properly.. Something.

Just a question of supply and demand.

Anything special must be 'strategically' shared (oh oh, now I am gonna get it. lol) and backed up. Of course.

I'm starting the new year with smoke grown by my very own hands! It's a wonderful feeling!! Thanks IC, and the cannabis community as a whole. Happy New Year to all, and grow on!

P.S. There aren't really many "Elite" clones in my neck of the woods to be had, so hey, it could be worse.

I've been blessed to get many great Elite clones and have grown many seeds and I think you can do great both ways . I never get as excited as doing a good seed grow since it's like a treasure hunt and can be great or so so but as long as your enjoying what ya do

Grow out F2s, and be prepared to pop extra to find something you like, or come up with the extra few bucks to buy seeds where the selection has been done for you by a professional. Or move to a med state and buy verified clone only genetics. None of these approaches is "inferior". All can produce stunning results in the right hands.

If it's not the bargain seed buyers, it's flouro growers, or the LED people, or the vert growers, or the organic hydro crowd. I swear, people need to just let go of their persecution complexes and do what they feel, life is too short and this hobby is too uplifting. Save the angst for a topic that needs it.

In My Honest Opinion, this has to be some of the better logic in the thread, stop complaining and do something about it, or you are just as much a part of the problem as the sheep and nose divers...

Anything that comes out of my garden that might be considered elite and the ones that are not gets passed to everyone I know free but they always ask me whats is the best so I give them the best lol. This would be great if everyone did it

I'm no sheep and take offense to being called one. My lifestyle is as far from conventional as possible.
This does not apply to most, but some oldtimer growers methods, and growing knowledge are outdated. Not saying that new is better than old, but growers should always be evolving and learning, striving for continuous improvement like martial arts or poker.
Starting great genes from seeds and picking a keeper is priceless as is acquiring are rare cut.
