i had the same problem with my plants ozz. i repotted mine and just fed ph'd water. cured the problem. once the problem was resolved i used 1/4 strength nutes, the worked my way up to 1/2 then so on. this worked for me. maybe the nutes you added to the soil made the mixture too hot for your little plants which would cause some burn.

looks a lot similar to the problem your having. here is a pic

lookin good friend :)
i'm just finishing my first round over here, and it looks like you're sucking up info just like i am... very respectable start

few things to consider regarding the spots:
- are you feeding with every water?
- organic or not, i have found that a 24hr 'air-out' for the water is good practice. the chlorine is gone by then and maybe a few others. I don't have to pH the water when do it.
- do you know the pH of your water, with or without ferts?

my thoughts on your dots... :joint:

Thanks a ton for the input guys, Ill look into that guide and see ...

Im not sure about a calcium deficiency, I used agricultural lime at 1 teaspoon a gallon, and most recommend 1 tablespoon so I have to think that theres enough in there, but not too much. Also the garden tone has calcium at 3% I believe.

Its possibe the granular ferts made it a bit hot, but I didnt think this looked like burn from what Ive read. Maybe someone more experienced could elaborate on this.

I have NOT been airing out my water. Stupid me, I should have known better. In fact I should havejust bought RO from the start. I told myself I would to avoid problems but ... I didnt. Ill start airing out the water from now on for sure and see if it helps any.

I do not know the PH of the water or the soil. Im not using liquid ferts though. The only thing I will be adding from now on is water and maybe some molasses here and there unless I see a deficiency that requires it.

At this point I guess Im at a loss I think I might just do this next watering with straight water and see what comes of it. Without knowing if its a PH issue, a nute deficiency, or too much ferts.. Im kinda screwed.

Man ....... after looking through that guide it REALLY looks like its a calcium deficiency.. I just dont know how it could be since I did add the lime to the soil. However, I think I will do a foiler spray with diluted calicum as per the guide and see what happens. I hope this problem isnt due to too much calcium or fert burn cuz I hate to add more if its already got to much ... lol.

Lights are off right now but Ill do it tomorrow unless someone else has any better suggestions??

Well, Im 11 days past 12/12 flip and I believe I have two females and two males. Luckily, one of the males is in the small container so thats good Im able to get rid of it and free up some more space in the bins for the lone, two plants.

Heres some pics, I really havent done anything with the deficiency, just been letting them go. Also, I havent topped or LST'd or anything of that nature at all. Correct me if Im wrong, but at this point its to late to top isnt it??

Heres the two females Im keeping:

This being my first grow, and from what Ive read it looks like I correctly sexed these........ and heres some close ups of the males:

Heres a few pics of the ladies today ... wish I could get some supplimental lighting down low to those other bud sites that are forming... I guess Ill just have to make due with what it is. I realize theres a ton of things that come into play, but anyone have a guess on what I might yield off these two?? I have no freaking clue this is my first grow.. lol... maybe a zip off the two of them?? Less??

Great! lol .. why havent I done this before!?? j/k

I hear ya though ... I decided to add some bottom/side lighting, just a couple 23w'Rs

Ill watch the temps throughout today to make sure they are ok but should be fine I would think. Anything up to 80-85 deg is ok ... correct?? Im sitting at about 71 deg before this side lighting... so total I am running 3 x 42 watt cfls up top, with a glass heat shield and its own exhaust fan, then these two 23w inside the grow chamber which need to be cooled via the scrubber ... hopefully the temps will stay ok I think it will help a lot with the lower bud sites.

Nice grow, OZZ! Plants are looking good! How tall are they out of curiosity? Come join the Rubbermaid club in the micro grow forum, we'd love to have you!

Lookin good man. I like those side mounted lights you added. I'm working in some 18gals and am having problems with uneven growth. I think adding some lights on the side would help even things out. I have one of those ceramic shop lights, too. How close to the top of the plants do you have your top lights right now? Cheers.

Thanks guys!

The plants are about 18" Im guessing (from the soil surface) give or take a little. The plants were pushing right up against the glass heat shield as I had them raised a little - I never did take pics of the glass heat shield but added it a bit later.

Just yesterday I lowered them a bit. I only have about 10" TOPS worth of verticle room left, probably more like 8" so. I hope they dont stretch out on me!! lol .. I think Im going to tie down the tops today or tomorrow to try to help somewhat, Im pretty much crossing my fingers on that.

Hella - Ill stop by the thread! Thanks for the invite :)

So I did a light LST job on them two days ago to try to preserve the little verticle room I have left and also to let some light down to the lower bud sites.

Heres how the ladies look today, 17 days into flower:

Do you think I should trim some of those top fan leaves??

....... and for those that asked, here is a pic of the whole contraption.. lol. I have 2 x 20 gallon rubbermaids. I have 3 x 42 w CFL's up top. There is a glass heat shield installed which I did not get a pic of as the whole thing is a bit cumbersome. However, as you can see in the below pics I have passive intakes at the floor level as well as up above. The glass heat shield is installed JUST BELOW the upper passive intakes. This way the weak pc fan that is exhausting the heat directly can easily pull fresh air through the lighting compartment and out. The scrubber has approx. 1" thick carbon layer, built out of two sterilite containers as per RedGreenery's design. I have a single 78 cfm pc fan as you can see, pulling through a single run of 4" ducting that is connected BELOW the heat shield, to the main grow chamber. On the back, you can see the two runs of 4" dryer ducting. THe glass heat shield is installed between these two runs. If you look closely you can see a screw off to the left that is one of the support screws holding the glass in place. The top run is the small pc fan exhausting the light chamber, the bottom run is connected to the scrubber and responsible for cooling, and scrubbing the main grow chamber. No smell at all the scrubber works great. Since I added the side lighting down in the main grow chamber, the scrubbers pc fan is responsible for cooling that compartment as well and is doing a fine job temps stable at 75 deg.

I have 3 - 2.25 x 2.25" passive intakes in the bottom grow chamber and 2 - 2.25x2.25" passive intakes in the top lighting chamber above the heat shield.
