Sup IC!

I am documenting my current experiment with a fabulous cut of GDP that I have...

Basically it is 1 GDP plant, in a 5 gallon bucket of coco.. the bottom inch or so is hydroton, and was scrogged and vegged for a few weeks.

I am flowering in a tent, under a 600w light, and want to see if I can pull a pound of this baby. if so I plan on constructing a RDWC and running my GDPs

Anyways I will be taking pictures every few days to document the grow so let me know if you have any questions..

Lights on temp is about 75, lights off about 65, Hand watered daily with H&G nutes, currently day 10 and 1000ppms

On to the :xmastree:

yo nice son, i want to see how this finishes
how long you veg and what light you use for vegging?
can i see your 5 gallon bucket of coco.. the bottom inch or so is hydroton?

Awesome man. looks like you have a chance. I'm wondering about the 5 gallon bucket though. If it were me, I would've gone with atleast a 10 gallon, if not a 15 gallon pot. Keep us updated on the pics and good luck.

I'll stick around for this one, love me some scrog grows! Can't wait to see if you can make her yield!

Sorry, on the last one first 2 pics were of day 1, second two pics are day 6

this one both pics are from day 10, which they are asleep and about to wake up for day 11!

last pic is just a teaser of my friends room... some AK47s at day 68 being flushed out for a week

and just to be perfectly clear, all of these pics are of a friend of a friends grow, not my own... mkkay :elf: mkkay

thought about going larger on the bucket... but figured being watered every day like a hydro system wouldnt matter much.. seen coco plants with 3xs the coco yield the same amounts when watered correctly so there is still a chance.. she goes through a couple gallons a day easy already, so i would imagine she will be drinking quite a bit this go round LOL

was vegged under a 400w mh for about 3-4 weeks (was weakest of the mother plants), flowering under a 600w hortilux about 10-12 inches away.

Look fun, I love big plant grows.

Your line of thought on pot size is correct. I think five gallons is quite a bit for coco, and could get you to your goal with the veg/scrog combo. Personally, I would have went a week longer on the veg.

looking nice...

10-12" away far for a 600w... 1k's can get 2-6" away - if air circulation +good...

why not place 400 over, too? 1k better than 600 for large plant... doable, but longer veg & more light only help!

was that 400w veg 18/6?

maybe place the lights 3-6" away... plant still has bunch to go to reach 1# dry... maybe seek 4-5# wet... 25-20% dry-from-wet...

maybe since just started flowering can get there... plant looks about avg size to start a 1# tree... maybe little larger+...

may require 1/2 gal per day @ weeks 3-4, if water daily... or gal if water every 2-3 days. depending on cut.

what catches run-off?

ppms? keeping them up wont hurt, if want to fully feed large plant... or, 'full-strength' nutes?...

nice to see a tree grow!... when harvest & check root mass, may seek 10 gal next attempt...

foliar feeding w/ pro-tekt, or other silicate-base supp may increase ability to hold heavy weight... stakes/diy tomato cage + also...

best wishes for your goal... looks like, maybe get close if get 600w light closer & add 400w:chin:add supports... 75% of goal seem doable...

why temps so low?
no c02?

Hey there Mistress, thanks for stopping in...

yes it is about 10 inches away.. it allows the entire canopy to be hit by light.. any closer and the outer canopy gets very little light, and i start to see a smaaaaal bit of leaf curl from heat.. its usually closer than in the pic, but i move it up to be able to get a clear picture of the plant... plus this GDP barely stretches at all, so i have found if in the first couple of weeks i leave it up a little higher, i get a tad more stretch and bud sites, increasing the yield slightly..

the 400 is for my mothers, and the 600 has plenty of penetration for this particular strain.. it will probably only be a foot or less off of the screen when it stops stretching.. and i am a firm believer in 600s over 1000s due to efficiency and more light points, greater plant numbers, and more even canopy

yes the 400 is always on 18/6 for mothers

this thing is already sucking down water.. there is a big clear plant saucer at the bottom which catches the runoff, and get sucked back up within a few hours..

I will be staking the branches up when they start to put on some weight.. foliar feeding every 4 days with Dark Energy till week 3.. forgot to mention that.

Im pretty sure this baby will yield at least 350g.. this cut is a massive yielder that my buddy personally crossed.. ive had kens cut and some other crappy ones, this one starts budding about week 3 and just gets harder and harder and finishes around 60 days.. the nugs are rock rock hard and weigh out very nicely.. previously flowered this strain after 1 week of veg yielded 4.5lbs off of 2400w and 64 plants. co2 though hehe

temps are low because its cold outside LOL it could be a little higher in there but this is the "expiremental tent" so its not really what i would call up to par growing conditions.. the other room is 2400w, 2 6x3 ebb n flo tables, co2 controller, "mostly" sealed room LOL and the other other room is 3000w over 4x8 table, co2, fully sealed, professional setup.

the reason my friend has the tent is he is debating wheter or not to do a larger scale RDWC with vertical lights and about 16 trees, or converting the ebb n flo tables to aeroponic tables, adding another one and doing about 150 plants.. either way the two rooms will be combined making a 3600w fully sealed grow, depending on the outcome of a few more trials :eggnog:

thanks for your imput!! keep it coming!

Looking good, your plant is nice and healthy. 5 gallons of coco will be plenty. Good luck!

Sorry, not to be riding your balls but I once again have to call bullshit. Please show a picture of a plant 2 inches away from a 1k. I don't care if you have the best air circulation, there is no way that plant won't bleach.

You don't seem to have any experience in indoor gardening so I'm not sure why you keep giving advice. But then again there's a lot that I don't understand about the internet.
